Like it said we have much to do,We have 2 new editions in L.Choutos and G.Karagounis.They will definately lift the NT.We also got a new coach that has gotton us of to a good start in 2000:

Greece 4-1 Austria

Greece 2-0 Romania

Greece 1-0 Ireland

I see dramatic improvement for Greece!

Greece has a lot to make up for, missing out on Euro and facing a tough draw with Germany and England. Hopefully they can make 2nd position.

They play well against good teams and badly against the lower teams.

There have been some new names in the squad, and the new coach has put together a reasonable team that plays good football. Still we have to wait and see, when the real pressure is on. As for friendlies, well put it this way. If the World cup was based on friendlies, Greece would have won by a mile.

All we can do is wait and hope.

uh, I cannot remember anything, if I am wrong somebody please correct me, but I believe the Jersey was white with a green stripe in the middle.

That was Panathinaikos. They wear green and white. Olympiakos wear red and white. Aek wears black and gold.

And about Greece Yanni brought up a good point.We play good against harder teams,then when we play Latvia and Slovenia we **** up!?! I think it's the Greek mantality.We just don't see little teams as threats and the beat us.But when we play bigger teams our talent comes through.Like he said though we just have to wait and see!

PS This kid named Choutos,he is going to be one of the greatest strikers in Europe.He will definately help our NT out!

um... guys, the team that played against partizan during the bombings was AEK Athens. that was when we signed Tubacovic as our head coach, and we also got ciric and bjecovic, who were partizan kids. it was partially a greco-serbian "brotherhood" match, partially good AEK-Partizan relations, and partially a public relations move on the part of AEK front office.
