The Bianconeri lost on penalties against Kitchee despite two splendid goals from Ale Del Piero and Pavel Nedved.

“It was a great game and very entertaining, but obviously I am not happy with the result, said the ever-competitive Fabio Capello. “We deserved to win this and I liked the effort my men put in. It’s a shame Kitchee scored with their only two shots on goal, but that is football.

Over 12,000 fans attended the Grand Promenade Cup tie in Hong Kong, where Juve were winning 2-0 at half-time. Alessandro Del Piero was again the star of the show, opening the scoring with a delightful solo effort before setting up Nedved for the second.

After the break, Kitchee got back on level terms with a Gumbs double and the local side eventually won 7-5 on penalties.

“I had real fun and it was wonderful to play in Hong Kong, said Del Piero on the official Juventus website.

“The local fans are very warm and passionate, just as they were in Japan. I think that we should’ve won, but the most important thing today was entertaining the supporters.

Considering his warm reception and impressive performances during this summer tour of the Far East, Del Piero may well reconsider reports of an offer from Japanese club Yokohama Marinos.

Juventus’ tour will conclude with a friendly against FC Tokyo at the Ajinomoto Stadium on June 7.

Juventus: Chimenti (Bonnefoi 82); Birindelli, Thuram (Ferrara 60), Zebina, Pessotto (Garbini Pereira 46); Kapo, Tacchinardi, Zanchi (Parisi 42), Nedved (Aronica 88); Del Piero (Sculli 71), Trezeguet (Tchite 78)

hahahahaha i like your brutal honesty. Well done Del Piero. I get the feeling that Juve arent exactly playing 100% football, after all this tour is a money making event, not something Juve must win. They just have to entertain the fans.

Juventus have concluded their end of season tour of Japan with a 4-1 victory over FC Tokyo.

The home side did actually take the lead after just 10 minutes through Toda, but were unable to contain a rampant second half display by the Italians.

The Old Lady equalised with David Trezeguet on 52 minutes, before Giuseppe Sculli gave the Bianconeri the lead.

Fabio Capello’s side stretched their advantage with captain Alex Del Piero who grabbed a brace in the space of six minutes.

Meanwhile, Lecce have moved to cool talk that Juve are interested in signing Marco Cassetti.

"Lecce have no need to sell their best players," stated President Rico Semeraro. "Obviously it would be hard to keep them if big clubs come in for one or two.

"I’ve read that Juventus are ready to sign Cassetti which is surprising as I still haven’t received an offer."
