View Full Version : owen or cisse??????
owen by far,
one he was a great finisher for LFC.
Cisse cares toooo much about his hair, and misses soooo much chances.
Owen is a match winner,
he made real win two games in a row with some great finishin

Both are class players and it's difficult to compare the two. Cisse needs to be given a chance to settle and adapt to the English pace. Owen has had many great seasons for Liverpool and I would think that by now he would have bagged more than Cisse has, but as I said Cisse must be given time.
I think that Cisse may be able to play as a winger judging by the game against Charlton. This would be a bonus and something that Owen did not do.
To be fair you should ask this question again at the end of the season.

I must say Owen, althought Cisse is a good player also, but Owen was great in his early years with the NT and with Liverpool, actually I fear he can lose his talent warming the bench at Bernabeu, but lately he has been playing more often, hopefully it'll be kept that way.

They'd perhaps be better players playing together I think - they were meant to be in fact, then Liverpool sold Owen. I just think they were a pair of players that could really have a connection and help each other out on the pitch.

Owen! He knows how to make a run for goal! Cisse is quite clueless sometimes!

LOL, perhaps not that badly. He's managed a couple of goals and I detect he's not properly settled yet.

Cisse lookedlike his adepted quite well, and did better than I expected. I thought he would struggle in the Premier League like Saha did before him, coz I think Cisse is definetely no Henry. But he did well, and he couldv'e become one of the leading Prem league scorers this season I think. Very sad about his injury, but I'm sure he'll make a strong comeback.
I still think Owen's move to Real was unwise. He wouldv'e gotten more playing time at Barcelona. Thing is, he probably didn't want to go to a club that's lower than Liverpool, he of course couldn't go to one of the England rival teams, and most euro top teams already have world-class strikers - real(ronaldo, raul), Milan(shev, crespo), Juve(Zlatan,Trez), etc, so that left him with a bit of a dilemma.

Cisse is wise replacement for Owen , but we must remember EPL is alot more maraton than France League . Nevertheless , let's look at the reality , he hadnt adopted yet to EPL , now he is gone for year . Liverpool need an European class striker . Even if Cisse recovers , REDS will have 2 top class striker , BAROS is excluded , is not good enough in my opinion .

sigh, when i first supported liverpool, it was after they won Man Utd thru a danny murphy penalty(years later, they won thru murphy again =) )...i think tt was the year before they won the treble.
anyway, that time owen was still young and ive always thought that he could be groomed into a great dribbler with his awesome pace, he dint anyway but he's still got a few years ahead of him compared to the other great strikers Henry and Ruud =)
holy, im going off topic but anyway, owen for me cuz of his drive
