Well we have Trezeguet whos excellent, Zlatan is growing more and more with each game, and dont forget Del Piero. Zalayeta has done pretty well even though hes a pretty crap player. I think Juve will only be in the market for a striker in 2 seasons or so time, when Del Piero is too old and can no longer work his magic.

The month of January could see Nicola Legrottaglie, Igor Tudor and Mark Iuliano all leave Juventus.
The Italian giants are expected to reduce their squad and a number of defenders will be shown the door.
Juve currently have seven central defenders on their books – too many when you consider that Fabio Cannavaro and Lilian Thuram virtually start every game.
Legrottaglie’s future could be in the capital with Roma a possible destination for the stopper.
Giallorossi boss Gigi Del Neri is a big fan of the Italian after their time together at Chievo Verona.
The Bianconeri could offer the player in return for an option on Roma defender Cristian Chivu.
Croatian international Tudor is a known target for Standard Liege but he doesn’t seem keen on a move to Belgium.
Recent whispers now suggest that Fiorentina could be interested in the versatile individual.
One player with a host of options seems to be Iuliano. The former Azzurri player has been associated with Celtic but would prefer to stay in Italy.
That could open the door for Bologna, Sampdoria and Siena to make a New Year approach for the former Salernitana ace.

All players leaving are defensive players....I guess Juve has too many of them, but do they have plenty replacements?? Because you can't expect Canna or Thuram to play all season, injuries happen.....

I know, Canna and Thuram are both over 30 so within 2 years theyll be past it and much more injury prone. Tudor deserves a lot more of a chance, Juve have been totally unfair to him, he was one of the best Juve players under Ancelotti, but now hes lucky if he gets to sit his ass on the bench. He needs to move to a different club ASAP.

Yeh he's a good player, but there's Emerson, and he's the definite starter DM, and Juve has too many centre backs, so I guess he doesn't have a spot there, also defensive positions are different from offensive ones, in the formers the rotation of players is not as common as in the latter.

Newcastle full back Olivier Bernard is being linked with a January transfer to Italian titans Juventus.
Bernard has been a consistent figure for The Magpies, but he would appear to be on his way out of St James' Park as talks over a new deal have failed to bear fruit.
The defender has suggested he would happily stay with Newcastle, provided they match his contract demands.
The two sides have failed to reach a suitable agreement and it is being suggested that Newcastle have resigned themselves to losing the French full back in January.
With Newcastle bringing in a left back for January in the form of Celestine Babayaro, it could be that manager Graeme Souness feels he can allow Bernard to move on from Tyneside.
Bernard's displays have caught the eye of a clutch of teams, with his rampaging style down the left flank attracting some of Europe's big hitters.
There are few bigger clubs in Europe than Juventus and it is being claimed that coach Fabio Capello has set his sights on luring Bernard to Turin.
Juventus are leading the way in Serie A and are through to the latter stages of the UEFA Champions League.
Capello is said to be happy with most areas of his squad, while it has been claimed there will be no new arrivals in January, but one area of concern is at left back.
Gianluca Zambrotta has been turning out at left back and although the Italian international has performed with great credit, he is not a natural full back.
It could well be that Capello has earmarked a left back for January and rumours are suggesting Bernard is his favoured option.
French television reports have claimed Bernard is ready to make the move to the Old Lady when the transfer window opens in January and have even suggested a deal is close to being finalised.

Shabani Nonda's agent has admitted having contact with Juventus and Rangers.
The Monaco striker seems unlikely to leave the Principality in the transfer window as he will instead wait until his contract expires in June.
"There are 99.9 percent of chances that Shabani will end the season with Monaco," John Dario told L'Equipe.
"He is much better on a physical level and wants to play in the Champions League.
"There is an interest from Juventus, it is true, but he has not signed anything yet.
"I also have a meeting with them [Rangers officials] later in January."
Monaco had been believed to be looking to raise funds to bid for Fernando Morientes by off-loading their African attacker in the New Year.

thats true but he would fit in nicely once nedved is gone. it'll take some time for the team to get used to nedved leaving but if we bring in rosicky i think it'll make things easier

juve needs cassano or gilardino and get rid of the captain.
Their player that i think are solid is the same as last years: BUFFON, NEDVED, ZAMBROTTA
If i could have a dream signing though, it would definately be Totti with adriano being very close.

Chill, hes a new poster and everyone is entitled to their own opinions. Del Piero hasnt been quite the same for a while now. Right now, after signing Mutu i dont think we really need anyone upfront, atleast for a few years. What we need is a good midfield signing to take over after Nedved retires.

Your are right. Our captain will pull us thrugh!
It sucks when teams like Manchester, Milan, Real, Arsenal have such great names up front, but all Juve can show is Del Piero.
Maybe IBRA will be the next best thing since Vieri. Players like inzaghi should have never played for Juve. They are just not class.
Another thing i want to point out is how many titles delpiero has cost the teams he has played for. His downfall started against real madrid in 98 and he continued in 2000 European Championship and cost italy 2 easy goals.
Del Piero, i hate to say it, and i feel bad for Pinturicchio, is finished!
Lets be honest. Where are we going to go this Champions League. We are not that solid. Have you seen Milan? Have you seen Barcelona?
We might have talent, but not their consistency. And it mainly comes from the forwards. Tell me what team would not want Nedved, Buffon, Zambrotta, Thuram, Cannavaro and Emerson (and even this guy is playing shitty this season). Tell me?????
Zidane was well worth selling, although i still think he is the master and the most creative player. Totti is close, but not as smooth.
And don't tell me that i don't know what i am talking about. I have been follwing Juve for 16 years and i think i can realistically analyze every aspect of their game with common sense.
There is no team in the world that plays the ball like Juve when they play well, maybe Ajax, but thats it. But teams like Milan are so solid and consistent that its scary. A team that is complete in defense, midfiled and attack. Have you seen how attack starts from the midfield with Pirlo and Kaka giving fantastic balls to their forwards, and before you know it, Cafu is there supposerting. Let's not talk about the defense....its scary.

The opening salvo in the summer battle for Belgian starlet Vincent Kompany looks to have come from Juventus.
The Italian giants are understood to have had a bid of €6 million, plus either Marcelo Zalayeta or Igor Tudor, rejected by Les Mauves.
Anderlecht are looking for a fee in excess of €15 million for Kompany, who looks highly likely to depart The Constant Vanden Stock Stadion this summer.
Since making his debut aged just 17 in 2003, the classy central defender has attracted interest from a host of clubs and both Chelsea and Manchester United have appeared close to landing him at different points over the last two years.
North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham have also scouted him closely over the past 12 months.
However, Kompany is by no means destined for England as all of Europe's top clubs are keen.
Juve's interest is obviously apparent, but Internazionale were very keen last summer and are likely to be gearing up for a renewed bid this summer - while Milan cannot be discounted according to reports in Belgium.
If the interest from The Premiership and Serie A was not enough, both Real Madrid and Barcelona stated their fondness of the player only last month.
Kompany is now likely to have his pick of clubs this summer and much will depend on his own personal preference.
The Belgian international is currently finishing his studies and has admitted he will only leave Brussels when he passes his exams, meaning he may yet stay for another 12 months.

hmmm so we're after another defender. i just dont see why we need another one. we have so many. why dont we concentrate on improving our attack cause thats where we need the most help. zalayeta sucks and we need someone to replace him and probably another to replace del piero, i hate to diss my fave player but it has to be done. unless our captain improves, even slightly, then its time to move on

Juventus are pondering a summer bid for Lyon ace Michael Essien, according to reports in France.
The ‘L’Equipe’ newspaper claims that Juventus Vice-president Roberto Bettega watched the midfielder in action against Monaco last week.
Essien, a 22-year-old Ghanaian, is a realistic target as the Old Lady are expected to sell both Alessio Tacchinardi and Stephan Appiah in the summer.
Essien’s agent has also fuelled the rumours of a Turin switch even if he admitted that the Italian outfit had not been in touch.
"I know that Juventus are interested," stated Fabien Pivetau. "However, there has been no direct contact with them."
The current Serie A leaders are not the only ones keen on the player though, given that Manchester United, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Arsenal have all made enquiries.

Kompany wouldnt be bad for us. Look who we have in the back, Zebina (shit) Thuram (getting old), Canna and Zambrotta. Our central defenders are currently some of the best out there, but they are getting older and Kompany would be a player for the future. The guy is so young and already has loads of talent.
The Tacchinardi shit has pissed me off aswell. Juve should make a bloody decision and stick to it.
Ive said it already but what we need is another midfielder, someone to replace Nedved. We all saw how shit Juve played without him.

we dont need rosicky what we really need is maresca back and get rid of capello he doesnt care about juve! hes still a roma at heart! since when do you play a 4-4-2 with 2 def mids - emerson and blasi if a 4-4-2 is going to be played you need 1 def mid and 1 attacking mid y do u think lippi won all those cups playing a 4-4-2? its because there was always a def and attacking mid and maresca is the man but for the time being maybe swtich nedved in the middle to partner emerson and kapo on the left or vice verser either way we are going to win nothing the style of 4-4-2 crapello is playing i hate him i hate him i want carlos bianchi!!!! crapello can go back to roma!!!

Transfer guru Luciano Moggi has cooled speculation that Juventus will make a summer bid for Antonio Cassano.
The Roma ace, whose contract expires in 2006, has been heavily linked with the Bianconeri but Moggi isn’t giving too much away.
"He is a player who can occupy the dreams of all clubs, he’s a champion," Moggi told Radio Anch’Io Sport on Monday.
"However, you need economical power to sign him and you must also take into account that we already have great attacking players at this club.
"Juventus are not a side who buy players to increase the size of their squad, we buy individuals to play."
Moggi and Co will get a close look at Cassano next week when the joint leaders travel to the Stadio Olimpico.
It promises to be a tense affair after boss Fabio Capello, Emerson and Jonathan Zebina all left the capital for Turin in the summer.
"I don’t think there will be any problems outside of the game," explained Moggi. "The good relationship between the two clubs has helped to calm matters.
"Roma are on a par with the top teams. It will be difficult as they have players who can change the game in an instant but we will go there to play our own way."
Moggi added that Pavel Nedved is likely to miss the tie after his head injury, but the Old Lady can rely on the ‘old’ Alex Del Piero.
"It is common for people to criticise him when he plays badly," stated Moggi following Alex’s sublime display against Siena yesterday.
"Nobody takes into consideration the injuries he’s suffered. He will continue to demonstrate that he is a champion."

Bordeaux midfielder Rio Antonio Mavuba has revealed that Juventus would be his first-choice destination should he leave the Stade Chaban-Delmas.
The recently-capped France international told FIFA magazine: "Juventus are the club of my dreams but I would not mind playing for Arsenal or Real Madrid either.
"I want to play abroad but not yet, I have a contract with Bordeaux until 2007, I've got time."
Mavuba only made his debut for Bordeaux in January of last year but his sensational form in Ligue 1 earned him a call up to the France squad in October.
The 20-year-old, who started for Les Bleus in the 0-0 draw with the Republic of Ireland, was voted player of the tournament when France won the Under-20 crown in Toulon last summer.
"After the tournament in Toulon and Raymond Domenech's appointment as national Coach, I thought things could move quickly - but I never thought it would be this quick," he added.
Mavuba, whose father played for Zaire in the 1974 World Cup, was born on a boat in the Atlantic after his parents fled the civil war in Angola

Cristian Chivu has admitted that he’s unsure whether he will still be playing for Roma next season.
Juventus, Milan, Inter and Real Madrid are believed to be monitoring his situation and the stopper could be tempted to leave the Eternal City.
"My future depends on the project here, a project that I am yet to be informed of," he told Tuttosport.
"Nobody can promise anything in this world because this game is no longer simply a sport.
"A lot has changed here, we’ve had injuries and a host of suspensions to deal with this season.
"I am happy in this city but I don’t know what the future holds for me."
The former Ajax man, who was a revelation last season, has played just one game this term after having foot surgery twice.
He recently returned to training but he’s still unlikely to be available for the visit of Juventus on Saturday night.
Meanwhile, the Turin giants are reportedly ready to make Roma an enticing bid for Antonio Cassano.
His contract expires in 2006 and Juve will reportedly offer cash, plus Adrian Mutu and Shabani Nonda – a player who could arrive on a free transfer from Monaco in the summer.

