I play goalie, but I don't really think its hard.
Yeah, it sucks when you get scored on, but just have fun and whatever position you play wont be hard.

I think that every position on the field has it's hard points. Defense is always a tricky place to play. Strikers have the duty scoring the goals to win the game. And mids have to defend and attack. I think defense is pretty nerve raking, but keepers do have the hardest time. Most blame them for loses, but the ball goes through 10 players before him.

defensive midfileds, cos they have to go up and down, up and down, alot of stamina involved

it depends on each game. mentally i'd say golie or center back's the hardest. physically id say midfield. but also midfielders need the most amount of focus and to have it last.

mid-fielders who run up and down the whole game!!!
I'd say the midfeilders have it the worst. I used to be striker, then I moved myself to mid, because the way I see it, they are the most involved in the game. If your team's going to score, the ball will more than likely be fed in by, or evan scored by a mid. Also, they are constantly faced with 50/50 balls in the middle of the feild. Another HUGE reason is the amount of stamina needed to convert from the defence to the offence, or vice-versa, every time the ball is turned over. Where ever the ball is on the field, there is a midfielder there. They have to have an accurate shot, long ball, and pass. They need to have good ball control, and they need to think quickly.
I suppose every position has its difficulties though :ronaldo:

Yeah, if the defenders are containing, and forcing any of the opposing offence to take their shots from a comfortable distance, then the keeper has it easy, but there is a few times in the game they have to come up big.
A keeper also needs to direct his defence and that's a big part of the position too. all positions are hard in their own special ways :nerd:
I don't think a hardest position can be defined. Every position has different responsibilites involved so it's too hard to set one of them apart from the others.

Well you have two types "HARD":
Mental: Which means alot of mental stress, like KNOWING you could lose the game with just a mistake.
Physical: Being like on your muscles, like on your legs and all.
I think Physically you got your fowards having the hardest position. Then again Mentally your goalie will have the hardest position. But I think all together the hardest position would have to be mid-fielders, b/c they have tons of mental stress, knowing that if they let the ball get by it could be a goal, and physical stress b/c they gotta run the ball up.

well if thts the case, then how come when a goal is scored, u neva see the midfielder or striker bein blamed 4 the goal? its either a stunning strike with great skill/teamplay or the defenders/ goalie's fault.

I've played every position. And I think that goalkeeper is the hardest. Not only do u have to be in great shape to launch urslef off the ground and go flying into the middle of people kicking feet but you also have to watch the whole field, be aware of all the players, and be ready for anything at any given moment. No position is easy but I just think that one is the toughest.

I never said that the striker had any blame to have. And I don't know why they don't blame the midfielders, and honestly I don't know why they blame the GOALIE, b/c if the rest of the team had been doing their job it wouldn't have gotten back to the goalie.

Exactly. It has to go through 10 other players before it makes it to the keeper.
This quote from Coach Carter sum's it up nicely:
"We're a team. If one player triumphs, we all triumph. If one player struggles, we all struggle."

I would say probably say midfielder. Needs the most endurance and speed to me...

I've been playing as a keeper for about 10 years, so the position doesn't seem as difficult to me as it may to others.

Aye, I've playe as a midfielder once or twice, and I couldn't last for but a couple of minutes...

so I guess that sums its up...Midfield is probably the harderst. I play center mid, and believe me...Im constantly movin back and forward with the ball. The average distance a soccer player runs during a game is around 6-8 milres, depending where u play... So I imagine that midfielders run at least a third more than that. It is honestly a hard job to get things done in midfield but it if u love to have control over the game then midfield is the place to be. :) :)

Just because you run the most doesn't mean its the hardest position. If that substitues logic, then I could say the goalie is the hardest position b/c you have to do the most diving, or I could say left-wing forward is the hardest position b/c you have to do the most crosses to the right. I mean just because you have to do the most of something, in one position doesn't make it the hardest.

1-Goalie.
2-Right Defender (always Left Wingers have more speed and skills than Right wingers.. so Righ backs always have a diffecult games)
3-FW (support striker) He has a hard jop: creating spaces for other striker.

i think the hardest position is half back position. you almost have to cover the whole field .
