I'm the top scorer on our team and most of the time I score is because I can run faster than the defenders and I just dribble the ball in and shoot in a corner... but that isn't fun for me, OR the audience.
Are there some great, entertaining, fun, amazing, or beautiful (ha sounds funny) finishes out there that I could do on the goalie?

So your a tap-in scorer?

Basically yeah...
BUT...
I've scored from far out quite a few times. But what are you going to do if you are one-on-one with the goalie? Why do you think I made this thread? So I could talk about how I did a pass-kick into the far side of the post? NO! I made this thread so I could do OTHER things besides [tapping] it in.
Sorry if I seem angry.

Don't worry about your finishes, just worry about your celebration. If you have a good celebration then your finish won't worry.
Best celebration I've seen is 7 guys line up in a triangle and the scorer rolls the ball at them and they all fall down, like bowling. I saw this at the championship game of South Carolina for 3A. It was great.

HAHA! I'm gonna get my team to do that celebration. But, it still is more fun to have a great celebration after a great finish...

I've got tons of good celebrations, from watching games, and playing them, and so on...

what matters is that the ball reaches in the net,

you can flick the ball up and overhead kick it if you want but just remember a goals a goal doesnt mater how you score it, it still counts

ehhh u dunt like to pass the ball into the back of the net?
man if i had a choice of either blastin the ball or place it i wud place it bottom corners or through the keepers legs
i think this guy is a bit of a show off..sure if u are playin wid ur frends u can do that kind of sh!t but wen u are playing for a team just get the ball into the back of the net, thts all the matters in the end...u need to score to win it...and neway u score its still counted as a goal...its not as if they are going to give u 2 extra goals for scoring a magnificant goal...just kick the god damn ball in!!!

I can't help it, it's my nature. If I have the ball infront of me and there are a few guys or maybe girls [YES] I just start juggling or doing rainbows. If you could do those things, wouldn't YOU do it? Think about it...
what matters is that the ball reaches in the net,
I agree. What's this bull about trying to look better for the audience? You're still scoring and that's what matters. A good goal may look nice but if you're finishing and a leading scoring with all of that, leave it at that. The style you have now is obviously working.

Did you see the US/Costa Rica game?
Landon Donovan tipped the ball in off a deflection, and basically just stood there and tapped it in. You think it mattered how it looked? He still got cheered for, and he still did the Airplane and everyone was still happy.

Yeah, that game was pretty cool... especially when the one guy got a red card for attempting to hurt one of the US's defenders. Anyways, on my team, all the parents know that I can score all the time, but when I do score they don't scream and yell like they do for others. Plus, in MLS or the other leagues, it is ALOT harder to score than it is when you play for a U12 team, so tapping it in is a BIG difference for Landon than for me.

You play U12 and you're worried about how you look for an audience or whether someone is cheering??? Play for yourself and your own benefit. If they don't cheer, so what. You still score goals and that's what matters!

I try REALLY hard to look good at what I do. (of course, I really wouldn't need to try cuz' my looks take care of that) Anyways, if you haven't heard my little story about this soccer camp I went to last year... this is why I am here. (no soccer camp = no SFN)
I'll try and make this short, but last year, I went to a week soccer camp. Of course, you probably already know that I am the best in our club, so I thought, "I can cream these kids. No problem." WRONG!!! I was the one GETTING creamed. I'm usually a forward, but they put me back in defender. I usually have no problem stealing a ball from someone, but they always megged me or Klinnsmaned me. Then the next day, we had a little juggling contest. I couldn't juggle at all. Only 5 touches at the most, but they were getting up to 50, 100, 200, 300, and 400. I couldn't beleive you could get that many touches. So then I saw a bunch of guys crowding around this kid who happened to play for a U13 team that held 6 Midwest Region Titles. So, I joined and watched him juggle. Pretty soon EVERYONE was crowding him and we watched in amazement (this kid is only 10 days older than me) as he got closer and closer to 900 juggles. Then after a few minutes, he passed 900 and was still going up! Anyways, he stopped at 1000 because we were 20 minutes behind schedule.
Ok, I know that this isn't story time, but ever since I went to that camp and watched people do Rainbows and Bicycle Kicks, I've been dying to learn every single trick in the book. Ok, now you know my story so you can get on with your lives.

the kid was 12 and he done 1000 kick ups!! man.... must b some kid to do that... anyway getting back on topic, im sure you can find tricks on the internet but i dont know bout tricks for scoring goals, actually you could round the keeper, either with stepovers or the maradona trick (bit like what henry done to cudicini in the FA cup semi final last year), u can chip the goalie, like rainbow thing that people was saying or just a simple but humiliating nutmeg :silly:

doesnt matter who can juggle the ball more times or wat... if u can do yur job effectively tat is the matter. effectiveness over anyting in a football match.
take for example shevchenko vs. ronaldo shevchenko doesnt do any tricks at all just run n score. n ronaldo does quite alot of tricks n sumtimes runs round the keeper n scores. both of them are highly rated strikers. n both get the same applause. if ur not the best in scoring the best lukin goal its not like its gona beat a goal tat was tapped in. afta all its still gona b a goal... n the goal from ronaldo is still gona b 1 goal n the goal from shevchenko is stil gona b 1 goal.
if u dunt wana take a tapped in goal i wud any day... another suggestion is tat if u were goin to tap it in y dunt u take the ball away from the net n start dribblin again from outside the box n try to score... then mayb ull realise y tap in goals arent tat bad

Not really man...If you're good enough to play for a team like that, then goals will come just as easily as if you do, since you are playing on the same level as they are.
But juggles are showing off alot. And I'm going to a soccer camp this summer. Honestly I want players that are 10x better than me, that way, I can play up to my superiority.

The best soccer skill training program I've come across are the Coervers drills. I use them with my son, and he loves them. His skill improvement over the past year has been phenomenol, and his coach is wondering what I feed him :-)) Pasta and Fagoli of course ;)
