Steven Gerrard hopes to return in time for Liverpool's Premiership match away to Middlesbrough on 20 November.
The England midfielder has not played since breaking a metatarsal in his foot on 20 September at Manchester United.
He said: "I've been given the go-ahead to start running and all going well I could be back training in two weeks."
Gerrard said he did not want to rush things but added: "If there are no complications I should definitely be involved in the trip to Boro."
Gerrard will also be available for the final European group matches away to Monaco on 23 November and at home to Olympiacos on 8 December.
And the Reds skipper cannot wait to get back oin action. He said: "It has been difficult but the physios here at the club and the doctor have been brilliant."
"I am happy with the way things are going and I can definitely now see light at the end of the tunnel."
