OK. I am a fairly good player that is 12 but I play for a bad (bad) club. I LOVE soccer (football) etc. and I have dreams about being pro. I wish I could play for a better club and all that stuff but I would need to go 10 minutes everyday to get there. I don't play indoor soccer ( well i was just invited to play for a club just today indoor soccer ((by the way... they are a pretty good club)) and I think i can go...) (((I guess that doesn't matter)))
ANYWAYS.. my question is... should i keep on trying for well at least a better club etc. or should i give up and spoil my precious talent* HA that was funny. **actually i have no idea why i posted this** but this has been bugging me forever. I have like a 1-in-999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999 chance of becoming pro i bet and i play for a Very bad club. ***I HAVE NO IDEA ONCE AGAIN WHY I AM POSTING THIS!!!*** i guess i 'll just play for fun and embarass people... NUTMEG ha no nvm so if u guys could cheer me up or somtin (hey i think this is the wrong place to post this junk) so help...

WOW... I thought you were older... well you got plenty of time to practise and just ahve fun playing soccer and trust me the more you play the better ou get the more chance a club is interested in you and no surprise sicne your only 12 that a club won't really be serious in you.

As RaulMadrid7 said, you're 12 and have plenty of time to develop. 10 minutes travel everday to play for a better club? Go for it... 10 minutes of travel is nothing and ya shouldn't complain about it ;).

10 minutes is nothing. I used to travel almost 2 hours (round trip) to go to my practices.

Soccer is a sport that mainly requires talent, but I'll also say this -=> I am 15 years old and I live in Ontario, Canada. I know two provincial scouts and they mostly hang around higher level areas, obviously. I'd highly recommend you go for the higher tier team. Being 12 is the perfect age to be recognized. Soccer is also a sport based on luck of the draw, fate, and being in the right place at the right time. When I first started playing soccer I was recognized and picked for a top 5 Canadian Team. If I was sick, or my father was late and I missed my 15 minute training session in which I recognized, who knows what would have happend. Good luck.

i dont see wot the prob is, if u hve no obligations 2 ur current club, then go 4 it, also i have 2travel for like an hour and a half 4 my current team, taking a buse, a train, another bus and walking 20 mins of the way, so i would say quit complaining because wot is 10 mins distance, i would cycle there if that was the distance 4 me, increasing stamina and shortening the time. also ur 12 u have plenty of time, so relax and enjoy ur football, because that is what its about, ur personal enjoyment.

omg whats wrong wif u. 10mins.. geez i wud go.. im so unlucky i cant even find a club to join near my place. but i relly do wana join a club. i already made college team so i tink most clubs wud allow me to join. i tink yur mad not to join a club 10 mins away.
but i suggest u shud give up pro football. 1st reason. 10mins away n u cant even go
2nd reason. if u liked football tat much u wudnt even post tis msg n u wud straight away go.
3rd reason. if u liked football tat much u wudnt complain anyting bout 10mins

tink bout pros.. its not like they stay outside the training grounds they still have to travel

Hey thanx u guys. I realize what a loser I am now. I was sorta depressed that day when i wrote that and I really wonder why I did it. So I learned (actually I already knew) that 10 minutes really isn't that much. But the club that is 10 minutes away actually isn't that great. It's about 3 times better than mine but the REALLY good one is the ISA (Iowa Soccer Association) (hey I live in Iowa, but they have good teams) (one kid from the ISA could do more than 1000 juggles. I watched him but the coaches there made him stop cuz he took to long.) Anyways, well you get the picture the ISA is ALOT better than the 10 minute away one. (Not just because they have really good jugglers) They have one the midwest league like 6 times in a row. (I think)

P.S. Sorry about all the "()"

when ronaldo was small, he went to this club to tryout, however, the club was quite far away, and he had no ride.

so he walked 6 hours there to the tryouts, and he was late and missed it, so he didnt make it and walked all the way back.

***************************
look at ronaldo now

hope u get the point. :)

How good though?
I used to play for Dagenham and Redbridge academy,(league 2 engllish side)and they are professional.
I left when I was 13 as the competition was tough and I wasn't fit enough.
But you have to be absolutely amazing to join a pro club,I mean when I was 13 I was one of the best players in the school, and that's including the 18 year olds,so never give up believing, but you have to be incredible to get to that stage.
If you want any advice on playing for a pro club,or if you're pursuing a football career, just pm me,and I'll answer your questions mate.

Thanx again... As I'm typin this, I'm wondering,"How do you even become pro. When people say you have to be AMAZING, what IS amazing. Like do you always rainbow or nutmeg people, do you pass all the time, do you have good sportsmanship, do you do all of those (Actually I don't think you can do ALL of them), or do you do anything else or combinations of all of those?"
I'm kinda surprised no one has thought of this.

to be pro - you have to be fit talking bout fit, like full 90 minutes you shud be running and not be tired and pace is a plus too(main point)

you have to have a great first touch, receiving the ball, your first touch should make space for yourself and receive the ball using all methods, thighs foot chest head

its not all bout nutmegging n dribbling and passing, but the first priority in english football between those two is passing. thats the english style, the spanish n the protuguese n brazilian is alot to do wif dribbling. tink about tis. a good pass can go through 3 people with little work. howeva a dribble u have to go pass 3 people wif alot of work. but u shud definately have both skills, dribbling n passing. however dribbling you do not neccesarily need to do fancy footwork. dribbling as in pace and accelearation, however fancy footwork is a plus.

another thing about being amazing is confidence. if your a striker u need to be confident in taking chances, if someone shouts to pass the ball but you know you can dribble and score then u shud b confident enough to do so instead of not knowing which to do n finally loosing the ball.

the rest of the skills you will acquire in training with the club
