Just curious; Have you actually seen or played indoor soccer before?

I play it a bit, the wall is very useful to use for going round opponents (by hitting the ball against the wall beside them and running behind them to collect it after it rebounds). That seems to be a main advantage to the wall.

Well, pretty much from what I've seen and how I played, the wall is used quite abit to get around defender, like Will said.
Other than that it's a pretty fast paced game.
As far as getting better is concerned, all I can say is practice practice practice.
By playing you'll learn to anticipate the angles, speed, and trajectory of the ball. With that you'll learn how to receive, pass and shoot.
You need to know what the ball is doing in order to decide on how to best control it.