The 20-year-old stopper has caught the eye of the Bianconeri and contact between the two clubs has allegedly already been made.
However, the Liga outfit are understood to have informed the Italian giants that Ibanez is not for sale.
The Madrid outfit are predicting a great future for the defender after recently extending his contract until 2009.
Juventus are believed to have offered Atletico a player plus cash deal, with Stephen Appiah (pictured) part of the proposed bid.

Bayern Munich stopper Nico Kovac is being watched by Italian giants Juventus, says his agent.
Juergen Milewski claims that the Serie A outfit have made Bayern an offer, thought to be around £3.6m, for the player.
Kovac, a Czech Republic international, is available after he recently rejected a new two-year deal with the German outfit.
The Old Lady have also recently been linked with Kovac’s defensive partner Samuel Kuffour.
The Ghana stopper has failed to agree terms over a new contract and he’ll leave for free at the end of the season.
The latter, who is set to be handed European citizenship in the next month, would be welcomed by Fabio Capello.
The Juventus boss is a known fan of the international after he attempted to sign him while in charge of Roma.
The Delle Alpi outfit are keen to rejuvenate their central defensive options for the new campaign, due to the lack of cover for Lilian Thuram and Fabio Cannavaro.
Juve presently only have Paolo Montero and Ciro Ferrara at the club as possible alternatives, following the January departures of Nicola Legrottaglie, Mark Iuliano and Igor Tudor.
Given that Montero is widely considered as past his best, and that Ferrara will retire in the summer, the club need some new faces.

There are strong reports that Juventus have already signed a contract with Bayern Munich defender Robert Kovac.
The club had already been linked with the player earlier this week, but the latest news from the Italian papers suggests a deal has been struck for a free transfer as he will be out of contract at the end of the season.
Croatian international Kovac will turn 31 years of age in April and Calciomercato.it claims he has put pen to paper on a two-year deal with Juventus.
It will be the first Serie A experience for the central defender, who was born in Berlin and played for Bayer Leverkusen before moving to Bayern Munich in 2001. He is valued at over £3m.
Fabio Capello and director general Luciano Moggi have been revolutionising the defence since the summer, allowing Mark Iuliano to join Real Mallorca and loaning out Nicola Legrottaglie (Bologna) and Igor Tudor (Siena).
Ciro Ferrara is set to retire at the end of the current campaign and Paolo Montero is also moving on after spending most of this season on the bench.

Kovac is excellent and there is no player in the world who can mark a man better than him. He must have been given some guaranteed playing time otherwise he wouldnt have moved. A possibility now is shifting Thuram to his old right back role, pushing out Zebina and making way for Kovac.
The only sources i have confirming this are Croatian sources so i wouldnt say its ironclad just yet.

Juventus could be about to rescue the career of Valencia’s unwanted midfielder Stefano Fiore.
The Italian hasn’t had the happiest of times in Spain and the Turin giants are ready to end his Liga nightmare.
Fiore joined the UEFA Cup holders in the summer but has failed to settle despite the presence of fellow Italians Marco Di Vaio, Bernardo Corradi and Emiliano Moretti.
And now that Italian boss Claudio Ranieri is no longer with the club, Fiore will leave the Mestalla.
Juventus have been linked with moves for Fiore in the past but may now finally land the former Udinese, Parma and Lazio ace.
The international is a versatile player and would be welcomed by boss Fabio Capello given Juve’s lack of midfield options.
In theory, Fiore’s quality could be used on either flank, as well as in centre midfield alongside Emerson.
The Old Lady of Italian football have good links with Valencia, following the sale of Di Vaio, and Fiore could be netted for just £3m.
Fiore would be open to the move, with Juventus allegedly ready to offer him a two-year deal worth £800,000 a season.
Should Juve net Fiore, then the Delle Alpi club are unlikely to pursue their interest in Lecce’s Cristian Ledesma.

Real Madrid are reportedly looking to re-sign Juventus boss Fabio Capello in the summer.
The Spanish newspaper Marca today claims that the European giants have Capello’s name at the top of their wish-list.
Real chief Florentino Perez is under pressure to make significant changes after another disastrous campaign.
The Madrid outfit are pretty much out of the Liga race, are no longer in the Coppa del Re and were defeated by Capello’s Bianconeri in the Champions’ League last week.
Current boss Wanderley Luxemburgo may now be shown the door and Perez has his eyes on ‘Don Fabio’.
Capello, who only moved to Turin from Roma in the summer, has already proved his worth in Spanish football.
He spent one year in the country with Real in the 1996-97 season and instantly delivered the League title.
However, his proposed appointment may not be accepted by the fans after a poll in the AS newspaper suggested that 65 per cent were against his re-appointment.
Other possible targets for Real include Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez, who won the Liga and UEFA Cup with Valencia last term.
Milan’s Carlo Ancelotti is another possibility given the presence of technical director Arrigo Sacchi, his former Milan Coach, in Madrid.

Juventus insist that boss Fabio Capello will not join Real Madrid, but the club have confirmed their interest in Antonio Cassano and Cristian Chivu.
Capello has this week been heavily linked with a return to Spain but Luciano Moggi has slammed those reports.
"It’s a joke that doesn’t make me laugh," stated the director general. "But we can leave those in Spain to believe what they want.
"The truth is that Capello signed a three-year deal with us in the summer," maintained the official.
"He’s here to win the Scudetto and the Champions’ League. His plans fit in perfectly with ours."
Capello joined Juventus from Roma and transfer whispers suggest that the giants could go shopping in the capital again this summer.
Rumours circulating in Italy claim that Juve are keen on netting both attacking sensation Cassano and versatile defender Chivu.
"I would be a liar if I said they were not good players who we like," admitted the transfer wizard.
"But Roma would have to sell them and you would need a massive bag of money to buy them."
However, the Bianconeri wouldn’t have to spend a penny on the Bayern Munich pair of Robert Kovac and Samuel Kuffour.
The central defenders, who are available on a free transfer, have been associated with the Delle Alpi outfit.
"Kovac isn’t a bad player but he hasn’t got EU status," Moggi stated. "Kuffour? You’re on the wrong path."

Stefano Fiore’s agent has again confirmed that the unsettled Valencia man will return to Italy this summer with two particular clubs in mind.
“I can certainly say that Stefano did not come all the way to Spain just to warm the bench, blasted his agent Federico Pastorello.
“By not playing regular first team football, he has lost his place in the Azzurri squad. Although I haven’t personally had contact with them, Juventus and Inter would be the best options.
The Italian international midfielder moved to Valencia along with Lazio teammate Bernardo Corradi when Claudio Ranieri took over at the Mestalla last summer.
However, he had problems settling in from the start and the sacking of Coach Ranieri this month only compounded Fiore’s problems.
A return to the Biancocelesti had originally been suggested, but with their financial problems and Fiore’s current form, that does not seem to be on the cards any longer.
Inter and Juventus had both been linked with the player last summer and during the January transfer window, with the Nerazzurri slightly ahead in the running thanks to the presence of his old Lazio Coach Roberto Mancini.
There is talk of a total clearout of the Italian imports at Valencia next season, which would see Marco Di Vaio, Corradi and ex-Parma defender Emiliano Moretti moving on.

Lyon midfielder Michael Essien is again being linked with a summer move to Italian giants Juventus.
The Ghanaian ace has been paired with numerous clubs recently, but reports in Italy suggest that the Bianconeri are in a good position to land the starlet.
However, they face some stiff opposition for him given that Manchester United, Arsenal and Barcelona are also looking to lure him away from the Stade Gerland
"For the moment I have no idea what will happen," said the 22-year-old at the weekend.
"I still have three years left on my contract with Lyon, but I like Arsenal and Manchester United as well.
"In the end it will be my decision, just as it was when I turned down PSG to come to Lyon."
The youngster has been a revelation since he joined from Bastia in 2003, and Lyon President Jean-Michel Aulas values him at £20m.
The club will do everything in their power to persuade Essien to stay, but are reported to be following Saint-Etienne's Didier Zokora as an eventual replacement.

Juventus are today being linked with two young Italian defenders but they may lose Gianluca Zambrotta to Chelsea.
Andrea Barzagli of Palermo and Parma’s Daniele Bonera are set to be targeted as the Old Lady look to strengthen an already mean defence for next season.
However, Zambrotta has become a target for free spending Chelsea, with Coach Jose Mourinho having already identified the need for a top quality left-back.
It now seems unlikely that Chelsea will purchase Arsenal defender Ashley Cole and Zambrotta could be a more feasible target for the London outfit.
The Bianconeri may be persuaded in selling their outstanding full-back for a fee of around £15m, especially as the highly-rated Giorgio Chiellini is set to return to Turin once his loan period with Fiorentina ends.
Chiellini, currently on full Azzurri duty, could be joined in Turin by two other Italian internationals.
Bonera has been one of Parma’s most consistent performers this season and an offer of £3.5m may be enough to tempt the Tardini outfit to sell.
The 24-year-old, who was already strongly linked with the Turin giants last summer, can play at both centre-back and right-back.
Meanwhile, Barzagli has become a regular in the national squad after a series of commanding performances at the heart of Palermo’s defence this term.
Should the former Chievo and Under-21 ace leave the Renzo Barbera, Palermo will step up their attempt to sign Cesare Bovo on a permanent basis.
The latter is co-owned by the Sicilian club along with Roma, but has been playing for Parma this season.

Real Madrid ‘keeper Iker Casillas won’t sign a new contract unless his club rule out a bid for Juventus ace Gigi Buffon.
Casillas, Spain’s No 1, is ready to remain at the Bernabeu but wants assurances about his future before putting pen to paper.
"Before renewing my contract I want to know if Buffon is arriving," he said as rumours of Real’s interest in the Italian gather pace.
"It’s normal that Real look for new players but I cannot leave anything to chance. I have been in football too long to do that."
Casillas, who has been with the capital outfit since he was eight, added: "I am a Madrid man through and through and have no other desire but to continue playing for them.
"But if Buffon is arriving, I want to know before I make another commitment to this club."
Real Madrid are already reportedly negotiating contract renewals for both Luis Figo and Ivan Helguera.
Now it seems to be up to Real’s director of football, Arrigo Sacchi, to make a decision on Casillas’ contract which currently expires in June 2006.
Buffon arrived at Juventus in July 2001 for a staggering £33m from Parma – the highest fee ever paid for a goalkeeper.
The shot-stopper is next in action on Saturday when he’ll look to keep out Scotland in the World Cup qualifier

Robert Kovac is set for a move to Turin giants Juventus next season, according to Bayern Munich general manager Uli Hoeness.
The Croatian international centre-back is out of contract in the summer and Hoeness has suggested a Delle Alpi switch is on the horizon.
"We offered him a two-year contract extension with an option on a third year, but he’s apparently received an offer from Juventus which we can’t and won’t match," he said.
"Regretfully we’ve had to accept the fact that Robert will leave the club at the end of this season."
The Old Lady are keen to rejuvenate their central defensive options for the new campaign, due to the lack of cover for Lilian Thuram and Fabio Cannavaro.
Bayern will now look to replace Kovac with Chelsea’s young German defender Robert Huth, who has stated he is keen to move in order to play first team football.

Gigi Buffon has invited Roma starlet Antonio Cassano to come and join him at Juventus next season.
The attacker is being tipped to leave the capital in the summer and Buffon insists Turin would be the perfect environment for his talents.
"He is a player who has grown up a lot in recent times," admitted the Italian international goalkeeper.
"He’s a lot more disciplined than he was at the European Championship Finals. He would be perfect for Juventus."
The 22-year-old has had his problems both on and off the field during his career so far, but Buffon insists Cassano could develop into a great wearing the Bianconeri shirt.
"He would certainly have to abide by a few more rules with us but he could win the Golden Ball with our help," he added.
Buffon, currently on international duty with Cassano, also pledged his own future to Juve following reports of interest from Real Madrid.
"I think a goalkeeper is the last of Real’s problems right now," stated the £33m man. "I have a long contract with Juventus and I’m happy in Italy."
The custodian was also asked for his opinion on Gennaro Gattuso and Giuseppe Pancaro’s decision to refuse an optional blood test, following Milan’s win at Roma on Sunday.
"Players have the choice to take the test or not, therefore I don’t understand what all the fuss is about," he noted.
"I firmly believe that our football is one of the cleanest in doping terms on the planet. I’m ready to bet on that."

Juve have hinted that they could use the money from a new sponsorship deal to fund their summer bid for Antonio Cassano.
The club coffers were given a massive boost this week when it was announced that Libyan company Tamoil has signed on to pay £76m over the next five years to sponsor their shirts in all competitions. There is also an option to extend for a further five seasons at a cost of £90m.
Last summer saw a more cautious transfer approach from the Turin giants due to financial worries, so this sudden influx of fresh money will prompt them to bring in the top stars.
“We won’t go mad, insisted director general Luciano Moggi. “Juventus will only bring in useful players to improve the squad.
One such player is Antonio Cassano, who has been linked to the club ever since Fabio Capello took charge in May 2004.
Cassano has also pushed these rumours along by repeatedly confessing his admiration for the Coach and that he “misses him every day a little bit more.
The uncertainty at Roma, who are on their fourth tactician of the campaign, and the fact he has yet to start serious renegotiations for a contract that expires in 2006 makes this summer a crucial stage in the young starlet’s career.
Real Madrid are also interested in the Italian international, but there can be no doubting his favoured destination should be finally break it off with the side that signed him for £20m in 2001.
"He is a player who has grown up a lot in recent times," said Juve goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon this week. "He’s a lot more disciplined than he was at Euro 2004. He would be perfect for Juventus and could win the Golden Ball with our help.

Whispers in South America suggest that Juventus have agreed to sign Carlos Andre Diogo Ensenat in the summer.
The 21-year-old, more commonly known as Diogo, has caught the eye of the Turin giants after excelling for River Plate.
The Argentine side have offered the player, who can appear at right-back and in midfield, a new deal but he’s rejected it.
Now a summer move beckons and his agent, Paco Casal, has reportedly agreed a deal with an Italian club.
That outfit is believed to be Juventus, who already have three other Uruguayans in the shape of Paolo Montero, Ruben Olivera and Marcelo Zalayeta.
However, Diogo may not play for the Old Lady in the new season given that he is likely to be sent on loan to a smaller club.
The Bianconeri may offer him to Palermo as part of a deal to sign either Andrea Barzagli or Cristian Zaccardo.
He could also be offered to Livorno after the Tuscan side 'helped’ Juve sign Adrian Mutu in January

i too have heard of these rumours, yet because i havnt seen diogo i am not too sure whether i should be too excited.
however it seems every year juve are linked to every new and exciting player from brasil and argentina, for examlpe diego and andres d'alessandro were both "destined" to be wearing the juve colours in one season or another. yet the sad fact is that quite a few of these players never go futher that this rumour tag. hopefully juve will land the highly rated essien, ahead of man utd and most likely the paracites that are chelsea, and perhaps another youthful centre back to add youth and respectability to their ageing defence, (ageing but still a remarkable force in both italian and european football). the truth is that juve do not need to look for too many transfers in the summer. capello has added a new dimension to the game of the bianconeri, and it works, who knows how the ever amazing zlatan will team up with mutu. after all juve also have over 40-50 young players out on loan all over europe, and their name as italys biggest club will not be damaged by a quite summer transfer market. but with transfer guru moggi at the helm of juve who knows, zidane could well be back at the club, stranger things have happened!!!!!

true but i doubt that cassano will join juve, i know i as a fan would prefere not to see him wear a juve top. in the roma - juve game in the olympico when cassano repeatitly pushed camoranesi i lost all respect (already very little) i ever had for the "sensation". the question has to be, with all his moaning and tantrums will cassano be content with sitting on the bench in any game, the player has the temprament of a 2 year old and as a result could find himself quickly rejected by the supporters.
i too was weary of capello at the beginning, but in truth the manager has shown his experience and value as a top coach already this season, and although his loyalty is questionable, at the moment he is juves best option as manager, any way we all know who the real manager of juve is!! also will mutu be content going to roma, perhaps as he is soooooo desperate to revive his career, but i think he really wants to prove himself as a member of the bianconeri squad. for those reasons i could be content to see cassano in the colours of Rome for another season at least!!

Welcome to the forums mate, hope to see you around here more often.
Mutu i think could be converted into a new Nedved, as hes really good on the left. I think our next transfer target should be Darijo Srna, the kid is amazing absolute golden freekicks and setpieces, he currently plays for Shakhtar and is only 22.

Juventus ace Gianluca Zambrotta maintains that he has no desire to join Chelsea or Real Madrid.
The left-back has been hotly linked with both clubs recently but he insists that he’s committed to the Bianconeri.
"I have a contract at Juventus until June 2008," said the former Bari midfielder, who is now considered as one of Europe’s best full-backs.
"It is pleasing to know that great clubs are keen but I am very happy at Juve. I hope to stay in Italy for as long as possible."
Chelsea were allegedly lining up a summer bid as the Italian is seen an alternative for Arsenal’s English international Ashley Cole.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid are today being associated with Zambrotta’s Turin teammate Emerson.
Juventus are reportedly ready to sell the 29-year-old despite his massive impact since his summer arrival from Roma.
Real are also said to be interested in making a bid for Milan playmaker Andrea Pirlo or Daniele De Rossi of Roma.
Further whispers in Spain on Wednesday suggest that Real are ready to sell Ronaldo at the end of term.
The Brazilian, who has netted just once in his last 12 games, is apparently available for £17m.
Chelsea could be keen, even if Inter are also being linked after Ron’s recent comments that he would be open to a Nerazzurri return.
The South American left the San Siro outfit in the summer of 2002 due to his uneasy relationship with then boss Hector Cuper.

Mutu will have the best years of his career if the bianconeri decide to keep him, i will pretty much guarantee that.

Gigi Buffon has silenced talk of a move to Real Madrid by extending his contract with Juventus until 2010.
The goalkeeper has been heavily linked with the Spanish giants recently but a summer move seems to have now been ruled out.
Reports suggest that Real made the Turin giants an offer of £22m last week, a bid which was rejected by the Serie A leaders.
And now Juve have shown their commitment to the Azzurri ace by renewing his £3.2m-a-season contract for an extra 12 months.
Today’s news will be a massive relief for fans who were fearing a repeat of the Zinedine Zidane transfer – after he left Juve for Real in a £50m deal in 2001.
But the club used that cash to sign Buffon, for £33m, in that same summer after his rise as Italy’s best shot-stopper.
The 27-year-old, who has won two Scudetti and two Italian Super Cups with the Old Lady, could now realistically end his career at the Stadio Delle Alpi.
Real could still look to Italy for a new ‘keeper if they decide to sell Manchester United target Iker Casillas in the summer.
Parma’s Sebastien Frey would be an option given that Real’s technical director, Arrigo Sacchi, knows him well after they worked together at the Tardini.
Other possible options include Milan No 2 Christian Abbiati and Chelsea’s Italian custodian Carlo Cudicini.

Juventus are set to sign Giuliano Giannichedda on a free transfer after his contract talks with Lazio stalled.
The 30-year-old is only tied to the capital club until June and no agreement has yet been reached over a renewal.
The Biancocelesti want to keep hold of the former Udinese man but their initial offer has not been welcomed by the player.
Lazio are ready to hand the midfielder a four-year deal but a contract that is only worth around £350,000-a-season.
Reports suggest that Juve will propose a three-year deal which will net the player over double that amount of money.
Giannichedda will further be enticed by the prospect of battling for the Scudetto and the Champions’ League with the Old Lady.
It’s understood that Giannichedda met with Lazio sporting director Gabriele Martino yesterday to discuss his situation.
Martino is believed to have told the ace, who is hoping for an international recall in time for the 2006 World Cup, that he wants a definite answer regarding his future by next week

Emerson has cast doubt on his Juventus future by admitting his interest in joining Real Madrid.
The Spanish media are convinced that the Brazilian is a summer transfer target and the player has seemingly left the door open for a shock switch.
"Like any other footballer, I would like to play for Real Madrid because of what they represent in the world game," he said after scoring in the 1-1 draw with Uruguay last night.
"But any move would be decided between the two clubs. I have a contract with Juventus and I think an immediate transfer would be very difficult."
Emerson’s remarks will come as a surprise to many given that he rejected a Real approach in the summer.
Roma had agreed a fee with the Madrid outfit but the South American insisted that he only wanted Juventus.
The Italian giants are also unlikely to release the former Bayer Leverkusen ace due to his impact at the Stadio Delle Alpi.
Emerson has quickly settled in Turin, thanks also to his understanding with ex-Roma boss Fabio Capello, and has been instrumental in the club’s success so far this term.

Juventus midfielder Emerson has rubbished reports that he is interested in a summer move to Real Madrid.
The Brazilian was yesterday quoted as saying that “he would like to play for Real but he today insists that is not true.
“I never said what has been reported, said the summer signing from Roma as he committed his future to Juve.
“I was asked for my opinion about Real’s interest in me and I simply stated that a move would be impossible.
“That is because I have just arrived at Juventus and I have signed a four-year contract with them.
The former Bayer Leverkusen ace has been strongly associated with a Liga switch but a move now looks even more unlikely than it did on Thursday.

Alessandro Del Piero is being linked with a move to London if Juventus net Antonio Cassano in the summer.
Speculation in the peninsula suggests that the 30-year-old will quit the Turin giants if, as expected, Juve net Roma’s Cassano at the end of the season.
The youngster is seen as an heir to Del Piero in the Italian game and Alex’s mediocre season doesn’t bode well.
He’s often been substituted by boss Fabio Capello, who is also a massive fan of Cassano after their time together at Roma, and the January arrival of Adrian Mutu raised further questions about the No 10’s future.
Now a switch to the Premiership is being touted with a number of clubs reportedly interested.
Although the likes of Liverpool - who Del Piero will face on Tuesday - and Manchester United would be keen, Del Piero would reportedly only consider a London move.
That leaves the door open for Chelsea, Arsenal and even Tottenham to ponder a summer bid for the Azzurri ace.
However, conflicting reports on Monday suggest that the former Padova youngster will remain for at least one more campaign.
Del Piero has started to rediscover some of his best form in recent weeks which has helped Juve maintain their joint leadership in Serie A.
A potential sale would also not be welcomed by the fans who see the captain as an emblem of the club.

Juventus star Pavel Nedved has threatened to quit at the end of the season if he continues to be plagued by injury.
The Czech ace will return to the side against Liverpool tonight in what could be one of his last Champions’ League appearances for the club.
"How am I? I don’t know to be honest," stated the midfielder who has spent the last five weeks on the sidelines.
"I haven’t played properly for months. It has been a disaster for me since the European Championships," he added.
"I picked up blows to my knee and my head. If it goes on like this, I’ll retire at the end of the season."
Nedved had previously stated that he would hang up his boots when his contract expires in 2006.
But he’s so frustrated with the last 12 months that he seems to be seriously considering his future.
"It’s better to quit before you are ruined," he added. "Health comes first in life. After all, football isn’t the only reason for my existence."
Nedved’s fitness problems started last summer when he picked up a serious knee injury in the Euro 2004 semi-final against Greece.
He then sustained another blow to the same knee in January during a League victory against Brescia.
Nedved returned to the side for the Champions’ League trip to Real Madrid, but he didn’t last the 90 minutes as he was knocked unconscious following an accidental clash of heads.
The player was hospitalised for a few days but he has now been given the green light to return to the Bianconeri midfield.

