What have u heard transfer wise?? I have heard names like Georgatos and Cocu comeing in and Zahovic going out as we all know.

If anyone has any info on transfers post it here.

Ayala is another one on the list along with Konstantinou who is a great player. Patsatsoglou is almost certain, he is a great midfielder.

I also heard they are chasing a player from Espanyol, but I can`t remember his name.

Manson from Newells Old Boys is on the hit list as well, but he has a huge price tag.

We have to sell off Zahovic after the Euros.

How`s things in Florida Chris? You live in a fantastic state. Do you get to go to Orlando?

Hey Yianni,

I just heard Juninho is comeing.He is going to sign on monday!Atl.Madrid have been relegated and he wants out.Patsatsoglou is a good pick up but a Italian Team is also interested.

And Mihajlovic,

We were all excited when Zahovic signed.He is a good player and can really lift a team but,when he came he did not fit in.He then became an @sshole and is just one of the most umprofessinal players I have ever seen.He blew up twice that I can remember 1)When our former coach D.Bajevic subed him out of the game he blew up like a baby.2)Again he was subed out of the game by A.Bigon and he totally blew up AGAIN!And to make matters worse for him the Sub (Alexandris) scored the tying goal and it was against Panathinaikos!Boy was his face red!He was given a 2nd chance and kussed the coach out and almost hit the guy.WHAT A BABY!!! So he's gone next year.Not only that but he wasn't playing good,I guess he actually found a team with some TALENT other than himself.

I dont think that Georgatos will come back to Olympiakos this year. Anyway... i dont care if he comes or not. We signed ZE ELIAS!
He is a World Class player. He played in Leverkusen , Inter and in the Brazilian leauge , he is also a member of the Brazilian National Team. Together with our 2 other Brazilians , Giovanni and Luciano de Sousa they will destroy any defense.
I also heard that we may sign another Brazilian ... ZAGO who playsfor Roma!
Konstantinou will come to us 100% .
We allready signed Patsatsoglou.
We will sign a sub Goalkeeper. I think it will be Georgiou.
And finally we are just a view steps away from the big Anderlecht Playmaker , Par Zetemberg!

chris man, its talk like that that i don't like. why semifinals and not finals? you sell yourself short, and if the players think in the same way, they're not doing anything. its time for all the greek teams playing in europe (at least you guys, aek, and pao) to realise that they HAVE been swimming with the big fish for years now, and they have nothing to be scared of. enough with this inferiority complex!!

As for Greek teams in Europe, they have shown real spirit at times, and could have won some important games but have lost or drawn in the dying minutes. There is still a long way to go. Olympiakos have a real chance, but will rely on the foreigners to get them over the line. I agree that they should aim for finals and they do but it`s a long road till the end. I liked Aek in particular, because they showed real character with youth and mainly Greek players.

Confidence is the issue here, the coach has to convince the players that they are equal and not inferior to any Real Madrid, Juve etc..We respect them way too much.

i don't think that its a respect issue so much aas it is a fear issue. they see the colors and stripes of juve or inter, and fall into an inferiority thing. they should realize that many of them are good enough to be playing for those colors as well, like georgatos, like machlas. but things are changing, with olympiakos at the front. i think pao has a good mentality, as well. but my team, aek, i think still has some problems with that issue. but things are changing with us as well.

question: since now bajevic is an ex-coach for both our teams. do you think that he was a poor coach for a winning mentality in europe?? i always thought so when he was with aek. i remember the games we played in the CL group with ajax, milan, and casino saltzburg. aside from 1 game with cazino and great efforts against milan, they gave up. it was always early exit with bajevic. after bajevic left, we went to the quarterfinals of the cupwinners cup 2 years in a row, and were ranked 9th best team in europe.
what do you guys think?

Hi friends of the famous red and white club,

Mr. Kokkalis said yesterday that his club is a step away from Zetemberg and Patsatzoglou. For Georgiou is almost clear.
It´s more difficult at the moment for Konstantinou because the strange thing that happens with AEK-Stolitidis-Iraklis. The Salonikis are up to biult a new team that only can do with this players.
He also said Georgatos loves OLYMPIAKOS as the people of the club likes him and it would be great for Georgatos if he come back but the greeks had not agreed with the italians about the money. You see the only problem is the money.

I think OUR president is great. Praise him. This guy is excellent. What he do with this famous greek club in the past is brilliant. HE IS OUR LEADER. Not only in soccer but also in BBALL ( new singings next season: Oikonomou, Ratsa, perhaps Danilovic and Rigonto, let´s see ).

