At the moment I have to go with Ittihad of Saudi Arabia, they play like brazil! no seriously they do. Very entertaining. It could be because they have a few brazilian and many african players in their team, most of saudi arabia's national team plays there too.
In the past I have to say the greatest Asian Club of all time is Esteghlal F.C of Iran formerly knows as Taj meaning the crown before the Iranian revolution was the best Asian team of all time. Becoming champions of Asia twice, something that only 2 other teams have done(I believe swon of S.korea and al-ahli of saudi arabia) but Esteghlal has also gotten the prize for runner ups and 3rd places quite often making them the team that made the final 4 the most. Jublia Iwata of Japan is another great asian team. Swan of Korea, Jublia of Japan, and Ahli of Saudi together with Esteghlal of Iran are the best Asian clubs in history IMO, and at the moment like I said Ittihad of Saudi Arabia plays the best but they still have to prove that they can be considered legendary like the other teams in the future by winning more championships.

They are like Real Madrid of Asia.... THey should do well...!!

Ya, but let's think this.
Actually Korea & Japan soccer club teams were not interested in
Asian championship.
So you have to know, many Korean club didn't participate this championship.
This championship is interested in only west asian clubs.
If Korea & Japan clubs participated earlier than them,
I'm sure they've got more good performance.

To nnn400,
Yes my bad I accidently typed alahli instead of Al-hilal. I guess I'v been watching too many Al-ahli games lately because of Karimi :p
Al-Hilal is without a doubt one of the greatest asian clubs of all time. They have won the cup twice and came close to winning it a few more times. I don't know about 7 but I wouldn't mind seeing you explain this :)
so be my guest :D

nnn400, you are also adding asian winners cup and super cup thats why you have 6. I was only talking about the champions league which al-hilal has won only 2 times. You know like how UEFA has Champions league and Uefa cup and winner's cup? Asia is the same but I was only talking about the championsleague verion cause for example 2 of the cups you mentioned al-hilal won was only 1 game! in super winner's cup. So they only won 1 game and got cups :) I don't think it's fair to count that, it's like contetintional cups that Iran won against New Zeland or Japan against African champion stuff like that. Anyways no doubt Al-Hilal is one of the best ALL TIME clubs in asia. But they don't seem to be that good these days, Ittihad has been the best club in Saudi Arabia, how are they doing in the league these days?

what ever you call that championships
of course i know that they are not all champions league.
but could you give me any asian team won even 4 different asian cups.
sure you can't :)
any way, Al Ittihad now is the best saudi team
but Alhilal is in the first place now in the saudi league
just for your information
honestly i am not following the saudi league any more
because the saudi soccer is not that what i used to know
:( :( :( :( :(
i didn't even watched the national team matches during the last asian cup

I think Saudi Arabia is back on the right track, an away draw in Uzbekistan is a great result. Personally I believe they can make it to 06 and a win against Korea in their next match would be a huge step.

I never said that it meant that :o I only said it was a great result. I predicted that they can make it and I believe they can but I didn't base that on this result only it's just a prediction, Uzbekistan has as much chance as the Saudies and Koreans and Kuwaities as that matter. 3 teams can make it (the 3rd place off course will have to play a few extra games) and I think those 3 will be Uzbekistan Korea and Saudi as I think Kuwait is the weakest of the bunch, then again they shouldn't be understimated. However it is tough to call which 2 will finish top. Which 2 do you guys think will finish top and do you think the 3rd place team in this group will be able to beat the 3rd place team in the other group and then the concacaf team? I think beating the 3rd place team in the other group(most likely bahrain) will be tougher than beating say panama.

Korean side Suwon should be the best Asian club rightnow,
I've never seen west asian leagues cause In China they don't broadcast them,But CCTV had shown J-league before and Star Sports had shown K-League years ago In my memory,so C-league,J-league and K-league are the only three Asian Leagues I had or could see so I don't know western teams well
