Oceania WC qualifying

With 32 teams qualifying for the world cup, I think Oceania should get one automatically. Why should they have to play in a play off with an Asian team to qualify.

The world cup is not only about who the good teams are. If that were true you'd have 26 European teams and 6 South American teams! The world cup is about a celebration of football that brings the whole world into it. Hopefully they change it soon.

Yes, it used to be Asia, but now they've changed it to I think...The 6th placed team in Sth America...That could be someone like Columbia...So it's a bit unfair...I think they should let the top Oceania team...But what can I do? ;)

if they let the top oceanic country go through automatically australia would make it all the time. wouldn't really be fair to all the other countries in europe and SA that have to battle against the likes of holland, italy, brazil, agrentina etc to qualify.

austraila would have the easiest qualifying run out of everyone and WC's would become just a novelty event for them. i think it's fair enough they have to play the asian runner-up or SA runner-up, wheres the competition in smashing tonga and american samoa ??

WC spots should be earned the hard way and austraila should do it tough just like everyone else.

we shouldnt be made to qualify in a cut-throat cup type match, it aint fair we dont get to play enough internationals

we should be slapped into the asian zone at least that way we play some reasonable teams regularly and if we cant get through then so be it, at least its fair
