Might sound stupid, but use the outside of your feet. Doing this will put a backward spin on the ball, meaning that it won't role that far out infront of you. If you use the inside of your foot, the ball will have a FORWARD spin making it role further out infront of you, which lessens your control of the ball.

Also learn how to do a studder-step so it'll be easier for you to switch feet if you need to. And I would only use that technique I said before when you are RUNNING, as in fast.

But in slower sitations, say a jog or something, learn to role the ball under your feet. Like as you're jogging, just take your foot and role it along beside you. Its GREAT for control. It takes awhile to learn but its cool when you do.

Just set up cones (or something in a straight line) depending on how fast you wanta run will depend how far apart they are. The faster you run the more space you should put between them and just dribble between them.
