I know this marvelous stadium will host the CL final : AC Milan vs. Liverpool

I was wondering how much it cost to build this stadium, how much turkey spends on its stadiums annually, what is Turkey's economic status now regarding its Football federation?, how many people it holds...and why is it that many stadiums in turkey are named after ataturk? is it because of the strong jewish contingent in Turkey?

Not every stadium named after Ataturk but there is a lot of them. Also what has to do with Jewish ppl by putting Ataurk's name on the stadium. The reason why they name it after Ataturk is, he is the founder of Republic of Turkey and he is our first president. Every Turk consider him as their father. His last name(Ataturk) actually means "Father of Turks"...

- The Stadium is built to the highest required standards set by the International Olympic Committee and the sports federations such as IAAF, FIFA and UEFA. Also the UEFA Stadium and Security Committee had previously named the venue as a “Five-Star� stadium.

- The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) has given Istanbul Ataturk Olympic Stadium the honour of being appointed as a “First Class Athletics Stadium�.

- The stadium has integrated further facilities such as an auditorium for 300 people, two big meeting rooms, 8 classrooms, fitness rooms, a training and warm-up facility (known as the annex stadium) and large banquet halls to enhance the quality of life of local residents and, at the same time, to provide funding sources for the stadium. Furthermore the stadium will be also available for holding concerts, theatrical shows or open-air exhibitions, which will contribute to its extensive and long-term use.

They won't, they are very smart. People in Istanbul told me that they have a very good behaviour with all Turkish people. I remember after the Galatasaray-Liverpool I had read on a Liverpool website that they were very pleased of Turkey and Ali Sami Yen.

I think they got 20,000 each, the rest is for turkish fans.
But im not that sure.

you are right Fener_05 but there are 40.000 fans of Liverpool in istanbul now and 40.000 fans of milan.

Yeah it was 40000 to 40000...but they didnt fill the whole stadium for security reasons. There was 250 commercial flights, 40 private jets came to Istanbul for the game. They also set up a huge screen at Taksim Square for the fans that couldnt find a ticket because the tickets were sold in a very short time.

Also there was a lot of famous ppl from football world and presidents such as Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Italian & AC Milan President Silvio Berlusconi birlikte izledi. Also Maradona, Karl Heinz Rummenige, Platini, Beckanbauer, John Benjamin Toshack, Christoph Daum, Yildirim Demiroren, Fatih Terim, Anelka, Alex de Souza, Nobre and more.