Bayern Munich chief Karl Heinze Rummenigge believes Robert Kovac will join Juventus in the summer.
The Croatian stopper is out of contract in June and Bayern have admitted they are unlikely to reach an agreement over an extension.
"Juventus have made him an offer which is too steep for us," the former Inter player told Tuttosport.
"If the figure which his agent has told us is true then we can’t really compete with it. We really can’t afford to spend that much on Kovac."
The 31-year-old is rumoured to have already agreed a three-year Turin deal, worth £1m a season.
The Old Lady are keen to rejuvenate their central defensive options for the new campaign, due to the lack of cover for Lilian Thuram and Fabio Cannavaro.
Bayern will now look to replace Kovac with a move for Chelsea’s young German defender Robert Huth, who has stated he is keen to move in order to play first team football.
Meanwhile, Juventus are also today being linked with Benfica defender Luis Miguel, as they look for an alternative to current right-back Jonathan Zebina.

well after the game kovac had against chelsea i would have to say lets hope that the defender will play better in italy than he does in the bayern shirt! even playing alongside the commanding presence of lucio, the Croatian international was in two minds over everything. lets hope if juve do sign him he does a zebina and rapidly improves in the juve shirt. after all we know how hard it is for foreign players from other countries to adapt their style of play to the italian game, and for some reason in the juventus shirt!
also lets hope that juve pull their thumb out and look to the future, as the biggest two prospects in football look to be heading to england, michael essien and freddy adu, two wonderkids with a huge footballing potential ahead are probably half way to the premiership. the truth is that juve dont really stand a chance ion signing adu the american sensation, but the likes of essien, rosicky, saviola and nonda are a few of the players that are more than likely to be trnsfered in the summer, and with juves new sponsership deal they have no excuse not to make a few bids. also if juve want to compete with the squad depth of inter and ac milan then another solution would be to bring back some of juve's exciting players, maresca, miccoli, Chiellini, hell even matteo brighi could come back. after all the midfielder has a great record with juve, 1 game and 1 italian supercup, lol. seriously though i now think that juve should make at least one of these transfers, after all look how much they have regretted selling vieri and not signing nesta!!!!!
but who am i to tell juve what to do, they havnt won over 50 worldwide titles by listening to the views of fans

Good to have another intelligent Juve fan on the forum.
Some fair points, but i disagree with the Kovac assumption, I think thats a bit harsh on him, he played an pretty good game and was only ever beaten in the air. After the game Oliver Kahn said Drogba had the best header he had ever seen, so Kovac did pretty well in my eyes. He has managed to make Henry, Zidane and other greats look invisible, so i am sure he would be an asset for Juve.

it now seems afer quite a while of speculation that juve will beat Lazio to the signature of Giuliano Giannichedda, the club from the capital are set to loose out on offering Giannichedda a new contract to the old lady after all, lets hope so, as we would then have some friendly competition between Blasi and Giannichedda in midfield.
juve are also rumoured to be offering a new bid for Cristian Ledesma, the Argentine midfielder is set to be backup on the right side of midfield for camoranesi, yet in my opinion the promising winger is good enough to challange for a starting eleven. depending on the formation 4-4-2 or the trident attack!
also is zebina the only injury for the return game against liverpool??

Ternana starlet Luis Antonio Garces Jimenez feels that he is too inexperienced to join a club like Juventus.
The Chilean ace has been heavily associated with a Turin switch but feels he would benefit by signing for a smaller outfit first.
"Everyone wants to play for the great clubs," he told GRT radio. "However, I think a player with my experience would benefit from playing regularly for a mid-table outfit."
That has opened the door for Fiorentina and Lazio to make a swoop for the South American at the end of the current campaign.
"They were already linked with me last summer," he added. "It would be ideal for a 20-year-old like me to mature at such clubs."
Stories over the weekend suggested that Juve had definitely brought the right-sided wizard, even if his Serie B club officially denied the reports.
If the Old Lady do indeed sign Jimenez, then he is likely to be loaned out to clubs such as Lecce or Messina.
Even if the Tuttosport newspaper did suggest that he could be offered to Roma as bait to tempt them to release Antonio Cassano.
interesting news. i think we should buy him, loan him out for a couple of seasons and then bring him back. ive seen this kid play a couple of times and hes got skills but as he said he is still inexperienced.

Reports in Italy are gathering pace that David Trezeguet will leave Juventus at the end of the season.
Unconfirmed whispers in the peninsula claim that his relationship with the outfit is deteriorating and a summer exit is a real possibility.
Trezeguet was already on the verge of quitting the Bianconeri last summer when a move to Barcelona was seemingly already lined up.
However, the club decided to extend his contract – which was set to expire in 2006 – at the request of new boss Fabio Capello.
Juventus could now be planning a future without the former Monaco man though after a nightmare campaign at the Delle Alpi.
Trezeguet has rarely featured this term as a result of his constant injury problems.
He missed three months of the season following shoulder injury, he was then sidelined with a virus and is currently out for 20 days because of an ankle problem.
Juve may now cash in on the striker with Barcelona or a move to the Premiership being touted.
The Italian giants are allegedly ready to sacrifice the international given the explosion of Zlatan Ibrahimovic this term.
There are even reports that Juve could replace Trezeguet by signing Parma hotshot and Italian international Alberto Gilardino.
Juventus have a reputation for selling big name players after the departures of Roberto Baggio, Zinedine Zidane and Christian Vieri in recent history.
i wouldnt mind selling trez if we get gilardino, i would actually prefer gila. i hope we can accomplish this cause with gila and ibra we would have a powerfull attack

Fabio Capello will continue as Juventus boss next season despite their Champions’ League elimination.
The tactician has been linked with a switch to Real Madrid, a move that could potentially happen if the Bianconeri now fail to also win the Scudetto.
But the club insist that they have no plans to make a coaching change at the end of the current campaign.
"I’m 100 percent certain that Capello will be the Juventus Coach next season," stated director general Luciano Moggi. "I have no doubts about that at all."
The Old Lady’s European exit has cost the outfit around £10m which could affect the club’s transfer strategy.
"We’ll think about what to do about our squad for next season after the game against Lazio (on April 24)," he added.
"But I think we just need a few little touches. We certainly need to add a little quality but nothing drastic needs changing.
"If you change five or six first team players at once then you won’t win anything."
The 2-1 aggregate defeat to Liverpool was a massive blow but Moggi is seeing the bright side.
"Our progress in Europe isn’t bad," he added. "We got to the Second Round last year, the quarter-finals this term, next year we will get to the last four before winning it in two years time…"
Now Juve are just focusing on beating Milan to the Italian title. "We shouldn’t panic unless it goes badly against Lecce on Sunday," noted the official.
"We are first at the minute with the best attack and the second best defence. The championship race has never been as exciting as this."
i dunno. a failure in the champions and if we dont win the serie A i think capello should go

Barca i dont think would go for him now with Maxi, Eto'o and Larsson.
Capello is a dickface. Anyone who plays Montero in a crucial game and decides Montero is more useful than Tudor is an idiot.

Ive always thought Capello was a dickface, its just i didnt mind what he was doing because of his rich coaching history, i thought "wow, he must be doing all of this for SOME benefit"
What have we gotten out of Capello? Our last season with Lippi was bad but i think the improvement is due largely to Emerson and Cannavaro.
Keeping Montero and snuffing out Tudor was what really made me doubt his abilities, then playing Montero against Liverpool...urgh.

well after the game kovac had against chelsea i would have to say lets hope that the defender will play better in italy than he does in the bayern shirt! even playing alongside the commanding presence of lucio, the Croatian international was in two minds over everything. lets hope if juve do sign him he does a zebina and rapidly improves in the juve shirt. after all we know how hard it is for foreign players from other countries to adapt their style of play to the italian game, and for some reason in the juventus shirt!
also lets hope that juve pull their thumb out and look to the future, as the biggest two prospects in football look to be heading to england, michael essien and freddy adu, two wonderkids with a huge footballing potential ahead are probably half way to the premiership. the truth is that juve dont really stand a chance ion signing adu the american sensation, but the likes of essien, rosicky, saviola and nonda are a few of the players that are more than likely to be trnsfered in the summer, and with juves new sponsership deal they have no excuse not to make a few bids. also if juve want to compete with the squad depth of inter and ac milan then another solution would be to bring back some of juve's exciting players, maresca, miccoli, Chiellini, hell even matteo brighi could come back. after all the midfielder has a great record with juve, 1 game and 1 italian supercup, lol. seriously though i now think that juve should make at least one of these transfers, after all look how much they have regretted selling vieri and not signing nesta!!!!!
but who am i to tell juve what to do, they havnt won over 50 worldwide titles by listening to the views of fans
you watch him against Arsenal?? he was amazing in first leg didn't given ex-juve player Henry a sniff at goal all game how many defenders can claim that in the last 2 seasons??

im not really one to argue with people but, come on, quite a few defenders can say that they have markd thierry henry out of a european match. there is no secret that henry doesnt show up in big euro matches, nor arsenal. the truth is that HENRY IS OVER-RATED (brilliant, but over-rated) the english style of play suits henry, a flat back four willing to sit back, and when any sort of throughball is hit henry is there. he does score fantastic goals in the premiership, but just watch the defenders on him, they give him far to much space and time on the ball. this is why in europe henry isnt as good, in the champions league and in the world cup/european championships teams play a more man 2 man system, and this stops Henry, whens the last time we seen henry as good as he can be in the premiership in europe, i can only remember 2, the 3-0 match against roma 3 years ago and last season victory over inter. henry CANNOT header, he cannot play without time and space on the ball, if any team wants to know how to kill henry in a match, stick a young strong and fast player on him to stick to him like glue, and i promise you, you wont see henry for 90mins!!!! surely you have to ask yourself, why is he still playing for arsenal, not ac milan real madrid or barcelona, because deep down he probably 2 knows he couldnt make it outside the premiership!!! Henry is the best striker in england, but only a small threat in europe!

Thats quite true about Henry, but Kovac has also kept the likes of Zinedine Zidane invisible. He is a rock and is considered the best man marker in the world, he would be good for us if Thuram shifts out right.
Henry wouldnt leave Arsenal because he scores 30+ goals there a season, and would get paid accordingly. Some strikers are suited to certain leagues, but dont forget he did play for us.

Middlesbrough’s trip to Turin in midweek was reportedly to check on Juventus star Stephen Appiah.
Boro boss Steve McClaren travelled to Italy with chief executive Keith Lamb to watch Juve's UEFA Champions League clash with Liverpool.
It is now claimed that former Parma star Appiah was the reason for the trip and talks with high-ranking Bianconeri officials took place about the highly-rated Ghanaian's availability.
Boro are believed to have received a positive response and could look to seal a deal, which may be a loan to start off with - although Juve may want a straight cash move, and Birmingham are also said to be showing an interest.
Igor Tudor, currently with on loan at Siena, is also rumoured to have been asked about by Lamb and McClaren.
McClaren is looking to add some real depth to his squad and midfield seems to be his priority, with talks already ongoing with Austrian Rene Aufhauser and rumours of a loan deal for Manchester United's Darren Fletcher persisting.
Boro are also looking to keep Boudewijn Zenden - whose deal expires in the summer.
Zenden has been linked with a possible return to PSV Eindhoven, but his father and agent Pierre insists that staying at The Riverside is his son's priority.
"He is not interested in PSV at the moment," he said.
"We expect to have talks with Boro in the next week or two, but it would be good for Boudewijn, especially if they are in Europe next season."
Brazilian Doriva is also out of contract at the end of the season, but he is expected to leave in the summer.
McClaren already looks to have decided on his attacking options with a deal almost completed for Portsmouth's Yakubu Aiyegbeni - although the likes of Szilard Nemeth, Joseph-Desire Job, Malcolm Christie and Italian Massimo Maccarone are all likely to have their long-term futures assessed.

Steve McClaren is hoping to use Middlesbrough's links with Juventus to good effect in the summer, with Igor Tudor still a target.
Croatia international Tudor has long been mooted as a target for the Premiership club and he is currently spending a spell on loan at Siena.
Boro boss McClaren is keen to strengthen his squad in the summer and, in addition to Tudor, is also thought to be eyeing Juventus midfielder Stephen Appiah.
McClaren, along with Boro chief executive Keith Lamb, watched Juve in action against Liverpool last week, while chief scout Don Mackay took in Siena's clash with Milan over the weekend.
The Boro chief is returning to Italy on Wednesday to watch Siena's tussle with Roma where, along with casting an eye over Tudor, he will check on the progress of Massimo Maccarone.
He admits that he will be putting the versatile Tudor under the microscope after confirming he hopes to exploit Boro's ties with Juventus at the end of the season.
"I'm planning to watch Massimo against Roma," said McClaren. "Igor Tudor is playing for Siena as well.
"We sent Don over to watch Siena and they had a great victory over AC Milan.
"There is no hiding the fact that me and Keith Lamb went over there and took in the Liverpool game.
"We have good links with Juve and wanted to talk because things might be done in the summer.
"We have been looking at their fringe players because this is the time of year when you are looking at the big clubs and who they might be releasing or letting out on loan."

