Greece in WC 2002?

Ok,what do u guys think of Greece's chances in WC 2002? Here is our group:

Germany
England
Greece
Finland
Albania

What do u think? I mean Germany is not even close to what they use to be,England has really been struggling in Qualifications,Finland have Litemanen and Albania is not good.And Greece always plays better against "Big" teams.What do u guys see happining?

I think you've got a chance. If I had to bet on it though, I wouldn't take Greece. But I'm not a good gambler :D

My predictions

You will tie germany in both games, they are really tough to beat , especially at home , and they have one of the most solid defenses around.

You will lose to England , although I wish you would beat them so much , but I have to be realistic and say that you're gonna lose against the English.

You can beat Finland, but it will also be tough, we all know that the Finnish are not a easy team to beat.

You will defeat the Shiptars, they are'nt a team, they are a bunch of farmers and crying people you see on TV.

Yeah I know,but were out of Euro and this is the nest thing.

This is what I predict:

Greece 1-1 Germany

Greece 1-2 Germany

Greece 1-0 England (there known for messing up bad at least one game)

Greece 1-3 England

Greece 2-1 Finland

Greece 0-0 Finland (Greece also plays really crappy at least one game)

Greece 2-1 Albania

Greece 3-0 Albania

That would be 14 pts.I don't know if it would be enough to advance but I think it's realistic.What do u think?

Well, if Greece really is in form I think they can win both games in Finland, and they dont screw up I think they might have 18 points or so, which I think will be more enough to qualify.

The key word here as Mihajlovic said is IF...IF Greece is in form. It all looks great on paper and the predicitons Chris made are realistic, the players have to stand up and prove themselves. If they have the right attitude they have a chance. If they have the attitude as in previous occasions expect them to get their butt kicked.

I saw the England - Ukraine game yesterday Chris, England were awsemome in the middle and defense. They took Ukraine to peices, up front they were good but not on fire. If they get confident and share the ball around, we have no chance against them. They have some young players like Gerard that are firing. They also have the height.

Thanks for your good wishes Mihajlovic, I hope for our sake we get the much needed results. Chris and I are optimistic and always have faith.

If Germany don`t fire, we can grab 2nd position. I am sure of it. We have to get points away from home.

I agree Yanni,

In the beginning,I saw Germany as the team to beat.But,now it's changing a bit.England are really comeing together.Germany is in the worst soccer form ever.I guess we will get a better picture of what will happen when they play each other in EURO.

They played Romania and won 2-0!

But that was a while ago....

Anyway Germany just beat Spain 4-1!!! Spain was really out of form but germany look goood!

And our Coach V.Danil looks to be going for the draw in Germany on Sept 2. He's gonna play a 4-5-1 formation since Machlas is out. That means Lymberopoulos is gonna be the lone striker,but why doesn't he start Choutos!!! The kid is awsome! I hope we can hold them the first half then maybe Choutos can pair up with Lymberopoulos in the 2nd. I pray we play better Defense the we did against the swiss.

PS Why is Danil playing Ouzounidis>?!
