Anybody Following the NCAA Men's College Basketball Tournament?

For those of you who are not aware of March Madness, the top college (university) basketball teams in the United States battle for the National Title in a knockout tournament similar to the FA Cup. Many Americans "fill out brackets" before the tournament begins–predictions of how they think the tourney will result itself. They then place bets on their "brackets." The tourney starts with 64 teams, but now we are down to the last 8. My favorite team of the tourney, Michigan State University, just beat Duke University in a thrilling victory that sent them into the last eight. If they win their next match, they will move on to what is called the "Final Four."

Yea I've been watching a few of the games. Damn, Wisconsin got knocked out today by North Carolina. I am really sick of these 'experts' saying how over rated Wisconsin is. They give them no credit at all. During today's game the announcers would go crazy when that Way guy would do anything, but they wouldn't say anything when Wilkenson or Tucker would do anything. You could tell that one announcer was obviously bias towards NC. It made me so mad.

I know what you mean. The "pundits" like the bigger, more established schools like North Carolina and Duke.

I'm glad Michigan State won today. Who knows, in a few years, I may be going to school there–that is if I keep my grades up here at the old community college!

Yea I was glad to see Michigan State win too. Maybe the Big 10 will finally start getting some respect since 2 of the 4 teams in the Final Four are in that conference. That would be awesome if it was Illinois vs MI State in the Championship! I think that Wisconsin would be in the position Illinois is in (or at least close to it) if Devon Harris would have stayed in Wisconsin instead of going to the NBA.

Man you all know that North Carolina is gonna whoop Michigan States ass? they desurve some credit though they did beat duke and kentucky, but they stand no chance against north carolina. may is gonna dominate the inside game and destroty MSU! :silly:

i cannot believe Illinois pulled through in their last game, ive always been a fan of them (my home state), but i thought it was over. There was prolly 4 minutes left in 4th quarter and they were down by 13, so i went to take a shower. I come out, and i see illinois running onto the center of the court, and i was in shock. I have them going all the way in my bracket though, them vs. Wake forrest in final 4 (wake forrest lost way early), and NCU vs. i think Duke?? so im hoping ncu and illini go to the ship and illinopis wins

Being a student at Georgia Tech, I was sad to see them lose but I picked UNC to beat Illinois in the finals in my bracket.

I really really like Louisville's chances though. Those boys are tough .

BALL STOLEN! Williams fouls with 25.8 seconds... guy shoulda used a bounce pass tsk tsk tsk. FIRST FREETHROW MISSED! Father isn't happy. Makes the second. Illinois down three with 25.8 to go! Commercial.

2 misses for Illinois. UNC gets the rebound! Guy at the line with 9.9. MAKES THE FIRST. Looks like UNC is gonna win... MAKES THE SECOND! UNC UP 5 WITH 9.9 left. Illinois is screwed! Damn it another commericial!

Three pointer on the way but no good. May rebounds. Time runs out. UNC wins! Roy Williams and UNC are the new National Champs!

'm glad UNC won... now I finished second in my pool and may win some money. ;)

However, I didn't think it was that great of a game. There were quite a few more interesting games throughout the tourney. Oh well... there's always next year.