Chelsea have been given permission by the Premier League to seek compensation over Adrian Mutu’s move to Juventus.
The Stamford Bridge outfit, who sacked Mutu in October after he tested positive for cocaine, are looking to net around £8m of the £15.7m transfer fee they handed over to Parma for the player.
Even though the Blues are taking on Mutu in the case, Juventus would have to pay any possible damages following his capture in January.
FIFA could now be asked to intervene in the case or Chelsea may take the action to a civil court.
Chelsea were given the green light on Wednesday after the League's appeals committee heard evidence from boss Jose Mourinho, chief executive Peter Kenyon, a Juventus representative and Mutu himself.
"The appeals committee concluded that the conduct of the player in taking banned drugs was gross misconduct, which entitled the club to treat the player's contract as at an end and amounted to a unilateral breach without just cause or sporting just cause," read a statement from the Premier League.
"The club is therefore entitled to proceed to seek compensation and sporting sanctions from the dispute resolution chamber (DRC) of FIFA."
The 26-year-old is currently serving a world-wide ban and won’t be eligible to play until next month – for Juve’s last two games of the season.
Although Chelsea sacked the former Inter forward, they insist he broke his contract by breaching the terms of his contract.
This is the first time that an outfit has looked to gain compensation from a player after his dismissal.
so they kick him off for using coke. then terminate his contract. they had a choice to keep him or not they decide to let him go and now they r looking for money. i hope FIFA shuts them down and chelsea gets nothing, greedy bastards

Reports in South America insist that Juventus will sign River Plate youngster Carlos Andre Diogo.
The 21-year-old Uruguayan has turned down the offer of a new contract with his Argentine club, which suggests a move is on the horizon.
Stories in both Argentina and Diogo’s homeland maintain that Turin will be his next destination.
The international is liked by the Bianconeri as he would provide cover for both right-back Jonathan Zebina and right-winger Mauro Camoranesi.
The only stumbling block now would be that Juventus must first sell one of their non-EU players in order to net Diogo.
That means that Paolo Montero (pictured), Marcelo Zalayeta, Ruben Olivera or Stephen Appiah will be sacrificed in the summer.
Montero, given his age, is likely to move on even if Appiah has also been linked with an exit recently.
However, there is the possibility that Diogo will leave the Stadio Delle Alpi as soon as he arrives.
He may be offered on loan to either Palermo or Livorno, two clubs who have good links with the Italian giants.

David Trezeguet says he wouldn’t object to an Arsenal move, even if Valencia are also being linked with the Juventus ace on Thursday.
Whispers in Turin over the last month have suggested that the Frenchman will be sold in the summer.
And now the former Monaco star says he wants to team up with fellow French forward Thierry Henry at Arsenal.
"It would be nice for me to play in England," Trezeguet told The Sun newspaper. "Why not? I have a perfect understanding with Henry.
"Sometimes when we talk, we would love to play together in club football. I'm sure it will happen one day."
The 27-year-old has had an injury plagued season which has allowed summer signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic to become the main man in Turin.
Trezeguet was on the verge of leaving the Delle Alpi last summer as his contract was set to expire in 2006.
A move to Barcelona was already lined up before new boss Fabio Capello insisted that the player be handed a new deal.
Yet a move to Spain could now be back on with alternative reports on Thursday suggesting Valencia are keen.
The current Liga champions have allegedly already contacted Trezeguet’s father, who is also is agent, to make an initial enquiry.

Juventus striker David Trezeguet has dismissed reports that he wants to join Arsenal.
The player was yesterday quoted as saying that he would be keen on a Highbury transfer.
But the former Monaco man insists he has no plans to play alongside French colleague Thierry Henry in the Premiership.
"With regard to my declarations which appeared in The Sun newspaper and then reported by the Italian media, I deny that I spoke to the newspaper," he said.
"Therefore, I did not state that I wanted to go and play for Arsenal. I am at Juventus and I want to remain with the Bianconeri."
Although the forward has today ‘committed’ his future to the Stadio Delle Alpi outfit, whispers continue to suggest that a summer exit is likely.
Juventus are apparently ready to sell the 27-year-old who has rarely played this season because of injury.
Barcelona, the club he almost joined last summer, remain a possible destination even if Arsenal and Valencia could also be keen.

Juventus are allegedly interested in signing Arsenal midfielder Edu at the end of this season.
The Brazilian international is available on a free transfer in the summer and the Delle Alpi outfit are keen.
Transfer guru Luciano Moggi is always looking for ‘Bosman players’ and Edu is a realistic target.
The Bianconeri are attempting to spice up their midfield options given that they have yet to find the perfect partner for Emerson.
Edu, 26, will quit the Highbury outfit once this campaign ends even if Juve will face some competition for his signature.
Spanish champions Valencia seem to be in pole position for him after they almost netted the South American in January.
Inter have also been associated with the central midfielder.

Edu is a great player but I think which ever club gets him, be it Inter, Valencia or Juventus that they will have to remember that he has just come from a League without as much pressure as in La Liga or Serie A and to see that he hasn't been doing that great means that they could ahve at least gone for another Brazillian midfielder EX. Adriano FROM Siena who was a main factor in beating AC Milan last week.

last season, edu was one of the best improved players of the premiership, and along with toure was one of arsenals unsung heros. i dont agree that it is right to say that "he hasn't been doing that great". he's been injured for long periods of this season, and isnt being played by wenger because he doesnt want to be a arsenal player any more. personally i think edu is a great player, and any player who played so well week in week out with vieira, is good enough to play for any team, hopefully edu realises this and realises that valencia are just gonna go bust and have to sell him anyway, and see that if he does join inter, he will only be ANOTHER midfielder to join massimo moratti's shopping list. his best option is to join juve and win trophies

Lilian Thuram is unsure of what the future holds when his present Juventus deal expires in 2006.
The Frenchman is still performing at a high standard for his club but he also significantly celebrated his 33rd birthday in January.
"I still have a year left on my agreement with Juve," said the central defender. "I’ll continue if my legs can carry me. Otherwise I’ll quit."
Thuram, who retired from international football with France after Euro 2004, has been a key figure for the Bianconeri this term.
And he is just five games away from lifting his second Scudetto since joining the Stadio Delle Alpi outfit from Parma.
"This is a very delicate moment of the season for us but we can’t think about the game coming up against Milan," he noted.
"We face Bologna on Sunday first and we know it will be tough and that we can’t afford to make a mistake."
Milan and Juve are currently joint top of the table, but Thuram doesn’t believe an end of season play-off will be required to decide the destiny of the title.
"I don’t think that will happen," he continued. "I believe that the championship will be decided without the need for such a game."
Meanwhile, Thuram is expected to hand the captain’s armband back to Alex Del Piero in Week 34.
The Italian limped out of the 1-0 win over Lazio with a back problem but should be fit to face the Rossoblu at the weekend.
Jonathan Zebina, Emerson and David Trezeguet also took part in light training on Thursday and all could feature in some form against Bologna.

Liverpool are the latest club to be associated with a move for Juventus flop Olivier Kapo.
The free summer signing from Auxerre has struggled to make an impact at the Stadio Delle Alpi, even if he’s not be helped by a number of injury problems.
Juventus are now set to release the French international at the end of this term, with numerous outfits showing an interest.
Fiorentina, Sampdoria and Palermo have all been linked in Italy, while Monaco are also believed to be monitoring his situation.
But Liverpool are allegedly in a good position to sign the winger, as he is keen to link up with friend Djibril Cisse again after their time together a Auxerre.

my only worry is that it seems juve will be getting rid of too many players, in order for juve to compete with the likes of milan + inter surely they need to invest in players rather than sell them. i dont mean record bank-breaking signings but smart and sensible transfers to add a balance and depth to the squad.
at the moment possible departures could be trezeguet, KAPO, tudor, tacchinardi, appiah and mutu. whilst the only players heavily linked to a juve move are kovac and cassano, maybe miguel!
i know that juve have many many players out on loan all over europe, most notably davide chiumiento, but surely juve are only limiting themselves to a smaller first team squad if these rumours are true. a few small but key transfers could make all the difference in juves quest for domestic and european domination next season!!

Gianluca Zambrotta’s representative has ruled out a transfer to Chelsea for the Juventus defender.
The left-back has been paired with the Stamford Bridge outfit recently but the international seems set to stay in Turin.
"I can categorically exclude the possibility that he will leave Juventus," Beppe Bonetto told Spq Radio.
"The Bianconeri just won’t sell him and not even a massive offer would be enough to tempt them to think about it."
Chelsea are keen on a new full-back after they were also heavily linked with Arsenal’s Ashley Cole.
Zambrotta is one of the most highly-rated players in Europe after being converted from a right-sided midfielder by previous boss Marcello Lippi.
Meanwhile, Bonetto also insisted that goalkeeper Angelo Peruzzi, another of his players, would stay at Lazio.
"I’ve spoken to sporting director Gabriele Martino and the club have no intention of doing without him," he added.

Palermo ace Andrea Barzagli has dismissed stories linking him with a move to Juventus.
Some reports had suggested that a deal had basically been agreed between the two clubs for the central defender.
But the Italian international is adamant that he wants to continue his career at the Stadio Renzo Barbera.
"Neither I nor my agent have received any offers from Juventus or any other clubs," said the 24-year-old.
"I was also linked with a lot of teams last summer but I ended up at Palermo, the only side who showed concrete interest in me.
"I decided to accept their offer because President Maurizio Zamparini has always believed in my ability."
Meanwhile, the Sampdoria pair of Francesco Antonioli and Marco Pisano are today being associated with the Delle Alpi outfit.
Juve allegedly want Antonioli to be their new No 2, behind Gigi Buffon, as Antonio Chimenti is set to leave.
They also like the look of the young defender even if he is contracted to Doria until June 2008.
In other Juventus news, the club are set to introduce a new away strip from the start of the new campaign.
They are expected to play in red shirts, white shorts and red socks. Their current second strip is blue and yellow.

There are more stories in Italy on Friday which suggest that Juventus are keen on signing Arsenal midfielder Edu.
The South American is a free agent in the summer and that has interested transfer guru Luciano Moggi.
The director general is always on the lookout for Bosman players and Edu’s quality makes him especially attractive.
Inter and Valencia have also been associated but the Brazilian, 28, seems to be in favour of a Turin switch.
"Juventus are a great side and I’m happy to be of interest to them," the central midfielder is quoted as saying.
"I have already spoken to (international teammate) Emerson about it but I’d prefer to keep that conversation private.
"I am certain that I won’t be playing in England next season and I want to continue my career in Europe."
Whispers suggest that Edu would like a contract worth just under £2m a season but Juve are not ready to offer more than £1.4m.
The Bianconeri are also expected to sign Bayern Munich stopper Robert Kovac on a free at the end of the season.

Juventus are reportedly ready to try and beat Milan to the signature of Alberto Gilardino.
The Parma striker is one of the hottest properties in Serie A and Milan were thought to have almost sealed his signature, despite interest from England with Arsenal and Chelsea both keeping tabs on him.
However, Milan have always denied an agreement is in place and that may allow Juve to try and make a last ditch bid.
Juve were keen on Gilardino last summer, but a move failed to materialise and he stayed at the Ennio Tardini.
The Turin giants are set to let David Trezeguet leave the club this summer and they are scouring Europe for a high-profile replacement and Italian star Gilardino could be the man.
Gilardino himself has recently stated his love for Milan, although Juve could yet sway his opinion.

Stefano Fiore's agent has revealed that Internazionale are now leading the chase for Valencia midfielder.
Fiore has endured a turbulent season in Spain following his switch from Lazio last summer.
He has struggled to hold down a regular place and has become an even less frequent starter since Antonio Lopez assumed control of first-team matters following Claudio Ranieri's departure.
Juventus were reported to be ready to offer him an escape route back to Serie A, but it now appears Inter - coached by Roberto Mancini who managed Fiore at Lazio - are ready to step in.
"At the end of the day Fiore is a player that Mancini wants," Fiore's representative Federico Pastorello stated.
"Valencia are aware that the experience Fiore has had in Spain has come to an end.
"We will look to find a solution that satisfies all parties."
Fiore himself admitted he would jump at the chance of a move to Inter and a reunion with Mancini.
"I have always played well with him and he has faith in me and that always helps," he added.

