well in my opinion mls and the a league need to get together well not join but they need to have a relegation and promtion setup the rest of the world has it and it would be a great idea and it should happen the top 3 teams in the a league move up and the bottom 3 mls teams move down or soemthing in that perspective

Lil -- the main problem with the relegation/promotion idea is that the ENTIRE financial structure is different between the two leagues. It costs a team $25 MILLION to come in to MLS, whereas it only costs a team $250 THOUSAND to come into the A-League. I don't think many MLS owners would be too happy about paying that kind of money to be playing in the A-League if they got relegated, AND, I don't think the rest of the MLS owners would be too happy if a team paying only $250K was playing in MLS. See the problem here? In theory it is a great idea, however in practicality, it really wouldn't work.
