To be fair the U.S had little choice. If Germany had conquered all of Europe and Russia the U.S wouldn't have stood much chance on it's own against the Axis Alliance. Remember that Nazi Germany had strong ties with some South American Countries which would have made an excellent base of operations against the U.S. The Japanese war machine only failed because of the capitulation of Germany and even then it took a couple of Atomic Bombs to beat them into submission. The Alliance with Britain was The Unites States' only chance of survival as well as Britain's only chance.

Well, they did fight the naizs, but let's be honest America truly didn't want to intervene in the middle of the WW2 itself, only after they realized that the Germans got weaker after the assaults of the UUSR and UE countries. America was very weak then. The point is that u had a smart president that time - Rusvelt, who realized that starting the war immediately would lead to serious consequences. I do respect the intelligence of Your president, but please don't tell me that after the main assaults of EU and USSR that shaked the Germans, you fought equally and can be called the WINNERS. Sorry bud The US WAS basically a British miltary factory in the beginning of WWII! They did their part in keeping the allies armed! The US beat the Japanese back to their Home Island before they decided to nuke them! The reason WHY the US nuked Japan was because the estimates of Casulties on the both sides was in the MILLIONS within the first 48 hours of the invasion of the Japanese Home islands! Also afterward WHO rebuilt Japan, England, France, West Germany and Italy????

The US is NOT a bad nation! Yes the current admistration has made some RETARDED mistakes, the y destablised a stable Iraq, They failed to get Bin Ladin and eliminate the Taliban in Afganistan. Also just look at the mess in OIl, Home loans, and credit card markets! Bush IMO is a failure! Thank G-D he is done next year!

I do know they r not all the same, and I dont judge the entire american population cause of the president, I guess the problem in USA is that u r allowed to choose whether to vote or not. Im also no one to judge any american, but is just that sometimes they make u think on how can they be so close minded, and to somes thats just annoying.
