Panathinaikos and its supporters showed once again their human face and that is a true european club. Some days after our game against Arsenal in Athens we received a letter from Mr. Uwe Hofmann, a German businessman and an Arsenal supporter.
Mr. Hofmann wrote that he travelled to Athens for the game between the two sides but somebody stolen his banner that he carries in every Arsenal match he attends. After that incident, Mr. Vassilis Parthenopoulos, Director of Marketing and Communications, along with some of the Panathinaikos supporters clubs tried and found the stolen banner.
Mr. Parthenopoulos returned it to Mr. Hofmann who send back a new letter, thanking Panathinaikos for everything the club had done for him. ALso Mr. Hofmann released the story to the German Media.
