Aston Villa have received a boost after learning that Jlloyd Samuel's shoulder injury is not as bad as first feared.
The defender had played every minute of every game since David O'Leary joined the club - until he was forced off the pitch in Tuesday's loss to Burnley.
But a scan has revealed the shoulder is just bruised and the 23-year-old could make Saturday's match with Everton.
"He's unbelievable. If anyone has a chance to play it's him," O'Leary told Aston Villa's official website.