Arsenal midfielder Edu has admitted that Juventus are one of the clubs interested in signing him.
Football Italia initially reported the story last month and the player has now publicly revealed that Turin could be his next destination.
"A lot of clubs have asked about me and since January my agent has spoken to Real Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia in Spain and Juventus in Italy," he told BBC Sport.
"I've decided to leave Arsenal after the FA Cup Final but I haven't decided which club I'm going to join."
The Brazilian international is a much-wanted figure on the transfer market given that the 26-year-old is available on a free transfer.
And he admits he’s keen to join a club who would be able to guarantee him regular first team football.
"I don't want to go to a club and just be part of the squad, that's not my plan," he underlined.
"Apart from how much I would be playing, it's also about the country and whether my family will be happy that I have to think about.
"But I'm sure of one thing - I want to play always."
Edu could get a regular game at Juventus as the club are looking for a suitable partner for Emerson in central midfield.
And seeing as the two men play together for their country, Edu may opt to join the Delle Alpi outfit in the summer.

Parma have revealed that six clubs across Europe are in the race to sign star striker Alberto Gilardino in the summer.
The Italian international is expected to be sold at the end of the season and there is no lack of interest – despite his £35m asking price.
"He is of interest to at least three Italian clubs and three foreign sides," Parma boss Pietro Carmignani told Radio Italia Network.
Juventus, Inter and Milan are believed to be the Serie A trio who are keen, with many believing the latter are in pole position.
But Carmignani insists that nothing has yet been decided over which shirt Gilardino will be wearing next season.
"Gilardino is a very good player and a real professional who always gives his best," he added.
"Whoever offers the most money will be at an advantage. Could Gilardino stay? Only if a new owner comes in to buy the club."
Foreign interest for Gilardino is probably from Chelsea and Real Madrid, with Arsenal also being associated with the former Piacenza player in the past.
The 23-year-old has stated that he would prefer to stay in Italy with the 2006 World Cup Final on the horizon.

Juventus’ Adrian Mutu has asked the Court of Arbitration for Sport to block Chelsea’s compensation claim against him.
The Stamford Bridge outfit are demanding cash after they sacked the player earlier this season following his positive test for cocaine.
Mutu, who cost the Blues a massive £15.8m from Parma, subsequently joined the Italian outfit in January for nothing in a move that angered the English club.
Chelsea are hoping to net £8m in compensation after they were given permission by the Premier League Appeals Committee to make a claim.
The Swiss-based Court of Arbitration for Sport today said that it had been asked by Mutu to intervene.
"Mutu requests CAS to reverse the determination of the Appeals Committee and to rule that the facts of this case do not give rise to a 'unilateral breach of the contract without just cause' by the player," CAS said in a statement.
The Romanian is currently serving a seven-month world-wide ban but will be eligible to play from May 18.
If Chelsea prove successful in their cash bid, Juventus – rather than the player – would have to pay any fee.
thats retarded, we're not liable its a problem between chelsea and mutu, not juve an chelsea. and anyways, what breach of contract??? chelsea fired mutu so they r the ones breaching contract. even though he was found using drugs, which provides chelsea a loophole to break off mutus contract, mutu has a right to search for a new club and neither juve or mutu should be held responsible. if u ask me its a stupid move by chelsea

Bologna have made a sensational request to exchange Mourad Meghni and Juve’s Adrian Mutu for next season.
“We know that the Juventus directors are very interested in Meghni, explained Rossoblu patron Giuseppe Gazzoni Frascara in the ‘Gazzetta dello Sport’.
“We’ve received several offers from Italy and overseas, so I really can’t hold the boy back in his career if a club is ready to put £6.5m on the table. With this in mind, we could strike a deal with Juventus that includes Mutu. I had already thought about making a move for him in December, but didn’t realise the Bianconeri were also planning the same thing.
Juve shocked everyone in January when they snapped up the Romanian on a free transfer, as he had just been sacked by Chelsea for failing a routine drugs test.
The Stamford Bridge side is taking legal action against the move and the matter will go to the TAS sports tribunal, but Mutu will be free to resume his playing career when his ban expires at the end of this month.
“My dreams of having Mutu in a Bologna jersey are not over yet, as everyone revives their careers at the Stadio Dall’Ara, added Gazzoni Frascara. “Beppe Signori, Roberto Baggio and Gianluca Pagliuca found a new lease of life here and we can help Mutu find himself again.
It is not an entirely impractical idea for Juventus, as Mutu would have difficulty finding space in Turin with Alessandro Del Piero, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, David Trezeguet and a rumoured bid for Parma’s Alberto Gilardino.
Creative midfielder Meghni may be only 19 years old, but he has already earned the nickname ‘Little Zidane’ in his native France and could give Juve some much-needed inspiration in midfield next season.
The inclusion of Mutu on loan for a year would reduce the price-tag considerably and put them at an advantage over the other European clubs vying for his signature.

Olivier Kapo says he is keen to quit Juventus in the summer, with Monaco, Newcastle and Real Betis all possible destinations.
Kapo has made just one Serie A start since moving to Italy from Auxerre last summer and admits he has an important decision to make at the end of the season.
"Should I stay and persevere at Juventus? Has (Juventus Coach) Fabio Capello really got confidence in me? I have my doubts," the attacking midfielder told L'Equipe.
The 24-year-old, who has made 12 substitute appearances but is yet to score for Juventus, explained that Monaco would be his preferred destination.
"Could I return to France on loan? I really appreciate the support I have received from (Monaco Coach) Didier Deschamps," Kapo said. "Getting recognition from a man like that is fantastic.
"He even called up my sister recently. I find that touching. He is very interested in me. But he could change his mind. Joining Monaco would be good, but if it doesn’t work out over there, Newcastle and Real Betis also want me.
"I’m going to have to make a crucial decision. Pavel Nedved tells me to stay and fight for my place at Juve."
Kapo has had his share of injury problems this season, but feels he has not been given the chance to prove himself with the Italian League leaders when fit.
"I sustained an injury on my right thigh against Sampdoria on February 2, the day that I made my first start," Kapo recalled.
"It took me two months to come back. That injury has changed everything. It’s been really difficult.
"Without wanting to offend Capello or my teammates, I think I deserved to play more often. I fight at training and I don’t feel inferior to any of the other players."

Juventus boss Fabio Capello is hoping to have Real Madrid’s Walter Samuel at his disposal next season.
The Turin giants are on the verge of winning their 28th title, but the tactician is keen to strengthen his squad in a bid to also win the Champions’ League in the new campaign.
Although Juve have the best defensive record in Serie A, they lack central defensive options seeing as both Fabio Cannavaro and Lilian Thuram have virtually played throughout the whole season without a break.
Capello wants another stopper and Samuel is believed to be high of his wish-list given their success together in the past.
The Argentine established himself as one of the best defenders in the world while at Roma under the tactician.
However, reports suggest that Real would only release him if Juventus include one of their players who are of interest to them in any negotiations.
The Madrid outfit are believed to be keen on Gigi Buffon, Emerson and Zlatan Ibrahimovic but the Turin club are unlikely to release any of the three.
Meanwhile, Messina’s Alessandro Parisi will take part in Juventus’ end of season tour in Japan.
The left-back, contracted to his current club until 2007, will be given the chance to impress Capello.
Juve, who have been linked with the player for some time, could then decide to make a summer bid for his permanent services.
Teammate Marco Zanchi, who is on loan at Messina from Juventus, is also expected to be involved in the Far East trip.

Montero eager to play in La Liga
MONTEVIDEO, May 17 (Reuters) - Uruguay's hard-tackling captain Paolo Montero recognises his career with Juventus is over and wants to play in Spain before finishing in his homeland with Penarol.
Montero, who joined Juventus from Atalanta in 1996, has made only a handful of appearances in his ninth season with the club and his contract ends in June.
'I think my cycle in Italy has finished,' the red card-prone central defender told Uruguayan media on Tuesday.
'As I haven't played this year, I don't feel comfortable. I haven't had problems with the coach, the players have earned their positions and have won them playing by the rules.
'Hopefully, I will leave with another championship although, by my way of thinking, I wouldn't say that I'm a champion because I haven't played much.'
Juventus are five points clear of AC Milan with two games remaining in Serie A.
Asked where he would like to play next, Montero, 33, replied: 'In Spanish football. I've always liked the way they play and hopefully it can come true.
'I feel good for the moment and I consider that I can play for another couple of years here (in Europe). My dream, as I've always said, is to play for Penarol, but not yet.'
Montero, who began his career with Penarol and has won 56 caps, made a Uruguay comeback at the Copa America last July, two years after announcing his international retirement.
Uruguay have improved greatly since his return and, after a disastrous run of results last year, have climbed to fifth in the South American World Cup qualifying group.
Their next two games are away to Venezuela and Peru in June.
'If we play like we did against Chile and Brazil, we will get the points we need although the luck factor is fundamental,' said Montero, referring to their 1-1 draws in both matches.
'If we don't play well, it doesn't really bother me. The important thing is the points.'

Newcastle are targeting Juventus and France midfielder Olivier Kapo, according to the player himself.
The 24-year-old, who has struggled for playing time with the Italian giants, is reconsidering his future in the face of interest from a number of clubs including, he claims, Graeme Souness' side.
'Newcastle want me, as well as Betis Seville. I am going to have to make a choice,' he told French sports newspaper L'Equipe.
'On the other hand Pavel (Nedved) tells me to fight and stay with Juventus.'
The former Auxerre player, who has nine caps for Les Bleus, also claims Monaco are interested in bringing him back to France.

Paolo Montero has announced this will be his last season at Juventus and admits he’s looking to finish his career abroad.
“I think that my era in Italy has come to an end, said the veteran defender. “I have barely set foot on the field this year and feel ill at ease in this situation.
The arrival of Fabio Cannavaro from Inter in the summer has pushed the 33-year-old on to the bench, as Fabio Capello prefers to stick with his favoured back line.
“I don’t have a problem with Capello, it’s just that my teammates played very well and deserved to start every game. I am happy to end my Serie A career with a Scudetto, though it doesn’t really feel like mine as I didn’t put in too much input.
Montero has been in Italy since 1992, when he joined Atalanta, and has picked up the unenviable statistic as the player with the most red cards in Serie A history. The Uruguayan will be out of contract in the summer and is looking to move abroad.
“I think that I can play for another two years yet and would like to experience La Liga. I have always been intrigued by Spanish football and think I can fit in there. My dream is to end my career at Penarol, the club I started out with, but there is time for that.
Montero spent four seasons with Atalanta before joining Juventus during the 1996-97 campaign. He has notched up 300 Italian League appearances between Serie A and B.

Andrea Barzagli has committed his future to Palermo despite transfer interest from Italian giants Juventus.
The youngster has been heavily associated with the Bianconeri but he’s ready to see out the five-year contract that he signed at the Stadio Barbera last summer.

Barzagli has enjoyed a fine campaign since his move from Chievo Verona at the start of this season.

Juve are looking for some new defensive options as they do lack cover for Lilian Thuram and Fabio Cannavaro.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s agent has announced that Real Madrid put forward a sensational £48m bid for the Juve star this week.
Swedish newspaper Goteborgs-Posten run quotes from the representative in which he confirms that Real placed an official bid for the striker a few days ago.
However, he also noted that Juventus rejected the offer out of hand, as they wish to build their side on his shoulders.
Ibrahimovic has taken to Serie A like a duck to water, already scoring 16 goals and proving a decisive figure in winning their 28th Scudetto.
The Swedish international was signed from Ajax on the final day of the transfer window for £11.5m, though Fabio Capello had been tracking his progress for at least three years and had tried to capture him during his time at Roma.
Over the last 12 months he has gone from strength to strength, taking a starring role for Sweden in the Euro 2004 finals before leading Juve to the Serie A title.
It is this performance – and his clear progress under Capello’s tutelage – that has earned him a remarkable price-tag. Real Madrid paid £48m for another Bianconeri star, Zinedine Zidane, in 2001.
Ibrahimovic is still only 23 years old and has real room for improvement, especially in his disciplinary record, as he was handed a three-match ban for an off the ball incident with Inter’s Ivan Cordoba.

