Well i usually play at the local park with my friends but my best tennis is against my dad when we go to aruba and other places. I could say im intermediate because i started playing last year. well, i just bought a new racket. The prince Flame IT OS. It replaced my old Wilson impact. The bets tip i have is to just keep practiseing.

I play at a local sports centre, with my brother. I would say I am a beginner as I started playing last year. My brother gave me a Yonex RQTI Power racket, to replace my battered Wilson which was about 10 years old :) . Obviously using a coach will improve your game, but in most countries this is expensive. I would recommend finding a good tennis book, which will improve your technique.

I started when i was 16. Most of the tennis players at the club started at around 6-10 yrs old so the coaches won't teach me the basics..
Yes,Federer dominates the men's tennis but he's been beaten by safin in the aussie open.I guess he'll have to wait next year to do the "grand slam".Concerning the woman's tennis..Maria sharapova is the "it" girl at the moment :) damnn, she's smokin.....

haha, tips from a beginner :D
I play at a high club level, the highest club level for juniors and 3rd highest for seniors. I am no pro but i am quite good for my age. I use Head iprestiges.
The way to get better is watch the pros, books are quite useless IMO.

I play tennis everyonce in a while. My wife and I really enjoy it. I have some cheap-no-name heavy racquet; my wife uses one from Head (not sure which one).
She started playing when she was in High School and ended up playing varsity - so having to start at a young age isn't really all that necessary.
You should be able to enjoy tennis without haveing to be the best - someone out there is always better anyway.

I play tennis, I'm okay, was on varsity last year. I have a head radical the one that agassi has. Some tips would be to keep practicing if you want to be good....practice forhands, backhands, serves and volleys.

Did you guys know that Andre Agassi is Iranian(Persian) but his family moved to the USA to give him a better life.
And what a life he made for himself.

FYI, today is Martina Hingis' B-Day
30 September 1980
Martina always enjoyed sport and began skiing and playing Tennis at the age of 3. By the time she was 5, tennis had become part of her life and she started to enter tournaments under her Mothers coaching (Melanie, her mother, is herself a former tennis champion and named her daughter after the legendary Martina Navratilova).
At 7 years old Martina moved to Switzerland with her mother, who married a swiss computer scientist, Andreas Zogg.
At 12 years of age, Martina won her first junior Grand Slam event at the French Open during 1993. She made her debut on the WTA rankings at position 399 during March 1994, and broke into the top 20 on June 12, 1995, only 15 months later.
History was made in England on Monday, July 8th, 1996 as Martina became the youngest person ever to win a Championship event at Wimbledon (the Ladies Doubles). Martina was just 3 days younger than Lottie Dod who won the Singles in 1887. Fantastic!
Since this historic victory, everything went quickly; Martina played the semi final of the US Open against Steffi Graf and won her first WTA Tour event at Filderstadt. The 1997 year was the consecration for the young Swiss star; she won 3 of the 4 Grand Slam events (only loosing in the final of the French Open) and became the youngest-ever world number one (at 16 years and 182 days).
Not only a gifted player, Martina is also a nice person very appreciated on the tour, and far from being dumb as she fluently speaks 4 languages (Czech, Swiss-German, English and some French).
But tennis isn't everything in Martina's life. Like a girl of her age, she enjoys shopping and flirting with boys. Other sports she likes are skiing, rollerblading, soccer, basketball, swimming and especially horseback riding (she owns 3 horses named Montana, Sorrenta and Velvet).
