Well this my Assessment of Palermo for this season:
They did very well throughtout the season, but coming down to the end they drew thier last 7 games. This resulting in them losing their chance for a Spot in the Champions League, However they will play in Europe thought as they came 6th which gives them a place in Uefa Cup next season.
This season was a tight race for them, and now being promoted and made such a high finish is a well deserved accomplishment, The team has a strong bond, and each player is able to read his teammates really good, Thier leading goal scorer Luca Toni, finished the season with a remarkable 20 goals, this also earned him a regular space on Italy's Team, but not always starting, lol
There were some tight spots for team in defence seein as Eugenio Corini finished the season with 11 yellow cards and 1 Red card, this may have put some strain but in the end they pulled through, so far no announcement has been made on any transfers in or out this summer, but Palermo would and should be bring in some new faces to compete in Euorpe next season, and maybe even go for the title. Lets hope next season they can produce the same and even better results, :alien:
