What price range are you looking at?

Anyone want to argue the case that 'A ball is just a ball?' Sometimes, a ball can make a big difference in how you perform.

Basically if your just practising alone you just need any ball. when you go for training the coach has balls for you.. when u play a game the club has the balls.
i just bought any cheap decent looking balls. and i never bought any expensive ones cos i learnt from mistakes. such as, eventhough the ball is good quality it will run flat later. and this has happened to all of my balls. so i just ball n new one after that.. BTW the ball that i first bought was a adidas supernove used in worldcup (replica). and i dint last for a year. and i was the only person to use it

I look at it like this:
You play with quality, then practice with quality. The NIKE T90 balls are perfect.

I look at it this way.
When you play, you're not always going to have quality footballs. There will be variations. So best playing with all sorts of footballs. Unless you play professional then the footballs r goin to be the same

Here's my take:
I've played different sports utilizing different balls. At some point I reach a state where I can really "feel" the ball and control it pretty well. I've done this with soccer, racquetball, tennis, golf, and a few others.
Whenever you have a good quality ball, you're able to control your shots much better. When you're used to playing with quality equipment, anything inferior just ruins the game for you.
There are many levels of skill. As you all know, FIFA approves a ball for a reason, as do all other clubs and organizations.
So, I believe that if you really want to play your best during a match, it would probably be a good idea to practice with a similar ball.

If you can control a high-quality skill ball, you can control anything.

its the other way round.. just like if you can drive a manual car you can drive an auto.

Maybe not quite the same thing, but I understand what you're saying.
Personally, I believe it's more like comparing a new car with an old car.
A new car is almost always easier to drive than an older one - everything works, there are no issues with vehicle operation.
Older cars most always have an issue that, unless you're used to it, may cause difficulties driving it.
So it may be easier getitng into a new car and start driving, than it would be with an older car.
Much like balls, older or inferior balls do not have the same feel or bounce that a new superior ball does. Each type takes some getting used to.
I still say "practice with what you're actually going to play with, when it counts."
