Well, we made it to the FA Cup Final, where we lost to Arsenal on pk's. Rio Ferdinand would have scored the match winning and cup winning goal, as well as his first goal as a Red Devil...however, his goal was disallowed.

2004-2005 Record:
3rd place in Premiership.
38 matches played.
77 Points.
22 wins, 11 draws, 5 losses in the league.

Starting goalkeeper Roy Carroll was released from the club after a horrific season.

Ryan Giggs and Tim Howard have both signed 2 year extensions to their contract.

Ryan Giggs is just 1 goal away from joining the list of top 10 United goal scorers of all time.

really what is the list u have a link?

Becks

Bobby Charlton topped the list, pushing over 240 goals. Giggs is tied for 10th with 131.

Hopefully for next season:

We can hold onto C. Ronaldo
We can get another season out of Keane
Glazer does not mess with our midfield, defenders, or strikers.

Our keeper, Carroll, ruined the season.

yea fergerson shouldnt have lost his faith in Howard like that, a keeper comfidence is based in his coach's confidence in him

Indeed, and Howard was named EPL Keeper of the year 2 seasons ago.

Howard could have performed better if it wasn't for his Tourette Syndrome I believe. I heard that "TS" makes the patient very stressful, disturbed and angry. Therfore he can lose focus anytime in the match ...

Becks

Aye, I heard about that, and saw the interview with him about it. He takes medication, which reduces his twitches, but he still promises that the syndrome has no effect on him during matches because it is the only time he is completely focused.

What do you mean  Explain please?

Becks

For a keeper, twitching is a reflex. Reflexes and keepers go well together.

yea exactly what i meant, and that can be most effective for penalties

Well that's possible :) But the amount of depression "TS" patients go under is massive :( . I really feel for Howard....

Playing for United is probably a dream came true for Howard. But what about his personal life? The time he's alone. He probably be very depressed that time. "Depression" and "TS" are cousins.

While he is a long way from home (he lives in Tennessee in America) he has a girlfriend, thousands if not millions of fans, millions of dollars, and he is taking medication for the TS. I am sure he is fine.

In profile: Glazer sons a mix bag for Man Utd
tribalfootball.com - June 8, 2005

The appointment of Malcolm Glazer's three sons to the Manchester United board is a mixed bag for supporters.

Joel Glazer, 38, claims to be the 'soccer nut' of the Glazer family, after sharing a flat with a Spurs fan sparked his interest.

He is likely to get the job of running Manchester United and looking after his father's investment on a daily basis.

Ten years ago, Joel was named executive vice-president of gridiron team Tampa Bay Buccaneers and he is credited with having 'extensive sports management experience'.

Bryan, 40, is charged with running the Buccaneers on a day-to-day basis and has completely overhauled the brand - even redesigning the team's logo.

The marketing whizkid will squeeze every drop out of United's global appeal.

He drove through the development of the Buccs' Raymond James Stadium. And his idea of launching 'Pewter Partners' boosted advertising revenue from blue-chip American companies.

Eldest brother Avram, 44, is credited with formulating father Malcolm's £790million takeover of United.

But his business record in the US is chequered, with the disastrous Zap.com internet venture running up huge losses.

Avram - chairman of the Omega Protein Corporation, the Glazer family's fish oil business - is likely to be handed the task of structuring the debt that the bid has placed United in.

Valencia confident of seeing off Man Utd in Villa deal
tribalfootball.com - June 8, 2005

Valencia remain favourites to land Real Zaragoza striker David Villa.

Zaragoza have rejected a cash bid of £6 million for the Spanish international, insisting Villa will only leave for his buyout clause - which is £8 million.

In the past 48 hours, Villa's agent has revealed that Manchester United are also interested in the young striker.

However, Valencia are confident of landing the prolific forward by adding a player to their cash bid. Marco Di Vaio and Salva Ballesta have been mentioned as possible makeweights.

Zaragoza have assured Valencia the deal will go through if they include striker Mista in the operation

Park is officially at Manchester United. If they play him in a striker's role, then expect the chances of seeing Smith or Saha decrease a lot.
