The Serie A prediction league has begun. We will keep track of the round that Juve Fan began in the Italian Leagues and Cups forum. Here are the rules:

1. 10 points will be awarded for an exactly right score (you predict Lazio to win 2-0 over Torino, and this happens)

2. 5 points will be awarded for predicitng the outcome (score doesn't matter - for example, you predict Juventus to beat Verona 3-0 and they win 1-0)

3. 2 points will be deducted for a wrong outcome (for example, you say an Milan win, and they lose or draw)

4. Changes are accepted only if they are posted before the match begins. If we see an "Edited by" after a match begins, you will be automatically disqualified for that round, and you will be deducted 15 points from your overall score

5. If you wish, you don't have to predict for every match. This can be good if you don't think you can get it, or you think you will still have the most total points, or it can be bad because you will have less chances at points

6. There will be a winner every week and an overall winner at the end of the season. Next season, we will have an overall winner each month, but as the season is winding down, we can't do this now. The prize is a line of your choice to be written under your username in each of your posts

Enjoy this new feature to World Soccer Board! :)

Oh, and one more thing:

This new feature is only in the Italian Soccer section, but if it is a success, it will be added to more sections.

And thanks a lot to Juve fan for the great idea!

Thanks, and good luck to all of you participating! :)

Good good.. You are welcome guys, now it is more official and exciting :)

Looking forward to the first round but I have one advice.. You better start thinking from now how you are going to calculate the final scores in the future.. Currently its easy to do manually because we got only 7 people predicting but when next season starts and you hopefully get 90 people predicting I dont think you will be able to manage it manually unless you divide the tasks between you.. so ?

Yeah, this season, we can take care of it. However, next year, we may need some help, or everybody can be honest and calculate their own score. We've been thinking about this very hard.
