View Full Version : Robinho?

Robinho looks almost certain to join Real next summer. I was just wondering though how will you accomodate him? It seems to me that he is being a bit underestimated by some people. The guy is the next Pele, he is going to take La Liga by storm. If you were thinking of loaning him out to a smaller club then think again because he will almost put them into the hunt for the title, he is that good. I don't know if any of you have seen his pedaladas but when he played for Brazil he got the biggest cheer of the night and terrorized his opponents more in 17 minutes than the likes of Ronaldo had in the whole game. He has it all, skill, technique, vision and great goalscoring ability.
Where will he play for Real? You are going to be left with a bit of a dilemma as you have two players who by divine right are practically undroppable in Ronaldo and Raul as well as Owen who is shining for you. If you ask me it is another bad move by Real who should have let this talent stay at Santos for another year.
I wonder if Real will be able to be a force again next season. If they sign two good defensive midfielders then maybe so. Also they should get rid of Beckham who contributes very little to the team.
Real with all of their talent have a bright future but they need to build it on solid foundations rather than just pure reputations.

The answer to your question is pretty sad, but *almost* true, Figo will probably leave when the season ends, so he'll play in that same spot that Figo is playing in right now.
About his talents -many btw- he is great, he is Galactico material -actually since he was 17- if he comes he'll be a huge boost to the team, with him and a defensive mid (and a centreback, or with Woody recovered) Real will once again be the force it used to be, if Perez makes the right moves we will be unstoppable next season.
About the loan, is more likely that Real -if buy him- will buy him in this transfer window (because of the competition) and will loan him to Benfica until the next season, that could be good for two reasons:
1.Benfica could represent a trampoline to him, which will adapt him to European football and demands.
2.Perez will partially hold his policy of not transfering any player at mid-season.

So Robinho will play on the wing? OK, I knew he could play there, but looks better as a forward if you ask me. It is a good move in a few ways as he is so talented, but if Real were looking for young talent Mascherano would have been a better option. It seems to me Leon that we both support clubs whose managements don't often make the right decisions ;) .

Sad, but true......
I think Robinho will play there, there's no way he'll bench either Raul or Ronaldo, but he can show all his potential from that spot, just like Figo, he'll have many chances to set foot on the box.
And about Masherano Real's directives had been talking about him as a really talented lad, but I don't think he'll be signed this January, and if we don't, probably someone will......but if he's not signed it'll be 99% odds to see him in Real next season.

But with Mascherano you will have to look out for other clubs. No offence but with every year that goes without Real winning the CL they become less and less of an attractive destination. Teams such as Deportivo and Juve are both interested in him and you may end up missing out.

It doesn't matter how disgraceful this last two seasons had been to Real, going to Real is every player's dream. I'm not saying Masherano will choose Real over Juve or any other team, I'm just saying Real Madrid is always an atractive destination.....

Chelsea is behind him as well, but he hasn't signed with anyone yet. And he said he prefer Real over any other team.

They already do man. You can not field more than 3, but you can have them in the team. Someone between Carlos Samuel and Ronaldo got to get the EU passport.

Carlos has double nationality, he became a Spain citizen few days ago, and every team in La Liga can have 3 foreign players, in the bench or in the field, you can have 100 in your team but you can't dress them all. The problem is with Ronaldo, Samuel and Solari.

I said 3 players in the field or in the bench.

I think Real Madrid wanted to get rid of Solari a couple of seasons ago, but for a move to be made, there has to be an agreement between both clubs and the player, and Solari didn't want to go, but I think he's a bit frustrated by now -and he's right to be- he's given the chance very seldom, and when he does get it he does good, but in the next match he's in the bench again. In any other club with better management he would be starter.