I like the idea of us getting Konstantinou,but then again I hate it when the smaller teams like Iraklis sell there big players!I mean what are they gonna be without Konstantinou and Stoltidis?! And they might represent Greece in the Uefa Cup! HA! Not without those players!

And as far as the mentality,OSFP really helped the confidence of all Greece when they steped up and almost knocked out Juventus!That showed that Greece can compete,not only with foriegners but with Greeks on the team to.The only foriegners were Gogic and Djordjevic in that game against Juve.


And as far as the transfers go I have been waiting all along for Zahovic to go,that is going to be some mad cash!!! With that money we can get Georgatos and another "big" player.I really hope we get Patsatzoglou to,then we would have future "young" greeks in Choutos,Patsatzoglou and Tziortzopoulos.

Next year is the year boys! I can't wait!

Here are some fact what our president said:
Olympiakos chairman Socrates Kokkalis revealed the club's transfer
plans regarding both the football and
basketball departments on Thursday.
We'll have fulfilled all our transfer aims by the end of June, said Kokkalis. And added:
"We've forwarded negotiations with
Michalis Konstandinou of Iraklis. Coach Yiannis Mantzourakis proposed three South American players of high quality in case Konstandinou case ends in a negative way. Please bare with me for not announcing their full names, as we haven't made up our mind yet. All I can tell you for the moment is that they are NT strikers in order to achieve our aims in both Greece and Europe."

About the other transfers:
- Patzatzoglou is a step away from the great harbour ( Poursaitidis and Kontis will go at the same time to Xanthi )
- About Zeterberg, i think he is next year in our team. For this theme you can go to www.rsca.be (http://www.rsca.be) ( official hp of Anderlecht ).

I think our great president is builing an stong team for the next CL-competition. Let´s see, only 7 days till 30th.

I just heard Por Zetterberg signed with Olympiakos from Anderlecht (Spelling).I don't know much about him but he scored 16 goals last year and he is a midfielder.

Hey Chris,

Zetteberg is a good signing for Olympiakos. He has played several champions leauge games and has also scored. He will be useful to us and will provide extra drive from the middle. I don`t know how important he was to Anderlecht but he has many games under his belt and will no doubt fit in well. This will enable Giovanni and Houtos to take charge up front. Ze Elias will also provide strength in the middle. It looks good, but we need to strengthen our defense with a couple of new players. I hope we get Ayala with the money we get from Zahovic.

I don`t think we will get Konstantinou, but Patstazoglou seems to be on the way.

We have plenty of midfield depth which is great but our defense is lacking somewhat. Mantzourakis and Kokkalis are looking at several options. I hope they get quality. With a strong defense we have a good chance in the Champions League. We should treat each game as a final.

As far as signing him,it was a good move,but I know nothing about him.What position in MId does he play.Do u think he's gonna be a starter?

he plays in the 10 position, like tsartas, and he can score as well. his main game is providing thru balls to the offense. from what i hear, he is currently the best swedish player, and has been a leader figure for anderlecht, as well as the captain. the fans protested the move greatly. not only will he start, but he will be one of your best players, as soon as he adjusts to the new environment, so you should give him time.

How good of a player is he?

He is a great striker Chris. He was the top goalscorer with about 34 goals. No doubt he will work well with Houtos and Giovanni. We have a strong list of strikers and with Ze Elias, Giannakopoulos, Djordevic dominating the middle we will be lethal. I wish we sign a strong defender. They are so hard to come by.

hey you guys really are making super transfers ( i wish i could say the same for aek)... and you've added alot of firepower. but your bug problem was in the back, defence, and you guys haven't signed anyone. it would be good for you to gice zaxobitch to barca and get de boer, or at least search the market for good backs...
and it looks like both our teams are going to have 4 or 5 foreigners in the starting line-up... dunno how i feel about that

I know how u feel.4-5 is a bit much,but I guess it's just normal now.I mean Galatasaray signed Jardel,Boskic to replace Suker and there team isn't even Turkish anymore.

As long as we have at least 6 Greeks in the starting line-up i'll be ok.But u are right about the 'D'.I'm starting to get worried.I mean names like Ayala have come up but nothing happened yet.We know we have at least 2 strong defenders in Mavrogenidis and Amanatidis.And I believe it's time for Antzas to be a starter.He has proved himself.he is the next Dabizas.So far with the team we haev this is how I would do it:
