What does need to change in REAL?

I know i am going to cause a lot of debates with this one.

I will start with the team management. First of all i welcome Sachi and i wish that he is going to be involved in more than just transfers. i hope that he will get involved in the way we train, managing players, etc. this will bring more discipline.

In terms of players:

Defense
If Woody is a fast player, then we don't need anyone else. We have Selgado, Samuel, Woody/helguera, RC. The Pavons are descent as substitutes.

Attack

We are fine. We have 4 of among best forwards/strikers in the world.

Miedfield

This is where we need most changes:

If I could, i would let Becham go, but i know this is not possible, so this is what i would do:

- Get e good DM (van Bommel, Mascherano, etc).
- Replace ZZ. It is sad but he is getting old and he is not performing consistently. he can still play time to time or substituted until 20, but we need a good playmaker to be able to take his role, if ZZ is not performing. I don't know who would be best and available for that role, but Toti crossed my mind now.
- Right winger. If Robinho is coming, than it is perfect.
- Left wing. Give more minutes to Solari. He is a good left winger.

i know that this is going to cause a lot of controversials, but what i think is that ZZ and Figo need to be replaced. With that an a new DM, it means that the whole miedfield needs to get renewed.
Now that i am writing this, i realize that it is not possible to do this in the winter market, and that SAD BUT TRUE (IMO)
we won't be able to win anything this year

The problem with real right now is the whole team. first of all zidane is a true n 10. by that I mean he should play right after the center forward(s). unfortunatly, football has changed, axial midfelder has been substituted for 2 winger midfielders(false midfielder) and we have now zidane and figo as winger midfielders. secondly, there is a need for a strong defence midfielder makellele type a recuperator, so zidane and figo don't have to go back all the way deep into theire defence. because at the end of the first half they are already tired. third, beckam is not a DM. he should playing as a winger. and finally, I agree with you in one point: age plays a role here. need to bring younger players to the team.

i tink they need to bench raul ronaldo zidane figo helguera. n put on morientes owen celades pavon solari. juz cos they tink they r galacticos doesnt mean they dunt try, plus the first team is like guaranteed to play, n the second team is sittin on the bench eatin icecreams, plus the second team will play their hearts out cos they dunt get to play so often.

Get a true DM.
Get Woody back.
Get Robinho.
Get a new coach.
Rotate players.

There's no one marking in the midfield, let's face it, our midfielders don't like to get dirty, we need a Makelele or a Gattuso, someone with balls.

It's a fact, Helguera and Samuel can't play together, is a disaster! Both have the same style of playing, both are slow, we need Woody back to cover Samuel's weak points, of get a new, pacey defender.

Robinho is a MUST, Real's game is too predictable, everything is throught the centre and too horizontal, they need to play the sides, 'verticalize' the game, and someone speedy and with the surprise factor.

Remon is not a genious, and we need REAL tactics....intelligent formations, etc.

There are talented players in the bench which are not being given the chance, Owen, Solari and Moro are amongst them, but not only them, Javi Garcia, Soldado, Arbeloa, and many other youngsters are eager to play, but the coach is not rotating the players properly.

Perez have to open the eyes and wake up to the real world, he can't be buying players around just because of their pretty face, he must make the transfers according to the needs of the team.

I know there are many changes, but I think if they're implemented, the team could lift the performance and be real contestants to important competitions such Champions League or La Liga.
