FIRST it was Moscow that wanted Mateja Kezman, now it is Washington DC. The Chelsea and Serbia & Montenegro forward, who was reported to be a target for CSKA Moscow, has been invited to have breakfast with President Bush next month. Kezman has been included on a list of prominent Balkan citizens invited to the annual National Prayer Breakfast, to be held on Thursday, February 3 and sounds keen to attend. "I'm very busy at the beginning of February with Chelsea but will try to find the time to attend," he said. "It's a great honour to be invited. I'm not sure who put my name forward, but I'm delighted." But how likely is it that Chelsea will release him, given that they visit Blackburn Rovers the previous evening? "Not likely at all, bearing in mind that we also play Manchester City on the 6th," a club spokesman said. Moreover, if Kezman expects a cosy chat over blueberry pancakes with Dubya, he will be disappointed. The breakfast is a glitzy annual event - this will be the 53rd - held in the Washington Hilton ballroom, attended by hundreds of politicians, business people and military figures. It includes speeches and musical performances. Perhaps Kezman should make it a condition of his acceptance that the President slips in a prayer for José Mourinho to give him a few more first-team starts.
