hey guys. i have been playing center back for the last couple of years but this year i'm goin to center mid or a defenseve mid position. so i want a little help. i am a number 10 and this season i'm gonna play like it. i wanna be an unbelievable passer, quick dribbler, setter uper, playmaker, and the go to guy who will do somethin with it. so does anyone have any good tips for playin this position. i want to play this season like Zidane, obviously not the same skill, but the same way. also if i were to set some goals for this season does anyone have any tips. i want goals that motivate me but not put too much pressure on me. could anyone give me any examples, cause i know goals are extremely important for succes. please help thanks!

I was moved from defensive mid to agressive mid this past season, and nothing when playing Defencive mid was more important than having a good long pass. Another HUGE goal you want is to excell in winning 50/50 balls out of the air. You don't need to have amazing skills liek Zidine to be a good mid, you just need to be a quick thinker. You can go anywhere witht he ball, and pass it to anyone you want, you need to decide where the best place to put the ball would be. You definitly want to have good endurance, you're going to be running themost as a mid to begin with, and playing center mid makes it evan more running. You always want to make sure that you're within helping distance of anyone who has the ball on your team, you pretty much want to be in the same area as the ball at all times. Mids need to be able to recover quickly if they get beat by an opponent, and help one of their defenders who are patiently containing one of the opposing forwards.

Once you play the position, You'll settle right into it, it will be a really fun position to play, just try your best to make good decisions out on the field, you'll be all set.

the more important thing for DM is cutting balls more than assist goals, this rule don`t need to be a very fast dribbler and playmaker, In this rule you should focus on how you can excepect the oponont`s passes and how can possibly to stop the counter attacks, caus ethis is the main jop for DM, cutting a ball in a midle of an attack and then creat a counter attack for your team.
good luck.

If you wanna be a playmaker, then you'd probably rather be an agressive mid, not defensive. All you need to do to set up plays as a defensive mid, is be able to slot the ball with good accuracy, make it so you can give the wingers good balls to go to corner with. Three's nothing else that commes to mind. Just make sure you know where your forwards are, and when ever the oppertunity comes to change feilds, do it.
