Who are some of the most overrated players in the world?

ANELKA... no good in my eyes, and I've heard that R. Madrid want to loan him out for 600 pounds per week.

anelka is a good player, he hasn't done anything for madrid and i can understand why people would say he is over rated but when he was with arsenal he was fantastic.

Yeah, he was great when he played for Arsenal, but maybe the pressure just ruined him when he went to Spain. He went a long time for Real without a goal, but I hope he catches on because he is a great player, but still overrated.

I agree with all of you. Anelka is a good player, but he isn't worth making a big deal about him. I, like Omar, think that maybe he would be doing better with Real Madrid without all the pressure that was being put on him.

I think that his transfer talks took longer than they should have, and they were very stupid.

Yeah, the whole story was not that important. There shouldn't be the biggest deal on an average player being transfered.

well he isn't just an average player. he was probubly the best striker in england last season as a 20 year old. but because of his attitude he has not become the best of friends with his team mates and it has hurt his game.

Yeah, you're right. I didn't really mean he's average, but I thought that a big deal like that shouldn't have been made. He is a good player.

Well, the talk in this topic of "Overrated Players" was only about Anelka. So, here are some different ones:

Cole
Del Piero

I totally agree on Beckham, I have no idea why the englishmen rate him so good, he has a good kick but i think he doesnt have any experience and totally lacks dribbling skills. Del Piero, well sometimes he is really bad but sometimes he is the most dangerous striker in the world. Anelka - Overrated , no other comments. Andy Cole is a good striker, nothing special but of course the English have to make a huge superstar out of him :) , and of course i think Pippo Inzaghi and Simone Inzaghi are terribly overrated.

actually most englishmen hate david beckham. and i have never met anyone who thinks cole is a major super star. before you make comments like that you should know what you are talking about.
