Actually, now I'm kind of afraid of Lithuania. And we still have to settle the score with Italians from last year.

Ivan, Litva ain't so good. They just outsmarted the stupid kids from USA and their stupid coach.

What I saw in these two games was that Italy started against USA at "full power". That have Americans the motive and, despite that Italy was a perfect match, Americans won this game on fitness (12 players of equal quality). When Americans broke for 10 points, Italy was tired and with no motive left. Whereas Litva outsmarted the Americans and entered the game "easy", having a face like "We won't try too much, we know you're way better than us..." http://www.worldsoccerboard.com/ubb/wink.gif So, Americans weren't pissed off and didn't try so hard, thus leaving Litva players in good shape for the 2nd half. Suddenly, after 5 minutes in 2nd half, Americans realized that Litva enforced their play (slow, no running mad) on them, which had beaten their morale so bad they couldn't lift the pace. They got nervous and made lots of mistakes, while Litva was playing smart, 30s attack, assists game... Too bad that Litva itself couldn't find that calmness to finish the job at the end. I think Americans would crack if there was 2 points only 50 seconds to go.

So sad.

Yea, and if I had been taking all kinds of vitamins, proteins, stimulants, (steroids), since age 14 for 6 or 7 years, I too would be dunking with half my hand in the basket. Come on, I'm not saying he wouldn't have been good if he didn't take anything, but you don't get like he gets by relying on 'mother nature' to take its course.

And now, here are my keys to beating the Dream Team

Slow the pace down - Make them play at your tempo. Don't come out firing with all you have, cuz you will be out of breath in 10 minutes, and that's when Dream Team's subs will come in and bury you. Slow the game down, to where you can conserve your energy for later part of the game. Also, don't let them get fast breaks and easy dunks. They feed off of that. Foul before they manage to get a fast break.

Basics - don't forget what you are thought when you first start playing basketball. The simpliest part of the game are free throws - got to make them all!

Don't give up - It's important not to get discouraged if you find yourself in a midst of a negative 10 or 15 pt run. Even if you are down 20 midway through 2nd half, just play normal and try to slowly chop the lead little by little. If you start shooting wild threes and trying to do too much, it will get ugly on your account.

those people who tested positive for drugs, were not taking steroids. they were tested positive for smoking weed and shit like that. and taking drugs has nothing to do with players getting bigger. you have to remember that in america they have the best equipment, the best trainers, the best facilities and the best technology. and you have to remember that playing basketball is all these people do, so when the season is done all they do is lift weights and train while other countries players have to have other jobs to support there families. just because they are phisically superior to other countries players (strengh wise) does not mean they are on drugs. and just because the nba doesn't test player does not mean that teams don't test there players. i know that the nca or whatever the college league is test's there players, and those guys are just as big as nba players.

gb - I never said that they took steroids. But majority of NBA players take stuff that is legal in NBA, might not be neccessarily legal by the IOC, and the European basketball players don't take it.

i hate to say this but has anyone ever heard of weights i dont know about europe but here weight training in a HUGE PART I MEAN HUGE PART of the players training i am in high school and we lift wieghts twice a week as a part of our weekly training and that is minimal most pros spend numerous hours in the weight room in all sports i mean even the girls at my school are on some sort of weight training but i wont say that supplements are used here and i know they are used in europe hell i subscribe to like 3 or 4 soccer magazines that are from europe and each has 3-4 pages advertising supplements

They have no respect for others they just feel like are the main powers thinking that all the other cultures are worthless. I strongly think that they let him run knowing that he had used banned substaces.

You can lift weights each day for 8 hours but if your body chemistry and anatomy isn't made in a certain way you may never get big. Muscle suplements are a much bigger part of American sports then of European.
