first of all welcome to the forum ...
nice choice of players you picked there...
I agree with you almost toally.. except that worns and Nowotny should not be picked any more, they are old and are not even starters for their clubs. Also, Thomas Hitzlsperger seems very promising. Tim Borowski and Thomas Badaric can also be considered if they show some good form.
But still there is more than a year left, and lots of things can happen in between, right now, its the confeds cup we should focus on more.

Sorry!
Indeed, I seem to have forgotten Hitze. He is very elegant on the ball and has quite a piledriver. He can be a very good alternative on the left. I tend to favour Kehl in front of Tim Borowski in the holding role and I'm more than eager in seeing Sebastian Deisler make the playmaker slot his own. I think Basti is the only one in Germany capable to lead the team from the number 10. Schweini and Poldi must be starters also. You need fresh blood, players that can inject pace in a game especially with Germany playing on home soil.

First of all I should tell you I'm from Romania and much to my dissapointment we can't follow Bundesliga here anymore. For one reason or another they seem to prefer the Premiership, la Liga or Serie A which have a better image coeficient around the world. (Don't ask me why? You can find players with comparative values in die Bundesliga too.) All I can see from Germany (week in, week out) are the goals from the top matches (in the Eurogoals show). Thus I can't follow the performances of each player and "my opinions" are only a second reading. (more cliches from the press than authentic thoughts) So, I think what I'm trying to find from you guys (you being Germans and me not...such a pity!) is a direct assesment of the state of German soccer.
For example, what can you tell me about Ricken (of late). I understand he's gathering form. Could he make himself eligible for the shortlist 2006? Metze...is he playing that bad for not being selected under Klinsmann? What about Kehl? He seems not to be an option anymore. Lauth will miss the game after his latest injury crisis...for how long? (a year ago I would have prefered him in the starting line-up and I think Germany would have valued his talents for Portugal 2004)
Thank you guys! Keep me posted!

Hi nebeltier, there's actually not that many germans here, matter of fact of the regular posters i think only nachi is from germany, the rest are pretty much like you and me, i'm from australia, though i have a german dad, if u think coverage of german football's bad in romania i gotta tell u it can't be worse than here in australia, over here only english football gets decent coverage. I have to be content getting tapes and magazines sent from relatives in germany and of course the internet is a blessing. Anyway hope you enjoy yourself here, always good to have another german supporter amongst us.

Thanks for the wellcome, Arminius!
Guys, can you tell me where can I find (on the internet) a website with the player rankings for the weekend action in the Buli?...apart from www.kicker.de. Or a fan site for the national team, but without a subscription fee (where can be found at least photos from the last match!).

Again, do you happen to know a website with downloadable action from Germany's current matches? Or with great German goals of the past?

another channel prefering serie a to bundesliga....
there is nothing that makes me angrier.
Ricken is a pariah. He is hardly in favour iwth any one.. wither at dortmund or in the NT. I doubt very much if he will be picked, as schweinsteiger is defiantely better at the moment. Also, ricken has tried out centre middle and left middle interchangably, just so that his chance of making t into NT increase. Last season Sammer was very upset about this, and hardly picked lars for any games. This season he is improving, but not yet NT level.
He is like the gascoigne of German football, extremely talented, but underperforming. I love him for his first touch chip goal in CL final against Juve, when we burried the 'old lady' :)
do you speak German?? take part in the bundesliga predictions.. and you too arminius.
