EXOTIC DANCER http://www.worldsoccerboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.worldsoccerboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.worldsoccerboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif THE CHIX LOVE IT AND IT PAYS PRETTY GOOD MY FRIEND !!!!
Yo, Delija, write down some things about US educational system, involving age, choices, rankings, money vs. free stuff, levels, etc...
I'd really like to know that.

Well, I tell you one thing not to think about - an English teacher http://www.worldsoccerboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.worldsoccerboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.worldsoccerboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
The best jobs right now are undoubtedly in the computer field. Computer engineering, programming, system administrators, etc... Pretty much you can get a job anywhere if you have software knowledge/degree. Also a degree in Management will pay you well.
Professions such as Accountant, Lawyer, or Doctor can all pay very well, but you got to work your ass off to get to that point. And since you are a Srbin, and a Delija - I doubt you are willing to put up such a sacrifice http://www.worldsoccerboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.worldsoccerboard.com/ubb/wink.gif
Where do you plan on going to college?

Certainly Computer Engineering.. If you are ready to sacrifice 4 years of your life (By not having a life during the 4 years http://www.worldsoccerboard.com/ubb/wink.gif ) and just thinking about Differential equations, Calculus, Dynamics, circuit analysis e.t.c then you will really get rewarded.. Or at least thats what they tell us. Anyways I will firgure out very soon.. I think its true coz I have friends who already directly after graduation worked for Nasa, Microsoft, IBM, 3M, Nortel, and Electronic Arts...
Thats your best bet..

Computers are okay, if you want to dedicate your life to such a thing. I couldn't stand to deal with computers that much.
Personally I'd push you towards Business. If you get into management, at least you can say that you really make an impact. Anybody can be a computer engineer, they just have to learn it, but not anybody can be a C.E.O. of a company, you either have it or you don't. So if you "have it" I say go for it. Not only is the money great, but you have new challenges everyday.
IT depends on how ambitious you are.

But its risky, plus boring...
I mean as you said anyone can be an Engineer coz you just have to learn, this is partially correct because thats the most difficult thing about it.. Anyways being an Engineer is much more exciting than being a CEO.. Besides what if he doesnt like what he is studying ?? And also not all people studying Business will be C.E.Os...
Delija you must know the ads and disads and then start comparing..

You are right Juve Fan, you have to like what you're studying. For me am I'm an economic advisor, but working towards more of a general managers position.
For me I like to be the guy to make the decisions, I like to have the weight of the world on my shoulders. If I mess up oh well, everybody does. I like the responsibility and to me it's not boring at all, actually exciting and it makes me feel like I leave my mark on things.

Perhaps more importantly, what do YOU want to do? My degree (BA: English) has nothing to do with my profession. I started going towards a career in technical writing. As I started my second to last quarter, I realized I was heading somewhere I did not want to be. I made some changes, finished my degree of course, and I am very happy, though I make a whole lot less than I would have. I am happy with my career, and that is the imporatant issue.
Basically all you guys just backed me up and expanded on what I said first http://www.worldsoccerboard.com/ubb/smile.gif
By the way, a career in computers does not have to be boring at all! Also, like I said, consider combining for example computers and management. Management Information Systems is a hot major right now among college students. And remember, CIO's (Chief Information Officers) get a hefty paycheck too!
