I feel you man, im going through the same thing. I dont know weather i should get an I-pod or an mp3 player. I think im leaning towards the mp3 player but if u have the money than definiantly get the I-pod.

What makes you a fan of the iPod?
Do you think the cost is justified? Is it worth it to you?

I have a RioVolt, is not as fancy as the iPod, but certainly plays mp3, but if you have the money go for the iPod, I know that's what I would do.....

i got an ipod...i think its the best you can get! its better than the iriver because i think radio is useless...theres nothing good but you can use your ipod for many things like...an awake-morning, an transortable hard drive an electric calendar a repertory for phone numbers ...this is the best you can get...so you have to pay for!!

iPod (http://www.apple.com/ipod/)

iPod — available in 20GB and 40GB models for $299 and $399, respectively — continues its stand as the archetypal digital music player for Mac and Windows.

iPod mini (http://www.apple.com/ipodmini/)
Apple engineers squeezed all the best features of iPod into a case weighing just 3.6 ounces and smaller than most cell phones(1). iPod mini features an anodized aluminium case that resists stains and scratches. The case weighs practically nothing, but protects iPod mini in your pocket, purse or backpack. Recessed in the case to keep its surface pristine wherever you lay it, the 1.67 inch (diagonal) backlit screen displays full song names and more. iPod mini lasts up to 8 hours on a single battery charge(2) and like its (slightly) bigger brothers, iPod mini gives you up to 25 minutes of skip protection.
