Unreliable forwards? once again a ***king stupid comment....players never perform as well as they do for their country as they do for their club..u seriously cant expect milosevic or jestrovic to be scoring goals EVERY game..i know its their job but if they dont score for a few games u cant say they r shit..the midfielders have to put in aswell..have faith in them and they will put in when its most needed which will hopefully be against spain
and what is ur obsession with vukcevic..he wont make the starting line up..what about ilic? dragutinovic, koroman or vukic? and id rather have vitakic instead of cirkovic..possibly even markovic..

Did u even see the game vs Bulgaria, Vukcevic played for 70 mins, and he had a very powerful freekick blocked by the Bulgarian goalie. He played quite well, and i think he is going to make the starting line up.
And i have alot of faith in our midfielder, its our forwards which i do not trust.
Gone are the days when Mijatovic, Milosevic Savicevic dominated.

id love to c koroman

yea koromon should also play, depending on what kind of tactical formation they are going to use. I think if they put 1 Forward, and 5 midfields than he is going to play.
Thats what they did vs Belgium and it payed off.

have u guys noticed that some our players are physical very big(upper body wise) compared to the average soccer player.
Dragutinovic, Stankovic, Jestrovic, Vidic
Do u think that is a disadvatage because it might slow them down, or an advantage, becuase they will be tougher tacklers.

Yeah I did:D In the match between Bulgaria and Serbia:D Your players are defenetly very tall!I can't say that its an advantage, but its not a disadvantage either! In the set-pieces, if u work on them more, u will defenetly be unbeatable!During the match though, I don't think its an advantage because your players are not that fast as they could be!But I don't think that could be a major problem, as u could compensate that with Stankovic in the middle as he is a major figure in Inter and in your NT!

Guys,
You all wary too much, let Petkovic do his work, as a coach; he knows who the great players are and what needs to be done to get 100% from them, that is just one part of his job. Yes, we have more then enough great players for every position on the NT, young, strong, talented players that need some minor molding to get them to believe in their abilities, raise their confidence level which will yield the results we are all looking for. I love the predicament that our NT is in, for the first time in the history of the NT we have 12 or so strikers that would start on any other NT. What other national team coach would not like to have quality strikers on his bench. The same can be said for the defensive positions. In the midfield we are not as fortunate but I think we have players that could deliver in critical games like the one that is coming up…bottom line it is a win-win situation for our NT, it is just getting better every day. The way I see it Petkovic can change 5 players and not change the chemistry of our NT, and that is what he is trying to do find the right players for the foundation of the NT, the rest he will change depending on our competition.
A tie would be a win for SCG…but I prefer a win, with an exclamation mark.

HEHE ive never really thought of other countries wanting that many strikers, ive always though every country had as many strikers, wow i have been enlightened lol.
LoL, a win with an exclamation mark, would probably do it we would probably qualify 1rst in the group than.

Well that just goes to show how much you know about football. Do you really think that other countries have that many talented world class strikers playing at the same time? Well maybe only Brazil, but what European country has that many talented strikers playing right now, since you seem to be enlightened? Why is it that there are so many of SCG strikers playing for foreign clubs?
Win with an exclamation point is a wining by six to zero, just like Netherlands did when they played YU back in EU2000. Yes wining against Spain with 3 goal difference would have us sitting in the first place comfortably, but a win by six goal difference would be even better our possible opponents would mentally be devastated.

Emotional what the f are you talking about? I am totally relaxed, taking it easy is an understatement, I am not the one that worrying about the NT losing or wining, if they win fine if they lose it just a game…Petkovic is responsible for making sure that does not happen. The important point is how you play the game or that you put 100% effort entire 90 minutes of the game…that is the difference between wining and losing. Now do you have any more sarcasm?

I rarely disagree with lopuza but there are european teams with lots of great strikers...
netherlands...RVN, roy makaay, kluivert, van hooidonk, even robben could be considered a forward.
italy...vieri, montella, toni, del piero, cassano, di vaio
england...owen, rooney, wright-phillips, jermaine defoe, vassell
france...trezeguet, henry, saha, wiltord

There is nothing wrong with you disagreeing wit me, we are all different people with different views and beliefs that is what makes us unique as people. I actually appreciate when people point out my errand ways…helps me grow as a person.
Sure there are European NT’s with lots of great players, the difference being is that they are not effective as a team…because each wants to be the top dog and that takes away from team play. This can easily be seen in Basketball, the US has the best players but they are not effective as a team.
Did any of these NT’s play with all these midfielders/strikers effectively lately?
You are right many countries have great midfielders that could score just like strikers, fortunately for us they are not effective lately, especially Spain’s strikers and midfielders.
Ever since Savicevic retired I do not see any one of our strikers dominating every possession of the ball…but that is the case in every other NT at the moment for what ever reason.

i have to agree...both raul and morientes are out of form. it was been a long time since raul has looked like a great forward. spain are ripe for the taking and i like our odds.
