You have a screwed up admin, your squad is depleted and its been proven it cannot function without a fully functioning Niko, things arent improving for Dinamo, Hajduk will rule for a while yet.

Modric is good, probably the best midfielder in the HNL this season, but its likely he may not return to dinamo, hes had a lot of external interest, from CSKA Moscow.

we lose all the players who become " QUALITY FIRST TEAM PLAYERS" which makes us look for replacements which can never be the same so eventually the HNL.1 will be rejects unless reform happens like in A-League which is getting quality players like "THE PLAYER WHICH WAS GOING TO GO IN TO THE MLS DRAFT AS DRAFT PICK #1"
thats a big thing for a league which was SEMI-PRO untill the nsl was closed and A_LEAGUE WAS FORMED.

no man i mean RE-FORM as in new setup like teams all re-aply for NEW HNL.1 and say best 12 in finances and supporters get the 12 plays there for we should never have empty stadiums and try and keep the Srna's and Modric's in HNL.1 longer than 20 years of age.
lol. but not like the of communism rule we had where it was ilegal to move abroad be for 28yrs old. that was too strong of rule.

Kranjcar strengthens Hajduk claim
Friday, 25 February 2005
By Elvir Islamovic
The Croatian First League restarts on Saturday and leaders HNK Hajduk Split have been busy during the winter break trying to ensure they retain their advantage.
Major signing
Two points clear of second-placed HNK Rijeka at the halfway stage, Blaz Sliškovic's side are overwhelming favourites to defend the title they won last year - not least because of their new-look midfield. Hajduk have signed Croatian football's brightest prospect, Niko Kranjcar, from rivals NK Dinamo Zagreb, and the 20-year-old will team up with fellow international Ivan Leko, another new arrival from Spain's Málaga CF. Both men shone in a recent friendly victory against Hungarian side Vasas SC.
Desperate Dinamo
The loss of Kranjcar, whose father is the national team coach, comes at a difficult time for Dinamo Zagreb. The capital club have endured their worst opening to a campaign since Croatian independence, currently lying seventh in the 12-team table, eight points behind Hajduk. In a bid to catch the leaders, they have re-signed Macedonian international Goce Sedloski after a six-month spell in Japanese football. Dinamo will also hope star man Eduardo da Silva can rediscover his form to help relieve the pressure.
’High ambitions’
Like Hajduk, Rijeka had a good winter, finding a partner for veteran forward Tomislav Erceg, their eleven-goal top scorer. He will have Romanian Dumitru Mitu for company for the remainder of the season, Mitu having arrived from Greek giants Panathinaikos FC. "Rijeka have a quality team this season, high ambitions, and so winning the league is not just a dream," said the club's sporting director Mladen Romic.
Blaževic is back
Meanwhile, NK Varteks, who are two points behind Rijeka in third spot, will finally have the full attentions of their 70-year-old coach Miroslav Blaževic, who has recovered from the effects of surgery for prostate cancer and the rigours of running for president of Croatia. Not surprisingly, the team lost their way towards the end of 2004, but have reinforced by signing striker Zoran Zekic from Dinamo and defender Ivan Radeljic from NK Inter Zaprešic.
Tight contest
With only nine points between the top eight sides, it promises to be a tremendous battle for European qualification. Inter, NK Osijek, NK Slaven Koprivnica, NK Kamen Ingrad and even NK Zagreb will be targeting a top-six finish before the league splits into championship and relegation pools after three rounds of the spring season. To that end, Zagreb have landed Brazilian forward Roniello on loan from Bosnia-Herzegovina's NK Posušje.
Relegation fodder
Finally, it will take a Herculean effort for NK Medimurje to avoid relegation, the bottom team having collected just nine points from their opening 18 games. New coach Predrag Juric is the man charged with saving the club, who have NK Pula 1856 and NK Zadar hovering above them in the danger zone.