If this IS true, then Juventus are absolute idiots. They could buy anyone with that sort of money...Gillardino, Cassano....

i'm a die-hard juve fan fer years and believe juve shouldn't sell zlatan at ALL!!! he should be pairing either trezeguet or mutu next season and prepare on the assault on the champions league. He's so young and wif so much potential and could become a juve legend. Although he's huge but he;s got an unbelievable good control and dribbling skills. Not to mention incredible flair and vision as well. The onli problem wif him lies wif his arrogance i guess. If juve wanna sell, they should clear "old stock" such as del piero, appiah, kapo and montero. Especially del piero i must say, is realli a "has-been"....he lost his old form which terrorise defenders in the past. He HAS really strugglied in recent years. As fer madrid, STOP buying attackerS!!! YOU should try to recover the form of raul and ronaldo. Sell beckham and bring in michael essien if u can. Also, i don't believe figo should be sold. He's such a classy act. I believe real's this season flop is the lack of a solid hard-tackling defensive midfielder. Futhermore walter samuel looks clumsy and bulky. He was far better at roma.Anyways capello, dun be rash. Juve izzit short of cash.

Italian champions Juventus have warned Real Madrid to forget about making bids for Emerson and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Both players have been linked with moves to the Spanish giants but the Bianconeri insist they will not be sacrificed at any price.
"Turin is not a good place to come and try to strengthen your team," transfer guru Luciano Moggi stated.
"There are no problems with Zlatan or Emerson. They have no desire to leave and they will stay with us."
Real apparently made a £48m bid for the Swede last week, while the Spanish media are convinced that the Brazilian wants a move to La Liga.
"I couldn’t care less about Real," responded Emerson. "I am a Juventus player and I will stay here.
"There really isn’t anything more that I can say," added the summer signing from Roma. "I have a contract with this club and I intend to respect it."
Moggi has also rubbished rumours suggesting that boss Fabio Capello could leave the Delle Alpi after just one year in charge.
"Capello will definitely remain," he stated after the club won their 28th Italian championship. "We wanted him to take us into the future and that is what will occur."
However, the Bianconeri official did confirm that the club would be making squad changes even if no drastic amendments.
"We’ll see but I don’t think we have that many problems to resolve," he stated. "After all, we have the best defensive record in the League and one of the best attacks.
"The average age of our squad is a relatively good one right now and we already have a number of champions on our books."
take that madrid, "I could care less about Madrid", Emerson's words. haha

Juventus have cast doubt on reports which suggest that they will sign Antonio Cassano from Roma in the summer.
The starlet performed brilliantly under then boss Fabio Capello in the capital and there was talk of a reunion in Turin.
But transfer guru Luciano Moggi insists that the player, whose Roma deal expires in 2006, is not a target.
"Cassano is one of the best attacking players in circulation but he won’t come here for two reasons," Moggi told Gr Rai Parlamento.
"The first is that I am absolutely convinced that he will not leave Roma at the end of the season.
"The second is that I don’t see how he can fit into our side given the champions we already have in our squad.
"I can’t see what you can improve on when you already have the best at your disposal."
Meanwhile, Universidad de Chile are interested in signing Juventus striker Marcelo Salas.
The Chilean international has spent the last two seasons on loan with Argentine giants River Plate.

Must mean we really want to keep hold of Trez...
We need a replacement for Nedved, i recommend Darijo Srna of Shakhtar Donetsk, he has really improved amazingly, has excellent vision, a free kick specialist who has scored some really amazing goals. He is the key player in the Shakhtar midfield, but would be keen on a move somewhere else. He plays on the right, which would solve our problems there...

Juventus defender Fabio Cannavaro has dreams of ending his stunning career at hometown club Napoli.
The Italian international captain started his playing days with the Azzurri before moving on to Parma, Inter and now the new Italian champions.
"It is the objective of all Napoletani to wear the Napoli shirt in their career," he told Napolimagazine.com.
"Unfortunately I found myself with the club at the wrong time, just as things started to go badly.
"I hope that the club can pick themselves up quickly. We’ll see what happens and I could go back there in a couple of years."
Cannavaro started his career with the Azzurri, making his Serie A debut in March 1993 in a 4-3 defeat at Juventus.
The now 31-year-old was sold by the San Paolo outfit in 1995 in an attempt to help solve their financial problems.
Napoli are currently in Serie C but may still be promoted to the Second Division this term via the play-offs.

Real Madrid have dismissed claims that they made a £50m bid for Juventus ace Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The Swede’s agent suggested over the weekend that the Spanish giants were prepared to dig deep in order to net the striker over the summer.
But the El Santiago Bernabeu outfit have officially denied the story, insisting they haven’t approached the player, his agent or Juventus.
"Real Madrid denies the information that has been published in different mass media in which there is reference to a supposed offer of 70m Euros for the Swedish forward Ibrahimovic, who currently plays for Juventus," read a statement on the club's official website.
"The club wants to put on record that nobody, neither directly nor indirectly, has established negotiations of any type with the representative, the Italian club or the player."
Ibrahimovic has caught the eye this term after instantly settling since his move from Ajax at the start of the campaign.
He’s netted 16 League goals so far which have been vital towards the Old Lady’s 28th League title.
Ibrahimovic looks set to remain in Italy though after Juventus yesterday confirmed that he was untransferable.
The Bianconeri also insisted that Emerson, who is supposedly of interest to Real Madrid too, will remain in Turin.
Meanwhile, Middlesbrough have again admitted that they are interested in signing Juve’s Stephen Appiah.

Juventus transfer chief Luciano Moggi has again insisted that his club won’t sign Antonio Cassano or Alberto Gilardino.
The Roma and Parma forwards have been associated with the Turin giants but the official has backed the outfit’s current striking options.
"We already have attackers of the highest level," he told the Radio Italia Network on Wednesday.
"Then let us not forget that Adrian Mutu is now available again and he could play from the first minute."
Mutu, whose doping ban expired yesterday, now joins David Trezeguet, Marcelo Zalayeta, Alex Del Piero and Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the Juve ranks.
And Moggi insists the latter two individuals will remain despite speculation suggesting otherwise.
"We have never thought about selling Alex," he added. "He is a champion and you don’t sell champions.
"He is a great player who has given a fundamental contribution to this season’s Scudetto success."
Ibrahimovic has also played a vital role and he’s recently been linked with a £40m move to Real Madrid.
"I have an agreement with Real President Florentino Perez," added Moggi. "We won’t trouble him and he won’t trouble us."
Meanwhile, reports today claim that Moggi has struck a deal with Lecce over Marco Cassetti.
The right-sided player has enjoyed a splendid campaign and may move to the Delle Alpi in a £3m deal.

Alessandro Del Piero has hinted he may consider his options at Juventus unless he is given a more prominent role in the team.
The 30-year-old striker has been frequently replaced by coach Fabio Capello this season and he is hoping that trend ends next time around.
"I've never thought about leaving, but I will have to be given a leading role otherwise I could consider other options," he said.
Del Piero has 13 goals in Serie A en route to landing the Scudetto but has not reserved any special praise for Capello as he believes it is a team game.
"Why would I have to thank him specially?" he added. "I've thanked him, but I've thanked everyone for this win.
"He [Capello] has his merits, but so has everyone who helped us win the Scudetto."

David Trezeguet is the latest Juventus player to insist that a summer move is not on the cards.
The Frenchman has been linked with an exit but maintains that his immediate future is in Turin.
"I can guarantee you that I won’t be moving from here," he said following his two goals in the 4-2 win over Cagliari.
"I play for one of the most prestigious clubs in the world and I do feel as if I owe them something.
"I’ve not been able to contribute in the way I had hoped this season and I’ll make up for that in the new campaign."
Trezeguet has had an injury plagued term but has still managed to net nine League goals in 18 appearances.
The former Monaco man’s pledge to the Old Lady comes just days after Gigi Buffon and Zlatan Ibrahimovic rubbished talk of moves to Real Madrid.
Meanwhile, Trezeguet has also passed opinion on the Alessandro Del Piero – Fabio Capello debate.
"I understand what Del Piero wants, he has the same desire as myself, Ibrahimovic and Marcelo Zalayeta," he continued.
"We are all at the disposal of the Coach and it is up to him to make the decisions he feels are correct."
Del Piero stated on Friday that he wanted to remain at Juve but only if he was allowed to be a protagonist.
Trezeguet added: "Alex is a great and also the captain but I agree with the Coach. Capello can’t guarantee a first team shirt to anybody."

Alessandro Parisi is hoping to sufficiently impress on Juventus’ tour of Japan in order to net himself a move to Turin.

"This is an occasion to live through an extraordinary experience alongside so many great players," he stated.

Valencia have revealed that they have clinched the signing of Arsenal midfielder Edu, and will also appoint Quique Flores as their new manager.
Edu is entitled to a Bosman free move when his contract expires on June 30 having refused to pen a new deal at Highbury.
A host of Spanish and Italian clubs are rumoured to have been monitoring the Brazilian with Real Madrid, Barcelona, Internazionale and Juventus all credited with an interest.
However, at a press conference to confirm the appointment of Javier Subirats as their new director of sport, Valencia revealed they have won the race for his signature, and that the player would sign a five-year deal.
"President (Juan Bautista) Soler has confirmed the signing of Edu, the Arsenal player and Brazil international, who will join the team on the first of July and who will play for the team in the next five seasons," a statement on the club's official website read.
At the same conference, the Primera club also confirmed that Getafe boss Flores would take charge of first-team affairs next season.
Flores, a former Valencia player, has attracted widespread praise for his efforts in keeping Getafe in the top-flight this term in his first major managerial post.
The 40-year-old will return to the Mestalla to work in conjunction with Subirats as the Che attempt to revive their fortunes on the pitch following a disappointing season.
After winning the Spanish title last term, Valencia missed out on UEFA Champions League qualification this time around and have had to make do with a Uefa Cup spot after ending up seventh - their worst finish since 1998.
It seems likely there will be a number of changes to the playing staff this summer as well, as the club look to usher in a new era.

David Trezeguet has pledged his future to Juventus amidst speculation that he could be set for a summer exit.
The prolific Frenchman has endured a season interrupted by injury that saw him make just 18 appearances - netting a credible nine times.
Trezeguet has been quick to quash rumours of a move, joining Gigi Buffon and Zlatan Ibrahimovic in pledging loyalty to the Turin giants.

The talented Italian has intimated that he is keen to remain with the Old Lady but that he would only do so if guaranteed a starting berth.
Whilst Trezeguet sympathizes with his team-mate, it is the opinion of Capello which he believes is ultimately the most important.

The Italian champions were believed to have agreed terms with Nonda back in January but decided not to announce any deal to the media. Gianluigi Buffon's agent Silvano Martina has told skysports.com that his charge is not interested in joining Manchester United, claiming Real Madrid are the only club who could convince his client to leave Juventus.
The Sun speculated over the weekend that The Red Devils were tabling a €50 million bid for the Italy shot-stopper, who is rated as one of the best goalkeepers in the world.
The rumour spread to the Italian media as Sir Alex Ferguson looks to replace Roy Carroll, who is leaving under the Bosman Ruling.
However, Martina has stressed that money would not be the motivating factor behind the Azzurri keeper leaving Juve.
"It's true Juventus have a habit of selling their top players when a proper offer comes in," he told skysports.com. "But I don't think they plan to sell Buffon, at least not for now.
"Anyway, in these situations a crucial role is played by the will of the player and Gigi is fully committed to Juventus, as the Bianconeri are one of the best three clubs in the world."
Martina also added Buffon would only consider a move away from the Italian champions if he had the chance to join Real Madrid.
"Should Buffon one day decide to quit Juventus, that would be only for Real Madrid," Martina explained. "That's why I don't think reports about Manchester United will come to anything real."
The agent also paid tribute to Milan keeper Dida, claiming he and Buffon are the world's best keepers.
"In my opinion, Gigi is the number one in his role, but I also would like to congratulate Dida for his great season.
"Unfortunately for him, Milan lost both the Scudetto and the UEFA Champions League, but he really can't be blamed for that."

