Yeah, exactly. I've had a defeat shoved down my throat enough times in the past, so let me just gloat for once in my life. Well actually it will be many times more still...

MarieL, I have to give you and Lazio props for the game. You totally deserve it. We, Roma, played shit and Del Neri is getting on my nerves lately. I am also a fan of Di Canio. Too bad he is a Laziale but the guy is cool. I love his pride for his own club. I wish many players woudl have that for their respective clubs. I will be back and post more about it. Congrats Lazio, hopefully the next one will be ours.

Well thanks. Di Canio's a tifoso since he was a young boy and scoring in the derby again after 16 years... Perfect! Totti's fake loyalty is nothing compared to Paolo's love for his club. He sure knows who Di Canio is now...
I have a feeling this will be the start of a new era in the city of Rome. Real football again in the best derby in the world.
congrats paula, lazio truly played with their heart, particularly di Canio. Del Neri is a pr*ck... and totti should take a page out of di canio's book, even if he's nothing but a hooligan :ronaldo:

MarieL, I said that Di Canio is cool, but please, do not come back with "Totti's fake loyalty" because it's not true and it just starts fights.

Fine, fine. No more talk about Tottina...
PopA, who are you calling a hooligan?
Del Neri really seems like... well a sissy. Quote:“I always say football teams have to be aggressive, but I think Lazio went overboard in their attacks on Totti and towards the end the atmosphere inevitably degenerated. At times it looked more like a rugby match. Hello? This was a match between men, a heated derby, most important match in the world for both teams, what do you expect? And Totti wasn't attacked any more than usual.

Why do you insist MarieL? You can dislike me like I really and totally dislike you, yet, try to have some respect.

What Baldini and Del Neri say to me has no sense as in THEY LOST and so all they say is no good. I am really worried about Roma. Baldini is an idiot and Del Neri thinks he coaches Chievo. I thought he coudl do better but it seems that lately he gone totally nuts.

PopA, Lucarelli is a communist yet no one ever says that about him as a negative thing. Di Canio can be what he wants. If you think that his salute "thingy" was about politics you are wrong. If he is a fascist he has no need to hide it and yet he said that there was no political harm in his cheering.
MarieL, maybe you do not notice but you provoke us Roma Fans by calling Totti Tottina.

Sorry, I kinda tend to forget his real name. Too much talking to laziali.
But you know, that post was the smartest post you've ever made!
well then, pardon me for my beliefs, but to be honest, as a person of diverse cultural background, one of the things that first attracted me to roma as a club was their history and ideals... ahh i can't explain right now, i'm watching pulp fiction

Are you for real MarieL?
PopA, Roma's beliefs? Well I can tell you that all teams have both political sides so you shoudl like the team for how they play and how you feel about them. Forget politics they have nothing to do with the CALCIO!

Are you for real MarieL?
Yeah... Well I do remember your captain's name, the ending just comes sort of au naturel.
That was smart post as well btw. ;)
PopA, do you think roma doesn't have fascist supporters? Well they do. And whether you're talking about Laziali or romanisti the fascists are mainly the ultras, not the "normal" fans.
Oh and Italian fascism isn't the same as nazism. Just making it clear, doesn't mean I wouldn't hate the ideology, coz I really do.
But football and politics shouldn't mix. Do you think I would be Laziale if I had listened to all the crap the media had to say about us? I hate the racist supporters as much as any football fan on earth, doesn't stop me from loving the team.
sorry for my comment on di canio then, if that's what you wanted to hear in the first place.
But just know that there are reasons i dislike juventus, despite them playing great football over the years - same as you dislike roma and I dislike lazio (even though both teams have played "beautiful" football at one time or another)...
to me, it's not just how the teams play, that would be too shallow. It's who you identify with personally, how the team carries itself, and the spirit it represents. My examples: Barca over R. Madrid, Man Utd over Arsenal and Chelski, Ajax over PSV.....
you understand what I mean? I never meant to insult anyone, I get along fine with most people here. But I'm just saying that to me supporting a football thing is not only aesthetic, but cultural identification... personal
sorry if i offended you paula, because i regard you as a nice person
same to you itaboy

No no, you didn't offend me PopA.
Lazio kind of grew on me, 1st I was just into Nesta and then I started to follow the results and before I knew it I was like obsessed... So I didn't just choose a team because of their playing style or something either, I didn't just one day decide I'm gonna be a laziale. I know it's personal, supporting a team... But the laziali I've met on the internet are like the greatest people I know, so the image other people seem to have about Lazio and laziali just hurts..
Okay I'm gonna shut up now, this is the roma forum.
yeah to each person his reason for following and playing........ personally i started playing because i was overweight and my father (a doctor) forced me to... this was around summer 97... but i didn't enjoy it as it was a forced thing...
around may 98, after quitting "playing" :bald:, I saw a highlight reel with Batigol and la fiore... I picked up FIFA 98 on the nintendo 64, and took argentina and Italy over and over to WC glory....
i then began playing properly in the year 2000, on my own account, and followed Bati to Roma... the rest is just simply history