Top teams slip up in Croatia
Monday, 28 February 2005
By Elvir Islamovic
The Croatian First League resumed on Saturday despite recent extreme weather which had put some ties in doubt. All the scheduled matches went ahead and the round threw up some big surprises.
Hajduk recruits
HNK Hajduk Split had made good use of the winter break, buying Croatian international midfield players Niko KranjÄ?ar and Ivan Leko - so they looked impressive on paper. But their strengthened squad failed to live up to expectations, drawing 2-2 away to NK Osijek.
Score draw
Hajduk took the lead through Hrvoje Velic but then found themselves a goal behind before Tomislav Bušic pulled them back on level terms. Osijek defender Igor Osotpanj was sent off with 30 minutes left, but Blaz Sliškovic's team could not take advantage.
Rusty Rijeka
Second-placed HNK Rijeka also made a stuttering restart with a disappointing home draw against NK Pula 1856 – all the more surprising given the month they had to prepare themselves for the championship run-in.
Zagreb shock
The biggest upset of the day, however, was NK Zagreb's 2-1 triumph at NK Dinamo Zagreb in a hard-fought derby match. Dinamo had endured a dismal winter, the biggest setback being KranjÄ?ar's departure for Hajduk while another quality midfielder, Jasmin Agic, left for South Korea.
Low morale
Morale already looked low and Saturday was yet another blow. Zagreb went two up through Sandro Klic and Rajko Vidovic, and while Dinamo forward Goran Ljubojevic netted a late consolation, it was an unconvincing performance overall.
Dinamo 'disaster'
Dinamo coach Ilija Loncarevic did not hold back: "It was a disaster. I don't like to use that word for football reasons, but this game was among the worst of my career." He faces a tough task to lift his team for the challenge ahead.
Zekic strike
NK Inter Zaprešic shocked NK Varteks away from home, the winning goal scored by Zoran Zekic, a happy debut for the striker signed from Dinamo. Varteks coach Miroslav Blaževic saw his team drop to fourth.
Honours even
This could be one of the most open title races in years. Hajduk have not dominated and Dinamo are languishing in eighth place, as opposed to previous seasons characterised by a two-horse race between the two giants. Spring in Croatia could hold many surprises.

Croatian First League leaders HNK Hajduk Split remain on course for a domestic double after beating NK Zagreb 2-1 on aggregate to reach the Croatian Cup semi-finals. Trailing 1-0 from the first leg in Zagreb, Hajduk scored twice in the last 15 minutes of the return through Ivan Leko and Hrvoje Vejic, the latter's goal coming deep into added time. Meanwhile, NK Osijek played out a goalless draw with NK Pula 1856 in the first leg of their last-eight tie.

Cibalia 4-0 Novalja: VinkovÄ?ani korak do povratka u 1. HNL

Hadjuk win title in style
HNK Hadjuk Split defeated NK Varteks 6-0 on Saturday to clinch the Croatian title on the final day of the season. After the match, Hajduk sports director and interim coach Igor Stimac announced that Varteks coach Miroslav Blazevic would be taking charge of Hajduk next season.
'Delighted'
"I am delighted, but I would be happier if we managed to play like this in some other matches this season," Stimac said. "We have won our second championship title in a row and we have confirmed our expectations."
Sixth title
Hajduk shrugged off the disappointment of losing Wednesday's Croatia Cup final to HNK Rijeka by easily collecting the win they needed to seal the title. The celebrations started early as Hajduk roared into a 4-0 first-half lead thanks to goals from Hrvoje Vejic, Bulend Biscevic, Tomislav Busic and Frane Cacic. Krunoslav Lovrek and Niko Kranjcar added two more after the interval to make sure of Hajduk's sixth title since Croatia gained independence from the former Yugoslavia in 1991.
Inter draw
NK Inter Zaprešic, who went into the final round with an outside chance of winning the league, were forced to settle for second place after being held to a 3-3 draw by Rijeka, who battled back from 3-1 down to earn a point.
Zadar down
NK Zadar have been relegated after failing to pick up the victory they needed in the final round. In fact, their match against NK Dinamo Zagreb on Saturday was called off after only 62 minutes following the dismissal of four Zadar players. Each team must have at least eight players on the pitch for the match to continue, but the result was already beyond doubt when the proceedings were brought to a halt with Dinamo leading 7-0.
Cibalia promoted
There were plenty of goals throughout the league on Saturday as the season ended with a bang. NK Zagreb were convincing 7-1 winners against NK Slaven Belupo in the Championship Play-offs, while in the Relegation Play-offs as well as Dinamo's seven-goal haul, NK Medjimurje and NK Osijek drew 2-2 and NK Kamen Ingrad and NK Pula 1856 drew 1-1. NK Cibalia have been promoted back to the top flight after one season out of the First League.