Juventus have confirmed that Giorgio Chiellini will be recalled from his loan spell at Fiorentina in the summer.
The youngster is one of the country’s most promising left-backs and he will be rewarded for a stunning season by a return to the Italian giants.
"Chiellini will come back here," stated Bianconeri director Antonio Giraudo following his club’s latest Scudetto success.
Juve bought Chiellini last summer from Livorno, but almost instantly sent him to Fiorentina given that he was blocked by Gianluca Zambrotta in Turin.
Yet boss Fabio Capello is eager for a more competitive squad next term and Chiellini will be a part of it.
The 20-year-old was a key member of the Under-21 side at the start of this term but has ended it with promotion to Marcello Lippi’s full Italy set-up.
Chiellini was joined at the Stadio Artemio Franchi by Juve colleagues Enzo Maresca and Fabrizio Miccoli over the last nine months.
Yet the pair will not be recalled as the Viola are expected to complete their capture after last summer’s co-ownership deals were agreed.
The Tuscan club will pay around £2.5m to keep Maresca, while Miccoli will cost them around £5m.
Meanwhile, whispers today suggest that Igor Tudor will return to Juventus too after he spent the last six months at Siena.
But the Croatian may not remain though, with Sampdoria apparently interested in the central defender.

Juventus and Real Madrid could decide to swap Emerson and Walter Samuel this summer, according to an Italian football agent.
Reports have suggested that the Bianconeri may release the Brazilian in return for the central defender – who worked with boss Fabio Capello at Roma last season.
And now Dario Canovi, a respected football representative, has added more fuel to the fire.
"It’s not a story without foundation," he told Spq Radio. "I really think that it could happen. It would also explain why Juve are looking at certain types of players, like Mozart."
The Reggina player has been associated with the Turin giants for some months and Canovi wouldn’t be surprised if the move occurred.
"His switch to Juventus is probable and very plausible," he added. "As far as I know, their interest in him is very real.
"It is also true that other clubs like Milan like him but I think the Old Lady are on the verge of netting him."
Canovi also suggested that Real Madrid were keen on Shunsuke Nakamura, Mozart’s Reggina teammate.
"There is an interest," he insisted. "It’s an old story as the Spaniards fell in love with him before he moved to the Amaranti."

The Stadio Olimpico side will now have to decide what to do with Cassano as his contract expires in 2006.
The club have already extended the contracts of Vincenzo Montella and Francesco Totti but an agreement with Cassano may be difficult.
The cost of keeping the 23-year-old would be high and it may make more sense to cash in on him, especially as they will now be paying Totti £7.5m-a-season.
It was believed that Juve would offer cash and Shabani Nonda to the Giallorossi but that now looks unlikely.
Reports in Italy today suggest that Nonda has failed a medical and therefore will not complete a summer move to Juve from Monaco.
Bayern Munich stopper Robert Kovac has passed his medical and he is set to be confirmed as a Juve player very soon.
Meanwhile, Olivier Kapo could be heading back to France. The winger has failed to settle in Turin since his move from Auxerre and Monaco are keen on his services.

No, we dont need another CB. Emerson is a key player for us.

Inter are ready to renew their rivalry with Juventus by taking them on in the chase to sign Antonio Cassano.
Reports yesterday suggested that the Bianconeri had made an initial bid for the Roma sensation.
But the Milan giants are ready to complicate matters by tabling a more enticing offer to the capital outfit.
Juve are understood to have offered around £9m, plus Adrian Mutu, for the striker who is only contracted to Roma until 2006.
The Stadio Olimpico side are believed to have turned that down by requesting two players, Mutu and Alessio Tacchinardi, plus £10.5m.
That may allow Inter to hijack Juve’s move on the player who is so desperately wanted by Bianconeri boss Fabio Capello.
Owner Massimo Moratti is allegedly ready to hand over £10m plus two players such as Emre or Giorgios Karagounis.
However, there is also the possibility that Inter may offer Roma the services of Alvaro Recoba.
The Uruguayan, who has also been linked with Sampdoria, is set to leave the San Siro after failing to break into the first team.
The proposed arrival of Recoba would apparently be welcomed by Francesco Totti, who signed a new deal with Roma this week after receiving ‘guarantees’ about summer signings.
Cassano has also been linked with Real Madrid but the Italian international is likely to remain in Serie A.

Gigi Buffon has again reiterated his desire to stay at Juventus, despite interest from Real Madrid and Manchester United.
The goalkeeper has been linked with both European giants but insists he’s already committed his future to his Turin teammates.
"I’m not going to either Real Madrid or Manchester United," he stated. "The conditions are not in place for a move.
"There is a great desire in the Juve changing room to win the Champions’ League and that is what we intend to do next season."
The Bianconeri won the Scudetto this term but didn’t have enough quality in Europe, losing to Liverpool in the quarter-finals.
"In order for a player to be labelled as a champion he must win the Champions’ League, the European Championship and the World Cup," he added.
"It’s not that I don’t have faith in the national side but I think it is easier to win the European Cup.
"What do we need to win it? Not a lot, one or two players," he added. "Antonio Cassano? It’s better if I remain quiet."
The Roma ace has been linked with the Old Lady, with a reported player plus cash bid already being tabled.
But Juve transfer chief Luciano Moggi last night insisted that Juve will continue to win with or without the youngster.
"It won’t be a drama if Cassano doesn’t arrive," he stated. "It is our aim in the next few years to win always.
"Buffon? He wants to stay and we won’t sell him. Case closed."
Meanwhile, Juve won their first game of the Japan tour by beating Yokohama Marinos 1-0 thanks to an Alex Del Piero goal.

Giannachedda snubs Lazio for Juventus contract offer
Lazio midfielder Giuliano Giannichedda is expected to be confirmed a Juventus player before the weekend.
Giannichedda is moving to the Serie A champions in a Bosman transfer after rejecting a new contract offer from Lazio president Claudio Lotito in a tense meeting on Tuesday.
Lazio had offered a two-year deal worth £600,000-a-season, but Giannichedda has turned it down in favour of Juve.
The Italian champs have tabled a two-year deal, with an option of another year, worth £800,000-a-season to the midfielder.
Inter were also in the running, but Mancini’s former pupil preferred to opt for the club coached by Fabio Capello.

Juventus stopper Fabio Cannavaro has told Antonio Cassano to snub a move to Inter in favour of a Turin switch.
The Nerazzurri have joined the Italian champions in the race for the youngster who looks set to leave Roma.
Reports yesterday suggested that the Milan giants were keen admirers but Cannavaro believes his club are in pole position for the talent.
"I can’t say too much otherwise (director general) Luciano Moggi will fine me," smiled the Azzurri captain.
"All that I will say is that I don’t think he will join Inter, who already have Adriano, Obafemi Martins and many more.
"He would face stiff competition for a place at Juventus too, even if there will always be room for a player like him in a team."
Meanwhile, Messina say they are ready to sell Alessandro Parisi to Juventus during the summer.
"Alessandro has been here with us for two years in which he has demonstrated that he has enough quality for Juventus," said owner Pietro Franza.
"I would be more than happy to sell him to the Bianconeri."
The left-back, capped by Italy last season, is currently on tour with the Bianconeri in Japan.

Real Madrid star Guti believes the time has arrived that he leaves the Spanish giants, possibly to join an English or Italian club.
“It is better for everyone if I leave. I am mad because I could have given Real much more than I did. I’m 28, its time I play more, he told Spanish daily AS.
Guti then added he will probably choose a team from outside of his home-country.
“It will be difficult I play with another Spanish club. England fascinates me, but Italy does as well, he said.
Goal.com’s Italian site reports Capello’s Juventus might be willing to get their hands on the out of favor Madrid star.

Emerson has stressed he is happy to stay with Italian champions Juventus despite constant speculation about his future.
The Brazilian is often linked with a move to Real Madrid, along with Arsenal's Patrick Vieira, as he is highly regarded within the corridors of power at El Santiago Bernabeu.
Yet the midfielder is focused on achieving more success with the Bianconeri and taking part in next year's World Cup finals.
"If I was really being followed by Real Madrid, I think the club and I would know it," he told Gazzetta dello Sport.
"There is nothing true as it isn't true that I don't feel well in Turin.
"I live in a good way here so I'm staying at Juve to win the Champions League."
After rejecting a move to Real when at Roma, Emerson is more concerned with wearing Brazil's colours in Germany.
"I want to play in the World Cup because I haven't accepted the injury I had last time," he said in reference to missing out on the 2002 finals with a shoulder problem.
"But I can't forget I'm a Juve player too and I must keep concentration on their targets too.
"We have the possibility to win the Champions League - that is our first target."

Juventus have confirmed the double capture of Giuliano Giannichedda and Robert Kovac.
Both players have arrived on free transfers from Lazio and Bayern Munich respectively.
Midfield dynamo Giannichedda will add some extra bite to Juve's midfield, while Croatian stopper Kovac will look to earn a starting role alongside Fabio Cannavaro at the heart of the Old Lady's defence.
"This has been an extraordinary season for Juventus and we proved throughout the campaign that we were better than Milan," said Juve's director general Luciano Moggi.
"As for next year, the team is already competitive and we have already reinforced the squad with the signing of Kovac and Giannichedda."
However, Juve's summer spending will not be finished with Giannichedda and Kovac. They are being strongly linked with Palermo's Andrea Barzagli, although Walter Samuel of Real Madrid could be an option but only if they allow Emerson to move in the opposite direction.
Moggi did confirm that Juve would no longer be pursuing Monaco's Shabani Nonda - but denied he had failed a medical.
"It isn't true he made medical checks and he failed them," added Moggi.
"We simply looked at him, but after evaluating our attack we think it is complete so we decided to give-up on him. We can't make a forwards' collection.
"We will do only few adjustments."
Moggi again insisted that David Trezeguet would be staying and that was one reason they did not need another forward.
"Trezeguet will stay at Juve and I say it clearly," he said.
"We don't surrender to pressures. We decided to stay with him next season and so David will stay with us next season.
"Our attack will be practically the same, with the addition of [Adrian] Mutu.
"If anything I could take in consideration few proposals about Marcelo Zalayeta, maybe a loan."

Italian champions Juventus have made the first steps in trying to prize away Roma star Antonio Cassano.
The Bianconeri had originally planned to offer Shabani Nonda and £9 million for the player, but there is speculation that Nonda will not complete a move to Juventus after failing a medical this week.
Instead, the Turin giants will now offer Adrian Mutu plus the £9 million cash component for the player whose contract expires next season.
Both players are open to the move, with Mutu having voiced a desire to move to the capital when first sacked by Chelsea last year.
It is now up to Roma directors to give consent to any such proposal. However, the club may delay its decision until a new coach has been appointed.
Director general Luciano Moggi is said to have met with Giallorossi chief operating officer Rosella Sensi to commence the negotiations.

Gravesen is good but intil you sign a world class defensive midfielder then Madrid are not going places. Mascherano would be the perfect addition to your squad. Madrid need to stop buying pointless Galactico's and concentrate on strengthening their squad where it matters. They can also sell washed-up players like Carlos and Figo.

And Figo is almost sold, and Carlos has still some years ahead, he's still in top physical conditions.....much like your captain.

Riiiight, better than Emerson? Must be why hes worth less than 10% of Emersons transfer price...Also must be why Real still want Emerson?
Carlos is overrated, he leaves too many holes.

Gravesen world class? Better than Emerson? Neither of those statements are true :silly: . Even Cambiasso is better than Gravesen you should never have sold him....although I can only thank you for doing so because he has been the best defensive midfielder in Italy this year.
Carlos is defensively so naive. I wouldn't have him anywhere near the top of a list of the top left backs. He leaves so many gaps like davor said. It is time you signed somebody who can make the runs but still defend. There is now a perfect opportunity to sign that guy. Step forward Asley Cole - Real Madrid shouldn't miss this chance.

ok fool listen 2 reason please. gravesen - everton, emerson - roma. gravesen is a GOOD player whereas emerson is a none stop influential power on the football field who is 1 of the players who won juve lo scudetto. u cud ask any manager in the WORLD who they'd rather have and 100% of the time the answer WILL be emerson. he is world class, gravesen is only good in spain as he is one of the only players willing to go all out, he is a powerhouse in midfield, but will NEVER be world class!
also guti may be good but he is leaving this summer for approx $15m an roberto carlos is one of the most over-rated overpaid players in the world, i once read that his free-kicks in a season on hit the target 30something% of the time. one word "crap"
