Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o has launched a scathing attack on Chelsea, Blues coach Jose Mourinho and referee Pierluigi Collina following his side's Champions League elimination at Stamford Bridge.

Barca's European dream came to an end on a thrilling night in London where Chelsea recorded a 4-2 victory in the second leg to progress through to the quarter-finals 5-4 on aggregate.

However, the match was not without controversy and Eto'o has been quick to voice his displeasure at some of the incidents and decisions he felt went against his side.

The Cameroon international also believes that it would be a travesty for the game if Chelsea were to go on and lift the Champions League trophy.

"We were the only team that wanted to play football. Chelsea going through is a disaster for football," he told the Barcelona-based newspaper El Mundo Deportivo.

"And if this team wins the Champions League, it would make you want to retire.

"With so much money and so many players, what they do is not football," added Eto'o, who also took a sideswipe at the Chelsea coach.

"Mourinho is shameless, at the end they followed his game, did what he wanted, although this time I suppose he will have appeared in the press conference," Eto'o said, referring to the Portuguese coach's non-appearance at the media gathering following the first leg at the Nou Camp.

Eto'o, who has made claims in the Spanish press that he was called a monkey by a Stamford Bridge security guard following the match, also hit out at Italian official Collina.

The former Real Mallorca striker feels Collina, regarded by many as the finest referee in the world, should have disallowed John Terry's winning goal because of a foul on goalkeeper Victor Valdes by Blues defender Ricardo Carvalho.

"Collina helped Chelsea, he denied me a clear penalty and in the fourth goal they fouled Victor Valdes, but those things happen," he said.

Barcelona captain Carles Puyol and Brazilian playmaker Ronaldinho were also bitterly upset that Terry's goal was allowed to stand.

Ronaldinho, who scored both of Barca's goals in the second leg, said: "When the linesman doesn't run directly to the halfway line (after a goal has been scored), it's because something has happened. I saw the tug on Victor Valdes, we all saw it and the linesman too."

Puyol said: "I saw the assistant stop after the fourth goal, and after we went to speak to him, that is when he ran to the halfway line."

Nevertheless, it is Chelsea and Mourinho who are progressing, and Puyol admits it is because Barcelona did not defend well.

"Being knocked out is a blow and a disappointment because we didn't expect to be out of the Champions League," he said.

"We knew they could surprise us with quick breaks but we couldn't stop them."

HAHAHAHA, wot a joke Mr Eto'o the fact is stop moaning about Chelsea being negative and realise that Barcelona were defensively very poor and Chelsea picked them up at will, then luckily for you guys eased up to stop it being too embarrassing.

As to Eto'o pathetic claims for a penalty, IN FOOTBALL MR ETO'O WHAT WAS DONE TO YOU IS CALLED A ... WAIT FOR IT..."A TACKLE..." I have seen the replay many times it was no foul it was a great saving tackle by the defender.

ONLY ONE SIDE WANTED TO WIN, THEN COUNT YOURSELVES LUCKY THAT CHELSEA DID NOT WANT TO WIN THINK THEY ONLY SCORED 4 GOALS WITHOUT WANTING TO WIN, HOW MANY WOULD THEY HAVE SCORED IF THEY DID WANT TO WIN? :smoking:

GROW UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE Mr ETO'O

Dude, if you gonna continue this type of posting I am gonna have to report you. I would not talk when you are behind us.

And Chelsea deserves to go on. Those 3 goals in not even 20 minutes? As much as I do not like Mourinho and Chelsea, they deserve to go on.

Stop making excuses about the referee, afterall you had anders frisk helping you at camp nou, i believe he resigned cos he knows something will come out of chelsea's claim that rijkaard was talking 2 me in his room. reckon the conversation went something like this. RIJKAARD "we need you to referee at your usual bad standard we need a some penalties.... did you get your spanich euros?" FRISK " Yes thánks Mr Rijkaard, I will tell you wot, I will not book any Barcá players for diving, how about if I send off one of Cheless of their players for you?2

RIJKAARD: "That will be nice, thanx Mr Frisk, by the way love your tan and hiardo looking good andy baby"
