Our clubs qualifiers

We have three teams this year representing us in Europe. Zvezda have been placed in group one of qualifying and have to travel to the faroe islands.. Partizan will take its first steps to glory in Malta for the Uefa Cup. :D, and Nparedak will play JK Tulevik Viljandi, in their qualifying match for the Uefa Cup. :D

Zvizda's glory days are long gone, they ended the day Prosinecki left. He won you the CL, so really, they were his glory days, the rest of them were just there for the ride ;)

Savicevic was good yes, but no Robert, not on his best and especially not that season. Pancev and Mihajlovic are a joke.

Why won't you admit that he was the reason you won, just because he's a Croat. What's stonger for you, the love of your team, or the hatred of Croats?

Prosinecki is only croat I respect because he did not "change" due to changes in country as others did.
But he did not win it.
Prosinecki what about that game for Kresimir Cosic, where all former yugo basket players played except for croatians who did not want to play, regardlles of fact that Kresa was CXroat

Are you kidding me? You're using the term changed out of place.

Let me tell you something Delija, MOST of the Croats always stayed the same, meaning we were Croats. We never considered ourselves to be Yugoslavs, and always considered ourselves to be forced into something we didn't want.

By the say you said that, it seems like you really think that we were all one big happy family, and we all loved tito and we all loved Yugoslavia.

And soccerchick, no one player cannot win all the games for you, BUT, but but but if you take certain players off certain teams, those teams won't win anymore.

Prosinecki did as much for Zvizda as Maradona did for Napoli. I'm not saying he's as good as Maradona, but without Maradona, Napoli wouldn't have won two scudetto's and without Robert, Zvizda wouldn't have won the CL.

So as much as it bothers you guys, since you hate Croats so much and "don't respect any of us other than Prosinecki", just remember one thing:

The Champions League trophy of 91 has Prosinecki's name (a Croat) stamped on it forever in big bold print.

I think that at least a century (or a few fresh generations) will have to go by until relations between the Serbs and Croats (and BiH, for that matter) can improve.....and that makes me sad...

I just hope that the parents of future generations won't brainwash their kids into thinking stupid thoughts like SOME (i'm not acusing anyone here) Croats and Serbs do today.

You can talk about hating Serbs and hating Croats, but we'll get nowhere with that.

The fact of the matter is that Prosinecki was an integral part of Zvezda's championship team. Just like Pancev was, just like Savicevic was, just like Jugovic, Belodedic, Mihajlovic, etc...

Just because Prosinecki was a Croat does not make Zvezda's title worth any less!

I just saw this interesting discussion now..
And I have to disagree with you, Prosinecki.
Prosinecki was a very good player and one of Zvezda's best but did not bring us the CL that year..He was one of our best players up to the 1/4 finals, but since then it was really Savicevic who took over. Look at the two games against Bayern Munich in the 1/2 finals..
But that's the semi's..and if I would have to choose one player from that squad and say he brought us the title, it would be Miodrag Belodedic!
A wonderful defender, it was his skill, calm and confident personality and experience that gave our side that extra quality it lacked in the past, just that extra 5% we needed so badly..
I am not taking anything from Prosinecki, he was a great player, but not our best.. :)
