Firstly, a left back to cover Carlos. Ashley Cole from Arsenal or Zambrotta frm Juve. Philip Lahm from Bayern at end of season maybe?
Also, maybe Miguel from Benfica to cover the right flank in the absence of figo or salgado.
Next, Robinho (as already planned) and most importantly, a holding midfielder! Steven Gerrard, Pedretti or Mascherano.

[B]Inter Milan to make swap bid for Real Madrid's Figo
tribalfootball.com - December 7,

Inter Milan are being linked with a sensational swap bid for Real Madrid ace Luis Figo.
Well aware that Real have so far not made any sign of offering the Portuguese star a new contract, Inter supremo Massimo Moratti is ready to pounce for Figo ahead of the summer transfer window.

Controcampo says Moratti has discussed with his fellow directors about offering midfielders Cristiano Zanetti and Edgar Davids to Real Madrid in exchange for 32 year-old Figo, who is entering the final 18 months of his current contract.

If Real fail to offer him a new contract extension, Figo is also expected to attract concrete offers from Premiership giants Manchester United and Liverpool.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has been a long-time admirer of Figo's and is convinced his form this season shows he still has at least two years of top football left in his ageing legs.

Liverpool's Spanish manager Rafa Benitez is also keen, as he sees Figo as the man to succeed an underperforming Harry Kewell in his midfield.

Lauren on his way to Madrid
11/12/2004

Lauren will sign for Real Madrid when the transfer window opens in January, according to The Sun.

The Sun quotes Real president Florentino Perez as saying Lauren has already signed a deal for next season.

The Cameroon's current deal runs out in the summer.

Perez said: "Lauren will play for Real Madrid next season because his contract will expire. We have him signed."

Meanwhile Brazilian wonder Edu is being linked a move to Barcelona after stalling on signing a new deal at Highbury.

The 26-year-old midfielder: "But I'm very happy with the interest from Barca. They're playing very well and can win everything this year.

"I know Ronaldinho and he's the world's best player at the moment. It'd be magnificent to play alongside him."

Robinho is a must
Gerrard
Mascherano-unnecessary . We have nearly reach the foreign player quota .
Gerrard-At first , seems like a good signing . However , recently he has been performing superbly . He must very damn expensive . We have better option .
De La Rossi - Roma is not in good financial position . He is a very good DM , as good as Gerrard . Left footed .

Zambrotta- Gerrard already becomes too expensive . For the same amoount of money , we can get a better player , who can play at any midfield position , as well as left/right wing back/defender . Very useful player , can play either side , attack excellently and defend excellently , good in the air , fast . Most importantly , he can be considered as a Galactico .
