i don't know why thou, but i usually play better in stud boots than blades. but i think the blades a properly better cos alot of pros wear them now or at least in wet conditions.

Blades are... trust me even look at Roberto Carloses boots he actually changed his studs to blades although the blades don't exist on the Toal 90 Airzoom III's.

See heres a pic.

studs are supposed to be for softer grounds (usually) (classical)
and blades tend to be more flexible , for both wet and dry(recent innovation)

i prefer blades because when i turn, the blades allow me to grip the gounf enuff to turn at the precise miment, and not go as far as break an ankle, which i have seen happen

I think they both have their advantages, and disadvantages. To start out with:

Studs- it depends on how they are built, it you have deep penetrating studs they can be as good as some of the blades, but most are built RIGHT out of the boot instead of (like on the Total 90's III) having a platform coming from the shoe, and THEN the cleat.

Blades- the only thing I really DON'T like about blades, is that on some shoes you (Nike Vapours) you have MAJOR pressure points on your foot from where the cleat is connected to your shoe.

All together I'd go with blades if possible.

I hate pressure points on my feet and I use metal studs so they work fine.
