You really just gotta set up some sort of a target, and try to get the ball to the target. What they had us do for passes on the ground, was try to pass the ball along the gound to a friend who was standing about 15 yards away from you. If you don't have a friend to practice this with, then you can always set up liek 2 cones liek 4 feet apart, and try to pass it through the cones. You shoudl try this drill whaile standing still, and also whaile on the run.
For long balls, you might want to set up a square that you want the ball to land in, the square shoudl be a pretty good sized one, I'd start with a square that is about 15 feet by 15 feet, stand about 25 yards away from it, and try to loft the ball into the center. You want to try this stationary, and on the run also. Aswell as try to hit it inside the square from different distances and angles. After you get good with the 15 by 15 square, reduce the size to a 12 by 12, or 10 by 10.

For short passes just use the inside of your foot right in the middle and kick the ball in about the middle.
