I just found that the word "hella" is a northern california word and that most people in the rest of the US dont know what it means or they dont use it. I was talking to my cousins from New York and i kept saying hella and there like "what the ***k does that mean". Then they said that no one says that on the east coast. I looked the word up on urban dictionary and it says mostly people in northern cali use it. Have u guys heard of it or use it?

It sort of means "more than" much like and exageration. But you're right, I hear Nor Cal people use it mor often, it's their way of being cool.

yeah, im from the bay area and it was just always around, i've been using it since i can remember. Its used like "That girl is hella fine" or "This weed is hella good". It's not really our way of trying to be cool its just used like an every day word. I always thought that "hella" was a universal world and not just a bay area word
