Bayern to recall Lahm from Stuttgart
FRANKFURT, Dec 20 (Reuters) - Bayern Munich plan to recall highly regarded full-back Philipp Lahm from Bundesliga rivals VfB Stuttgart, Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge confirmed.
'We'll get Philipp Lahm back from Stuttgart, and he'll definitely strengthen us at left-back,' Rummenigge told the club's website in reply to a question about signings for next season.
Lahm, 21, has been playing on loan at Stuttgart for the past two seasons. He broke into the German national team in time for Euro 2004 and has been a fixture in the side under Juergen Klinsmann.
