Alright...I'm fairly new to soccer, and I was just wondering what part of the shoe to kick with...people are telling me that kick with the laces...and some are telling me to kick with the toes...
What do I kick with?...If I use the upper part of my laces...my foot kinda locks and the ball doesn't go far...if I use my toes, the ball spins like crazy....
...so what part to I kick with?
kick it with side of the foot, say you are right footed you first plant your left foot next to the ball IN the direction you want to kick and follow through with your right (visa-versa) kicking with the side of the foot is similar with tilting the foot so the laces make contact, that is what you should aim to do. Never kick with your toes it's easy injury as any coach will tell you. hope that helps
edit: not the upper part of the laces, hold you foot sideways title it downwards so the laces near the toes will come in contact with it, the goal is basically near the top of your shoe, because laces are in different spots on every shoe
Any kicking technique can be beneficial in different situations. The side foot is good for passing or just slotting it in, the laces for a more powerful shot, and toe kicks, if you can properly do them (ie: control them), can work well in different situations too. (Not 100% sure if it was this game buutt...) Check out Ronaldinho's toe goal in the Chelsea v Barcelona Champion's League match (they lost 4-2 but it was a fabulous goal!).

Wow, you people need to get out and play some soccer instead of siting on your chairs and typing about how to kick a ball on the internet.
Even my little brother who plays U10 house league knows that kicking the ball in a certain way depends on then situation. And he knows this even though he wouln't understand the sentence.
Do you understand my point?

Wow so... why do we even have a soccer training tips forum? I guess when you're new and asking for tips on a soccer training tips forum is pretty stupid and unhelpful!
