mateja kezman started in the FA cup game v.s birmingham today. he didnt seem to do much this game, or get the golden chances he normaly gets in games, and the players that he was with didn't do much either. what do you think about the game, and kezmans perfornace? and witch players on chelsea do you think do well with kezman? i think chelsea should have played with 2 strikers this game, kezman on the right and drogbar on the left that would have been a good match up of players.
the FA Cup draw for the fifth round is this monday, who yould you like to see chelsea play?

Well, gentleman I got a feeling that Kezman will start next game for Chelsea, this will be his chance to show what he has to offer, I think he can easily retain his form from PSV.

OMG i offically hate Kezman, and i would like him off the national team.
I just finished watchin the game vs Bulgaria, and he missed the easiest goal possible, even my baba could of scored.
He was right in front of the net all by himself, and the Bulgarian goalie was on the ground infront of him. All he had to do was tip it over the goalie, but NOOOOOOO!!!! he blasts it over the net.

There is no way he is better than Stankovic.
im sick of him, his performance is getting worse and worse for the national team. At least before he had PSV goal's to back him up when ppl put him down, but now he has nothing

You're right...It's getting harder and harder to defend him as a world class striker.

I would like to keep Kezman, as a sub that comes on at like the 70 min, but not as a replacement if savo or nenad if they get injured. Because he has amazing speed, and that is the perfect time, to exploit it when the opposition defenders are tired.
Maybe he can at least pick up the a "super sub" tittle for the national team at least than he would not be so useless.

no way i disagree. what a waste of a talent. i mean we all know he can score he just needs to find his touch again. u gotta give him a break it been hard not playing much at chelsea, and then wne he actually get a chance to play, the pressure is huge on him to score. i dont think we should use him as a 70th minute sub thats not right. i like the way hes being used now. around 55th 60th minute.

yea that is pretty good, but i think he has lots of chances to prove him self in the national team and yet he still cant make it.
BTW did u see the game vs Bulgaria marko, if u do u would of hated him too.

im dissapointed in ppl always putting kezman down, he has made mistakes, and his play is dissapointing as of late, but there is no reason to say that you hate him partizanbeograd, im sure you hated him when he was top scorer for partizan and im sure you hated him when he was top scorer for psv two years running... kezman is a great player, i just think that this hole chelsea thing has put some sort of curse on kezman, and he is trying to shake it off. i would like to see kezman out of chelsea by this summer, i want to see him play for a club that will care about him and let him prosper, and play and show that once again he is a world class player.

Obviously you don't hate the guy for missing a chance. But, if we are gonna walk around talking like kezman is on the same level as shevy, henry, RVN, then he needs to start producing like them. and the fact is he hasn't. you can make up whatever excuses you want, i know it hasn't been easy for him. but he hasn't gotten it done. I am not saying hes not talented but he needs to step up.

Chelsea moved eight points clear at the top of the Premiership with a game in hand over second placed Manchester United thanks to goals by Joe Cole, Mateja Kezman and Ricardo Carvalho.
But for the first time in 11 League games a goal was conceded.
Norwich started enthusiastically, won an early corner, Huckerby off Carvalho, and then Graham Stuart tricked his way round Makelele in the box and provided a dangerous cross which Johnson headed away with authority.
But Duff should have put Chelsea ahead in the eighth minute when he raced away from Lampard’s pass after Stuart had given the ball away in midfield, and he brilliantly chipped the advancing Green, but young central defender Shackell sprinted back to head away.
Chelsea settled early into the possessive strangling style of attacking which has done for so many teams recently, Everton and Liverpool most significantly in the last month, and the frustrated and concerned Norwich suffered a booking when Drury crashed into Tiago as he and Duff weaved patterns up the right.
Two minutes later, in the 22nd, Cole gave Chelsea the lead. Thirty yards out with his back to goal he turned on Makelele’s pass, slipping past Fleming, and then crashed through Edworthy’s tackle before hammering a 20 yarder left footer from wide of the penalty area ‘D’ into the nearside nearside roof of Green’s net. It was the eighth goal of his Chelsea career, and undoubtedly the best.
The Chelsea fans, who had been singing some entertaining songs, came out with a special one for Norwich’s top woman Delia Smith: “One Gordon Ramsay, there’s only one Gordon Ramsay, they harmonied.
Cole had a volleyed opportunity from another Duff cross five minutes later but sliced over.
Norwich fans, perhaps motivated by Delia, were in fine voice, especially whenever the ball was in the air in the Chelsea area. Ashton caused plenty of problems, specifically to Terry, but it was Carvalho who blocked his effort on the ground for a corner and then McKenzie’s header from the resulting kick.
Tempers began to flare, first when Johnson pushed Huckerby after he’d lost a race to cross the ball, then when Cole was booked for flying in on Huckerby from behind after losing the ball, and finally when Terry received a kick in the head as he blocked McKenzie’s overhead effort. He received treatment and referee Halsey made him go off when Huckerby took the corner, but Cech held it well, towering above all.
That allowed Chelsea to get over the five minute blip and keep the ball for almost the full seven minutes to half-time.
It was substantially colder in the second-half, although mercifully the sleet of kick-off had long gone.
The game continued in the same pattern: Chelsea possession, Chelsea control, Chelsea half-chances, sporadic Norwich bursts of activity. Makelele was booked for tripping Huckerby — despite Huckerby telling referee Halsey it wasn’t a yellow card — but Norwich were lucky when Fleming floored Drogba and escaped with only a whistle.
Drogba nearly got his revenge on the hour when he sprinted on to Cole’s excellent pass, but this time Green got a foot to the shot and blocked for a throw-in.
But Chelsea were lacking urgency and Norwich’s pop-ups were getting more optimistic. McKenzie headed wide, Ashton continued to cause aerial problems and 18 minutes into the second-half McKenzie scored, breaking the Chelsea defence at last. Ashton again had caused uncertainty in the defence, McKenzie fed Huckerby on the left and then dashed into the area to head home his cross.
Chelsea thus got to within 79 minutes of the English clean sheet record set by Reading but didn’t break it.
Three minutes later Mourinho sent on Kezman and Gudjohnsen for Tiago and Drogba. Gudjohnsen played in midfield with Kezman up front alone at times. But it was Norwich who threatened again, a steaming header from midfielder Francis from a right-wing cross, and Cech made a dramatic, diving catch.
Chelsea stormed forward and Kezman regained the lead seven minutes after it was lost, four after coming on. Gudjohnsen chipped into the area, Lampard and Kezman beat the offside trap and Lampard touched the ball aside from Green for Kezman to touch in his fifth goal of the season.
Now Mourinho sent Gudjohnsen forward, took off Duff, and Joarošik came on. So the front three were Kezman, Gudjohnsen and Cole. Soon, Norwich replaced Stuart with McVeigh.
Carvalho made the game safe with the first goal of his Chelsea career when he headed in Lampard’s inswinging corner with Green confused on his line when 12 minutes remained.
Kezman nearly got another, sprinting on to Johnson’s pass and firing a thriller of a left-footer just over. The Chelsea crowd square of him were ecstatic, pulling out the long unheard chant: “We’re going to win the League, so now you’ve got to believe us…
The only worry was the extended bouts of treatment needed for Terry, Makelele and Cech at different stages. Terry finished in midfield because of his injury with Jarošik in defence. But as Chelsea played happy keep-ball to the end with the fans celebrating with ‘Boring, boring Chelsea,’ it looked like the team was ready for Barcelona.
