New Real Madrid general manager Arrigo Sacchi admits the team's galacticos must become more of a unit.
Sacchi took in Real's home defeat by Seville last week before signing his contract and revealed: "Franco Baresi called me after the game and said 'Arrigo, you know you won't get bored there. There's a lot of work ahead for you!"
"I agree. Six or seven of our players would walk into any team in the world. But we need them to play as a unit. They need to play for the team and all play at the same level of intensity."
"When Seville didn't have the ball, there would be three or four players looking to tackle a Real Madrid player. When it was the other way around, there would only be one Real player trying to defend."
Sacchi rubbished claims that Real's galacticos are too old and coming to the end of their 'cycle' in the game.
"We do not have players here who are too old," he continued. "I don't believe the cycle is over. What we need to do is study why such great players aren't producing."
"There are players like Costacurta, Maldini and Baresi who have demonstrated that it is possible to play at a high level until their 36, 37 or 38 years."

Never read such straight 4ward words from previous sport directors at the club, or even the coach..........I hope he makes a difference...
