I mean, do you really really love your team that much?
I see many people here and in the non-digital-world, that curse anything or anyone that is not for their team.

Is it really necessary to be that fanatical? Do you miss meals when your team loses?

I'm a fan of the sport, but no one particular team, per se. If I can play, I do. If I can watch a match, I do. I don't feel like I have to do anything.
Do you?

i do get very depressed when my team looses, and they loose alot :silly:

but its not like i don t eat and i stop doing things because Lazio this or Lazio that. i always hold my jersey up high no matter what.

u dont know what ur missing at Ese, the passion for a team is unique and incredible its a never ending love. if u grow the lazialita i grew for Lazio for any team, u would learn to love the game more, ofcourse focusing on one area more than in general.!

its a passion u build, god u got me inspired!

FORZA LAZIO PER SEMPRE!

I don't know. I understand passion and fanaticism, but it seems to me that there are more important things in life to be passionate about.

Sure, one can be passionate about food :).
Maybe even reading, teaching, saving lives, one's family, making money, etc., etc., etc.

It seems though that only sports fanatics are die-hard and are willing to rumble with fans of the other team. Having fun is one thing, but getting carried away is another.

I guess I'm bit of a fanatic since Lazio's performance does effect my mood but I would never lose my appetite (that I never lose :silly: ) or screw up exams because of it. And even if I wasn't a girl I still would never fight with anyone because of football, people who do that don't do that coz of the game either, they just want to fight.
And Leon, don't even try. We all know you don't even know when your team's playing and against who. :p

Do any of you paint your face with the team's colors?

To be honest with you, football is a sport and should be taken as such. I love, and I mean LOVE the calcio, yet if Roma loses I will feel sad but not depressed like some people, because I am always looking ahead for the next games and hopefully do better. I sometimes skip school for soccer games. I actually cry and fell hella shitty like DEPRESSEd only when Italy loses. I recall in 1994 when we lost in the final that I cried for a week. I was like 11, but I was hella sad! :)

I cried when Italy lost the final in 2000, but now I just don't care about the NT anymore. Not at all!

Leon, I was juuuust kidding! And don't let your imagination run wild... Don't like mud.

I think i am a fanatic. When America got eliminated last year i became physically ill and like stated above i lost my appetite. When Mexico got eliminated in the world cup i also lost my appetie and i got really depressed and thats why i am eternally boycotting the MLS.

coming up to the Euro 2000 final(i was 12)the night before i couldnt sleep at all. When Delvecchio scored the first goal i was jumping up and down waving my Italian flag and went out in the street waving it. When Trezeguet scored the winner in ET the next 4 days i couldnt sleep,i ate less and was always upset. Finally my dad told me a story bout 1970 WC when Italy lost to Brazil and how he was depressed and knew where i was coming from. I finally cheered up about a week later but could not bare to watch any French players.

Enough with the sarcasm Itaboy. We have a mutual dislike for one another, let's just leave it at that. ;)
