West Ham have blocked Don Hutchison's proposed loan move to Leeds after suffering a succession of injuries.
The former Scotland midfield man was set to move to Elland Road for a month.
But the Hammers have lost Sergei Rebrov (knee) and Teddy Sheringham (thigh), so manager Alan Pardew said Hutchison will now be staying at Upton Park.
"We wanted him to go on loan to get him up to speed - but that doesn't suit us now. He is going to be involved with Sergei and Teddy missing."
