View Full Version : Green light for Pablo GarcĂ*a
http://www.as.com/portada/imgs/portadas/pablogarcia0106.jpg
Butragueño has given the green light to Osasuna's "5", the Uruguayan Pablo GarcĂ*a. Already last year el Buitre already recommended his signing and now this year he's interested in him again.
He's convinced this player would work perfect in Real Madrid's center midfield and that the so called "middle class" players are as important to the club as the galacticos are.
Pablo Garcia's contract with Osasuna expires in June 2006 and he's already received offers from Sevilla and Betis for around 6 million €.

maybe he should go to betis who is also in CL next season, because he would be another player to sit on the bench and pressure out solari and guti

Pablo Garcia would be a good signing, so we have another strong midfield substitute player to be used, with Guti leaving, its good to see there will be strong competition for places between Garcia and Solari.

Of course! Sign him! There's always enough room for one more in Bernabeu's bench!.....

Um, guys, we need more depth in our squad. Duh! Sign the man!

What for?? He will only play 5 minutes every 3 matches and if he's lucky he'll be starter in the Copa del Rey.....he's good, and he doesn't deserve to sit on a bench.

yea but i say sign him and park him on the bench, there isnt much of a chance he will complian, look at AC milan, and thier banch, they are full of great subs, on for each postion, that is what we need

I know what you mean but I still think is not fair to get a player from a team where he's playing, and playing good just to sit him on a bench....but if he still wants to come despite of the risks, go ahead and sign him.

Never know dude. He could turn out to work really well for Madrid.
We need to have players who can play well and fight for the spots, that's why big clubs do so well.... they've got players working hard to keep their spots.

Maybe you're right, maybe that's why sometimes the Galacticos don't put too much effort on the field.....

yea the bunch of lazy bums think that becuase the have a name their spots are secured,
And in addition to your post: this is the weakest post in Real squad, we have only one def mid so why he'll be always a sub? I don't know him well but he can fight with Gravesen for that point and this won't be bad neither for them both nor for the club :)
And you know Gravy doesn't want to take medicines so...it won't be bad to have a good replacement for his place

But he stays in the back...so unless you feel uber-comfortable putting Pavon and Samuel back there... :)

lol fair? Who cares about fair? It's called competition, and if you join one of the best teams in the world, you can expect to have little game time if you're behind a superior player.

Roberto Carlos: Garcia a great signing for Real Madrid
tribalfootball.com - June 8, 2005
Real Madrid wing-back Roberto Carlos welcomes reports stating Osasuna midfielder Pablo Garcia is set be the club's first summer signing.
Garcia is expected to sign for Real Madrid immediately after the Copa del Rey final and Roberto Carlos told AS: "If Real Madrid signs him it will be great as he is a very important player.
"For a team like ours, his arrival is perfect because he can fill a position where we have struggled. He plays with and without the ball and if he comes he will make Madrid stronger.
"Maybe Pablo Garcia isn't a star, but he will be very welcome at Real Madrid.
"He is a midfielder of the highest level. He is the perfect defensive midfield player.
"When I have faced him against Osasuna or Uruguay he has always been a very difficult opponent."

That's exactly what I meant! And I did say unfair, but it's unfair to the smaller teams....every and each good player they accomplish to raise is bought by a big team just to sit him on the bench.....
